I'm running a group through SCAP converted to 4e. They're in the middle of The Demonskar Legacy which I'm planning on leading into The Siege of Regorge, as detailed on the SCAP Wiki. The party is on their way to 8th level.
I'm considering postponing the group's adventure to Occipitus until later in the campaign. Planar adventuring seems like something more geared for higher level characters, or in 4e parlance, something more appropriate for Paragon tier play.
Are there any drawback to doing this? There didn't seem to be any immediate repercussions from passing The Test of the Smoking Eye for the characters after they return to Cauldron. I'd rather keep the focus on Cauldron and the Cagewrights now, then bring them to Occipitus on their way to finding Adimarchus later in the campaign.
