Hey Guys I have a question relating to mythic characters and the prestige class Demoniac.

At Level 1 Demoniac the character receives the "Damned" ability where when they die they are sent to the abyssal plane and their soul is converted into a demon.

This part makes sense but what if that character is a character with immortality (Mythic Tier 9 and/or 10)? Does their soul still go to the Abyssal plane and come back as an immortal demon like that of a Demon Lord? Do they resurrect the next day and they only go to the Abyssal Plane if actually killed by a Critical hit/Coup De Grace by Artifact?

So let me know what you guys think.

Thank you!

Thanks guys. And Sissyl you are correct, I was out of context by calling this a war where in it is a siege. If you guys have anymore pointers that would be awesome because I still have about two weeks before this becomes a serious possibility.

My Apologies for not being entirely clear. The support army has many paladins but Paladins do not make up the entire army. Likewise with the Anti Paladins, there are a good number of them but they are not the whole army. Both sides have plenty of fighters and mages to increase the numbers. The Paladins are in charge of their army though just as the Anti - Paladins are in charge of theirs.

Alright, I have been wanting to throw my PC's into a full scale war (to the extreme of Helm's Deep in LOTR 2). The idea is they will be defending against an army of Anti-Paladins. The number of Soldiers, the resources, and amount of money is all relatively fixed for both sides. The enemy will be attacking with siege weapons, heavy and light infantry, and evil mages. The PC's will aid in defending with the army, the aid of the Church, the mage academies, and a support army of paladins.

For this I have several questions.

1. How would I give experience for surviving the war (my thought is to give them a base amount of XP and add all enemies they kill on top of it + Xp for any other smart decisions they make)

2. How would Mages used magic to create a worthy defence system to protect the integrity of their walls etc?

3. What kind of preparations would a fantasy city make to protect itself? I mean we know there will be the collection of resources, and the fortification of the city but is there more that the city can do in a Pathfinder world?

And is there anything else I should consider?

Thank you guys

Thanks Guys this really helped me clear up a lot. Much appreciated.

Careful of the Spell blood Biography. I had a PC assassinate a political figure and the other PC's figured out it was him just by the spell blood biography which pretty much tells the following.

DESCRIPTION
You learn the answers to a specific set of questions about a creature so long as you have access to at least one drop of its blood. You can cast this spell on the blood of the living or the dead, but living or undead creatures are entitled to a Saving Throw to resist the spell. You can cast the spell on dried or fresh blood. Once you cast the spell the answers to the following four questions appear on any flat surface you designate (a wall, a piece of paper, and so on).

Who are you? (The name by which the creature is most commonly known)
What are you? (Gender, race, profession/role)
How was your blood shed? (Brief outline of the events that caused its wound, to the best of the victim's knowledge)
When was your blood shed?
These answers always appear in a language you can read even if the creature cannot speak that or any language.

Hi so I am still a bit of a rookie at being DM and even more so at understanding the loopholes of Pathfinder. Was running a session last night and one of the things my PC's found in their research was a burned diary.

The idea was they would have to use what they knew to put forth inferences.

However according to them they claim a make whole spell would be enough to not only restore the page that was burned but also restore the writing as well. I mean at this rate the rest of the diary they dont have might as be restored as well which seems weird in my opinion.

Make whole says how it fixes magic items and how to heal constructs but can it restore a page of a book burned over 800 years ago? With the writing included?

Thanks everyone
