About Brock Brightmore

Brock Brightmore
All Edward Brightmore had done his whole life was hide the evidence of his grandfathers Orc blood that tainted his family, he shaved often, had a well built diet to keep his bulk down a size, he had been lucky and had been born short, and he wore make-up to hide his lightly grey skin. He hoped the blood would be so thinned out that his children would not bare the hereditary marks of savagery. His first son Brock had ruined his hopes. You see Edward was the Owner of a large Shipping Company on the docks of Warwick. His business had taken off and he had taken to the life of high society. He deemed that his children would be that like the Noble men’s children. Brock was anything but Noble, he was a giant, at 15 he had been 6’3 and 250 pounds and by his 19th year he had grown to 7’2, this sickness might have been a blessing if he had taken to sword play like the other well-to-do boys. No Edward had the shame of having his son be kicked out of Saber School for bringing a Great Axe to a Saber fight. Even this Edward might have gotten over, but his son wasn’t the smartest man. Brock couldn’t read no matter how many tutors tried, and figures, and mapping were all but lost on the poor lout. So Edward grew to hate his son, and gave Brock a job as a loader to keep him out of the way, hidden while his other children would be groomed. Brock Brightmore on the other hand loved his life, he loved talking to the sailors on the docks and drinking into the wee hours of the night, and loved to brawl with the fancy folk who he couldn’t stand, just because you had money and fame didn’t mean you were to look down on the others around you. He loved seeing their faces as they challenged him to gentlemen duels, they always backed out when he brought his Great Axe. In fact the only wealthy person he had come to like was another like him, Sandros Highmount. Sandors was a social outcast like him, an odd duck to be separated from the herd, they got along great! Unlike Brock, Sandors could speak like the wealthy and play there games, but only to toy with those who thought themselves above others, Sandros had been a genius. They drank together, and danced with the ladies, and talked about all the foolish families full of money and lust for more power. They were great friends, but then Sandros suddenly disappeared. A few days later he had heard rumor that Sandros had gone out for adventure, and Brock would be damned if he missed out, he left the day after he heard, to find his own.
