So, you want to know about me? Well, life has been interestin', that's for sure. Havin' been born into House Bainilus as a child slave, I knew what hard work looked like. Not as bad as the mines, sure, but servin' in the kitchen is a hard life too. Still, it's not usually DANGEROUS work. The most scary things were the horror stories my mum used to tell me. How if'n you pissed off the lords and ladies, bad things might happen. Like they send you to the labs where you grow claws and extra eyes and get fed bad halflins. Or, well, you know, the other way around. But then the Lady Bainilus decided it was time she stepped up and grew some balls. Not sure how that works with a woman and all, but that's what she said, anyways. So she and this fellow from the capital decided to summon some devil. Not sure what the point was, but that sneaky bastard that 'helped' her sent his familiar over and broke the pentagle. Ruthless SOB, 'cause I'm pretty sure he did it on purpose. That thing was out of that pentagle thing and on the mistress like... well like nothin' I ever seen before. Stepped right on the familiar on its way out too. Shows what a nob the city guy was. Taught me you do NOT trust folks, even the ones that seem friendly. Anyways, it slices the mistress open and bites her head off. I don't mean what most folks mean when they say that. It was BIG and it actually bit her head off. I can stil hear the crunchin'. It was bad. Seems kinda redundant to me. I mean, I'm pretty sure she was dead when her guts came pourin' out so why the head? Must be a devil thing. After that it started eatin' halflins whole. I think the thing thought they tasted good. At least that's what my mum liked to say, and now I'm pretty sure she was right. Funny thing about all that, nothin' scares me any longer.

Anyways, don't want to bore you with the usual devil summonin' story. Bottom line was my earthen powers done appeared and provided me with a fast escape in the form of steps appearin' out of nowhere. I booked it out of there. And when I mean out of there, I mean out the door and as far away as I could. I hid for a while but nobody came lookin for me. I'm thinkin' that the thing ate so many halflins that they never thought I might have gotten away. I think it got my mom. I check every once in a while at the old place, but no mom.

After that I had to make a livin' for myself. Couldn't take a normal job because, for sure, someone would figure things out and I'd be back to bein' a slave. And as hard as it is on the streets, bein' a slave REALLY sucks. You would think that workin in the kitchens you would at least eat well. And maybe it does in some other house, but not hers. I eat a lot better now that I steal my meals.

I've always fantasized about joinin' the Bellflower Network, but I have seen first hand how that usually ends and I am at heart a survivor. So, hard pass. If you are careful and keep your thefts to a minimum you can eat pretty well and avoid notice, so that is what I usually do. Occasionally I get work spyin' for the Silver Ravens, but not lately, they have been hidin' or somethin'. Sometimes the Red Jills will have me poke around somewhere and send a few coppers my way. Nobody notices a street urchin like me huddled up in a nest out of sight. 'less it is a guard. They take great pleasure in harassin' anyone hangin' about lookin' like they have no purpose. I take care to make sure the jobs are safe and do not involve nosey guards.

I really like them big meetin's. Everybody is so focused they's practically beggin' to be robbed. And the more boring' the meetin', seems like the bigger the purses. But you got to be careful. So far, I've been lucky, cause here I am, right?
