Ah yes, it appears that Boros is indeed unable to make this mission. Bummer.
I do have a melee character (Pooka, the halfling, dog-riding cavalier!) whom I love playing. He is in a scenario right not on these boards though, I am working to figure out when he will be wrapped up. I'll let you know asap.

I still need to update Boros and maybe spend some gold. Ill be updated shortly.

So we have an aid token we can use for 5d6 healing for the entire party, AND we have an empowered feather we can use for a full party TPK raise?
I'm not sure my opinion should count here, but if we are all already almost dead, would it make sense to let this thing finish us off and use the empowered feather to raise us and try again?
Or is it more worth it to use the healing and keep trying to plug away?

Boros was brought to -5 by all the fire. thanks to Guarded life, that is 2 hp with 7 non-lethal, so unconscious and on fire. Mercifully, it looks like Boros' participation in this combat is over.

We know the phoenix has an AOE and during the last fight we even said we needed to spread out, BUT in this precombat we all are clustered on the map.
Did we make the mistake? Or did the game just get pushed along in a way that puts us in the most disadvantageous position?
Frankly I'm tired of my actions getting assumed by the GM and getting my tail kicked in for it. Maybe it's better that we TPK so we can just be done with this.

So with Keriassa using 2 channels, does that mean we empowered both feathers? Do we have to pass an empowered feather on or can we keep it in case we need it to revive a tpk? Or do we have to hope we get an empowered feather?
If we have to pass on an empowered feather, then my vote is we pass both of them on and hope the other tables are just as generous. Passing items across tables (in my opinion) is typically the most advantageous option for the scenario and all the tables in it.
We should also talk about how we are going to approach this second wave. I can't believe we survived that and we are about to fight another one with only 2 rounds to try to patch ourselves up.
If our melee characters can get into the air and flank it, it should have a harder time flying all over the place to do whatever it wants. I am out of 4th level spells now, so I won't be able to cast the spell that reduced it's spell resistance again. I wasted one of my two casting greater invisibility when this thing can apparently see invisibility.
I will gladly use my potion of fly, but I do think it would be best in the hands of someone like Narayan so he can be the most effective, unless he has another way to gain flight.
Just some thoughts, would love to hear others!

Boros takes a deep breath, reaching into his handy haversack for his medlance and his spare potion of cure serious wounds. He empties the potion down his throat and hammers the lance into his thigh, injecting the potion. Finally, he grabs his final potion of fly and holds it out for Narayan.
"Here, we need your fists to be able to follow this bird through the air, if you don't already have one of these." the plumekith says.
CSW: 6d8 + 10 ⇒ (8, 3, 7, 3, 7, 1) + 10 = 39
This will put Boros at 57 hp.
First round: Move to draw potion of CSW. Swift to change judgement of destruction to judgement of healing. Standard to drink potion of CSW. Second Round: Move to draw Medlance. Swift to inject potion of CSW. Second move action to draw potion of fly and hand it to Narayan.
Add another 4hp for the healing judgement during the second round, Boros is up to 61.
Narayan, No biggie if you don't want the potion of fly, Boros will probably just drink it on his first turn if you don't use it. Unless another melee character wants it! We need to perfect our tactics or we are all going to need one of those feathers to revive a tpk...

Oh, this is way better. Thanks Narayan!
"Here!" Boros croaks with a dry throat. Battered and burned, the archer steadies himself as he is lifted by the enormous Nagaji warrior to his feet. His scorched bow still feels strong in his hands. His mind flits to his potion of cure serious wounds, tucked away in a medlance in his pack. Just as before though, he knows that it wouldn't really matter. This bird needs to be destroyed, or they would all be destroyed.
Pulling arrows from his quiver in a familiar blur, Boros sends bolt after bolt streaking through the air at the phoenix. All he needs is to aim for the right spot, and the magic that is holding him together will take care of the rest.
Edit Edit Edit: Assuming since I am blind that someone tells me where to aim. Seeking quality on the bow negates the miss chance.

Thank you Keriassa! FWIW - Boros has a Medlance (from Trial by Machine) with a potion of cure serious wounds loaded in it. I just reviewed my character sheet and it looks like I neglected the spring loaded wrist sheath though. Never mind, you wouldn't be able to find that on my invisible body.

Wrath gives Boros an additional +3 for overcoming a creature's spell resistance, so the result of your roll would be 21.
Also, just making sure you accounted for Narayan's attack. He specifically stated he is standing next to me waiting for the phoenix to get within range. It should have been in range before it had a chance to attack, as you stated it came down to 5' above the ground. Leaving that area should have also provoked an AoO from at least Narayan.

Heyo - we are already getting salty here, why not get a little more nerdy?
Flame wall, wall of flame, whatever is 20' high. This creature is gargantuan, and in your last post you made it a point to say that the creature is 35' off the ground. It is clearly high enough in the air that Nugats should be able to see it from his current vantage point. This seems perfectly logical
Look, we are all just trying to have fun here. We all like rules and want to play within them. No one wants to get nerfed or made useless because of an incorrect interpretation of the rules either. High level is already very complicated.
Let's just finish this so we can all move on.

If you do not have the Improved Disarm feat, or a similar ability, attempting to disarm a foe provokes an attack of opportunity from the target of your maneuver. Attempting to disarm a foe while unarmed imposes a –4 penalty on the attack.
If your attack is successful, your target drops one item it is carrying of your choice (even if the item is wielded with two hands). If your attack exceeds the CMD of the target by 10 or more, the target drops the items it is carrying in both hands (maximum two items if the target has more than two hands). If your attack fails by 10 or more, you drop the weapon that you were using to attempt the disarm. If you successfully disarm your opponent without using a weapon, you may automatically pick up the item dropped.
Emphasis mine. I emphasize this for one reason - the Phoenix's claw is a weapon. It is a natural attack, not an unarmed attack. There is a distinct difference. It can disarm me, but I disagree that it should be able to automatically pick up my bow.

Ok, I don't want to wait any longer, so I will just go with greater invisibility.
Boros calls upon his mistress once again, defensively casting another powerful spell. The inquisitor blinks out of sight at the spells completion.
Defensive Casting, DC 23: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
Cast greater invisibility defensively. Free action to give myself a round of haste with my boots, Swift action to change judgement of piercing to judgement of resistance (fire), move action to get out of the burning ring of fire. Judge of Fire Resist gives me a total of 8 fire resistance. Since I am now invisible, I should not have to worry about provoking AoOs.

Narayan's problem was that it was 20' in the air. It is currently only 5' in the air, which means Boros is within it's melee range and can't 5' step out of it.
It is close enough to the ground that it is within melee reach of Narayan currently.
If I 5' step straight 'south' on the map, I am just barely within reach of this thing. If it were to be moved 5' 'north' on the map, I could step out of it's melee reach and get a full attack action off without getting tripped by it's AoO.
If that isn't possible, then I will use my next action to move out of the way and either drink a potion of fly, or maybe make myself invisible. I just hate to lose a round of potential damage, but those damn AoOs are making my damage impossible to deal right now anyways.

I'm going to wait a little bit to see what some of the others do first. I can't get out of this thing's reach and take a full attack action without provoking AoOs.
If there is a way for someone to move him up 1 square (without sacrificing all the damage you are capable of doing) that would be amazing.

Having taken a beating while standing up and seeing this creatures ability to unleash damage opportunistically, Boros is very careful about his next move. Growling in frustration that he is unable to do what he was created to do, Boros chants the incantation to a powerful spell, but does so defensively. His good buddy Nugats needs help, and he knows how to help him.
Swift action to change Judgement of Justice to Judgement of Piercing (gives me +4 to my caster check to overcome spell resistance). Casting Judgement Light defensively.
Defensive Casting to avoid AoO, DC 23 for 4th level spell: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Spell Resistance check, Wrath gives +3 to this roll, J of Pierce gives +4: 1d20 + 10 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 3 + 4 = 37
As Boros completes the spell, First a violent red light explodes from his body, followed by a deep violet colored burst. Both of these waves envelop the phoenix.
With judgement of Destruction active, the Phoenix takes 4d8 points of damage and is shaken for 1d4 rounds. A DC 18 Will save means half damage and negates the shaken condition. Judgement of Piercing is active also, which means it's spell resistance is reduced by 5 for 10 rounds, no save for that.
Judgement Light Damage: 4d8 ⇒ (2, 7, 7, 6) = 22 and Shaken for: 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds.

Ok, trying to organize everything going on here. By my count, Boros has now taken a total of 37 fire damage. This means he has 3 temporary hp left. The dispel magic has removed the Resist Fire 20, Haste, and Heroism. Wrath is still active, as is Good Hope from Keriassa. If that is wrong, please let me know! This high level stuff is so busy...
When the pheonix dismisses most of the magic that was helping Boros, he suddenly begins to sweat. The flames around him make his feathers singe at their edges. "Your rebirth will repair this tapestry!" he yells, putting the pieces together of Aram Zey's desperate hail mary of a ploy. Boros steps aside slightly, hoping to stay just out of the reach of the pheonix. His arm begins to send arrows at point blank range at the body of the creature, knowing that it is a race to the death between himself and his foe. Thoughts of his friends race through the back of his mind. His feud with Glarifyur. It all seems so petty now, and he may never have a chance to make things right.
No matter. This is why he joined the society. Perhaps he will be remembered.

Also bragging rights...
Bragging rights don't do anything for me. It's like bragging about your fantasy football team. Usually, no one cares. ha! :)
I am indifferent about hard mode then. It doesn't sound like it's really worth it to me, we've already had one PC death. If the majority of the group is gung-ho and really wants to do it, I'm game. otherwise I say no. Just my 2 copper though.

This might be a stupid question, but do we get a greater reward for the increased risk? Otherwise it seems kind of silly. I'll go with the group majority as well. Boros scrambles frenetically at the base, looking for potions and other things. The scene is like a mass bazar, pathfinder agents everywhere calling out for items as various teams straggle back in.

Ohhhhh this website tests my patience…. So. often. Been trying to post since 9am.
I'm going to assume we are still fighting since no one has made a decision one way or the other.
The assault feels overwhelming, the undead just keep flowing. Hopefully Arem Zey can get this stitched up soon! Boros thinks. His wings flutter, spilling dirt in little dust devils around him as he raises slightly off the ground. His bow continues to work in a blur at the larger target that is still visible, carrying with it the holy bane of the undead.
Swift to activate Undead Bane, 5' adjust straight up. Full attack on the red creature. Attack modifiers in play for this attack: Bane, Heroism, Weapon of Awe, Haste, Judgement of Destruction, Rapid Shot, Manyshot, Deadly Aim. Assuming the shaken condition is gone too right?

Greater Invisibility was too short of a buff to have been able to cast it before the battle started. The first attack should go against flat footed, though it probably didn't matter with what I rolled. Maybe the smart thing might have been to spend a round or two buffing more, but sometimes the way pathfinder tends to go, the best answer really is to just sling as much damage out as you can and hope for the best. :)

Is that thing carrying a bow? Boros asks, suddenly feeling a slight bit vulnerable. Better to take it down quickly before it can take him down. Boros calls once again on his mistress to judge his undead enemy. With that bolstering his arrows, he once again allows himself to fall into the flow of the dirge. With a skeletal foe in front of them, Boros is careful to pull out his blunt arrows, just in case. Same damage, just bludgeoning instead of piercing. Not sure if it has that kind of DR but don't want to take a chance.
Thanks for the heads up on the bonuses stacking. I'll adjust how I do my judgements now. In this case, I will activate Judgement of Destruction and Judgement of Protection.

Should be enough to knock her out, but some questions/remarks: Does your character get divine or profane bonusses with his judgement? Coordinated Shot doesn't give you plusses as Narayan is providing cover. I only get to a +21, so what am I missing?
No worries, good questions. Boros gets Sacred bonuses. The other +3 is the reckless abandon from the inspired rage/raging song. I can take a -3 to AC and add +3 to attack. It looks like I messed up my judgement of justice bonus, I was only counting for +2 when it should have been +3. It all works out in the wash because you are right about Coordinated shot, I forgot about the 'not providing cover' qualifier.
Boros nearly collapses when the fight is over. He sends a small prayer to his mistress, grateful for the aid she has blessed him with. With that prayer, he also pulls out his wand of healing and watches as the scorched skin repairs. The scorched feathers, on the other hand, may take a little longer to grow back.

A feeling of serenity passes over Boros as he stares down the caster woman, so defiant and full of bravado. His first reaction had been to protect Nugats from the griffen, but that problem was taken care of.
If his arrows didn't bring down the mage, someone else was going to die for it. He hoped it would be him, for the sake of the others. A fleeting thought passes through his mind, of Glarifyur and the feud between them.
No time for that now.

It probably still doesn't matter, but Boros reflex save would be at least 18. Base of 11, heroism for 2 more, and haste gives another +1 to reflex. I'm guessing the save DC is much higher...
In regards to Boros' condition - Boros should have 57 hp before getting hit by the chain lightning. I just realized my tag line is incorrect because it doesn't account for the 10 extra hp from the Moral Con Bonus. With Electricity Resistance 5 (from being an Aasimar) the bolt will do 53 damage, leaving him at 4hp. If his HP were 47 like it says in my tag line, your math is perfect. Boros accepts the raging song again, reveling in the flow. That electricity hurt, but he would press on. Either these thieves go down, or he finally sees his mistress face to face.
They will at least taste Callistria's judgement before he goes.

I would like to make sure I have a full understanding of our position, which isn't good clearly.
Can I still use my GM Reroll? I've got 1 star too. I would like to attempt to save on that reflex again. Reflex reroll with gm star just in case: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 13 + 1 = 33
Boros has electricity resistance 5 - so Boros would have 15hp left - still pointless if we get hit by a massive spell again, unless that roll above saves and I am allowed to use it.
Can I see the one who threw the lightning bolt to the point where I could make a full attack? I think I have a chance to take her out in one salvo if I get some halfway decent rolls. I won't do it if everyone else wants to give up though.

"Maybe I wasn't clear when I said This is your only chance to leave with your life." Boros says as he raises his bow.
What are the relevant knowledge checks here if I may?

"It is too bad for you that you allowed yourself to be used by the hag. You thought you were coming in for easy pickings when she was just sending you in as a ruse to get our attention while she gets what she wants. Did she tell you that you were running into a place the Pathfinder Society defends? Drop your weapons and anything you collected while you were here. This is your only chance to leave with your life." Boros adds to Sparky's ultimatum.
Boros will cast weapon of awe (10 minutes) and Divine favor just as we show up. I'll save some of my potions for later in the scenario I think...
Edit: As Sparky mentioned above, Heroism and Barkskin would still be active.

"How about a few vermin bane arrows for your lunch instead of my blood?" Boros smirks. He steps deftly to the side and launches a volley of arrows up at the disgusting creature flying above him.

Boros smiles as the song reaches his ears, the beat seeming to hum along with his natural body rhythms. He opens his mind to allow the song in, and allow himself to flow with the music.
Boros sees the stone bounce off the tough little gnome and breaths a sigh of relief that he seems to be ok. When he sees the giant with the green leather foot wraps peeking out around one of the corners, he takes aim and lets fly with arrows made to cut down giants, thanks to the blessings of Callistria.

I'm not sure what we are looking at. My bonus isn't great, but can I get an appropriate knowledge roll? Boros is able to 5' step to have line of sight/effect to red and get a full round attack action off.
Knowledge (Appropriate one of Arcana/Dungeon/Nature/Planes OR Religion): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 +4 in ranks, +4 for Monster Lore ability
When the heros arrive at the location to confront the astral invaders, Boros adjusts his positioning just to the side. His companions get right to work, running down the enemies, and Boros fills the air above their heads with arrows that carry the judgement of Callistria, taking direct aim at the enemy with the red flowing scarf.
Swift: Activate Judgement of Destruction and Justice, 5' step sideways to get clear line of sight to Red. Full attack. Modifiers for attack are: Haste, Judgement of Destruction and Justice, Manyshot, Rapid shot, Deadly Aim. Assuming this is against FF AC since we go before them?

Boros' shoulders fall in relief as the threat is finally neutralized. He runs up to Narayan, pulling his curing wand out on the way. Without bothering to check to see if he is alive, Boros wastes no time and taps the warrior with the wand.

"That was close. Remind me to stay away from a duergar's axe." Boros gets up to collect himself, making sure that the Nagahi has what he needs to finish healing himself after that wicked blow.
"A night hag? Why can't I think of what that is... We are going to need to do some research so we can be ready for this one I think."

It is up to you guys, I am good to keep going -
We don't need to necessarily vote - I don't want to put casters or anyone else in undue harms way if you are just depleted. We've got a fair amount of healing amongst us to get Narayan back up to full if he doesn't have enough himself.

I shot at the red. I can see invisibility (per my ability I used) but just wanted to point out it was a seeking bow, just to make double sure the GM knew I didn't have to worry about the concealment miss chance.
Since I am likely the only one who can see Green, I will try to shoot at him first, if he is an available target.

Boros moves across the battlefield, inspired by Keriassa's song. Whether he is ready to simply fire his bow or not, he allows himself to fall into the thrall of the words, relishing in the rage of the skald.
Accepting the skald's song, this should be fun!
In a good position now, towering over his gnome friend, Boros lets loose a single arrow at the glittery Morgh.
Firing at the one outlined in red - Modifiers in effect: Heroism, Weapon of Awe, Inspired Rage w/reckless abandon, Point blank shot, Deadly Aim. Bow is adaptive to allow me to add the bonus to strength from the song, and seeking just in case somehow there is a concealment miss chance.

Ugh, should have just stayed put...
Boros curses himself for getting out of position. He quicksteps back to where he started and enacts his innate ability to see invisibility. At least with the two Dureuger in the center of the room making themselves so large, he shouldn't have a hard time hitting them.
Hopefully.
Move back to where I started, standard to use spell like ability see invisibility.
