Okay so I'm unsure as to whether or not there is a base skill rank that you get for your class. Like each class has a set of class skills they are given, does that mean though that those skills have a base rank of 1 or are they just skills that you have, but don't have a rank in? To me it seems silly if you don't because the class skills should be easier to rank up than a skill that you don't normally have, and the only way I can think of that it would be easier is if they had a base rank of 1 in those skills. Also another question, it says you can't have a score over your classes hit die, does that mean the total score can't be over the hit die or the skill rank can't be over the hit die?

Okay, cool. Well that helps, thank you!

Okay, but how do I determine how many I get off the bat? I'm assuming 1 till I can figure this out.

I know there are probably a dozen other posts like this one, but lets face it, I'm a bit lazy for that kind of search. Anyway, the reason for this post. I'm almost done building my Bard and I just noticed, I don't know how to determine how many feats or even if I get feats that I can have. Anyway wanna shed some light on this please?

Okay, but say you got high enough to cast 5th level spells but only had a score of 14, how would you increase the ability score? I'm sure it's in the book but I can't for the life of me find it.

Okay so I'm still relatively new to Pathfinder and I'm trying to make a Bard. However when I read about the spells it says that in order to use spells you need to have the charisma equal to 10 plus the spell level. So in my mind it makes me think for a 2nd level spell it would be 12. My Charisma has a score of 14, so in my head I should be able to cast it and spells up to level 4. However I keep hearing that I need to be a higher level, and I know that's true but I don't understand how that really works. Can someone explain it? Please and Thank you!

Okay so I was reading in one of the books for some other races, and noticed that some of the traits said add +1/4 to such and such DC. My question is does it mean 1/4 as in 25% or 1/4 as in 1 to 4 and that I have to roll my d4 for it? Please and thank you!
