Yes, but it will add an extra +10 minutes traveltime.

I am still waiting for Keri to decide if she wants to use a reroll, as this will affect your modifiers (probably not your actions though). Also, even though you made the save againt the howl, you are shaken for a round affecting your modifiers even more. Also, that was quite a short invisibility...

Greater Invisibility was too short of a buff to have been able to cast it before the battle started. The first attack should go against flat footed, though it probably didn't matter with what I rolled. Maybe the smart thing might have been to spend a round or two buffing more, but sometimes the way pathfinder tends to go, the best answer really is to just sling as much damage out as you can and hope for the best. :)

Yes, I think so, even though it feels a bit weird to save yourself.


Guys, we need to make haste. The clock is ticking and you really want finish this encounter. I might put some people in delay so all PCs are in the same block.

If Green didn't roll stealth, then I believe Sparky should still have a pretty clear sense of where it is, no metagaming required. Particularly with a Perception of ~+20, and not needing to target it specifically...

I was thinking I was on top of a hill and the stairs lead down. So I agree on green being hard to see. But if he was being stealthy did he move at half speed? :)

Ok, so due to hwo this scenario works (successes of other tables moving the story forward) I think you should run away, because even if you win it will leave you severly crippled for the final encounter.

Nugats can teleport Keri and Tree and the others can hasted fly fast enough away.

Then you can get proper healed before the final encounter starts.

What do you all think?

Sparky has a wisdom of 5 right now. He knows he isn't the best person to make big choices like that so will go with the majority.

Metagame:
If you don't finish this encounter before time called you'll have 2 rounds. Winning might even trigger time being called. If you run you might have time to get healed. (If the descision is made before time is called)

I didn't have a strong opinion on the matter, but now I'm leaning more towards leaving and prepping for the next act. I figured we'd be done in 2 rounds, but if they can just hide in the ground this could take awhile.

Nugats is learning what several players have learned in the past. The downside to being invisible is that no one can heal you.
Keriassa could in theory channel for his 2d6 but he's dead. I haven't counted yet but I assume Sparky is near death.

We can retreat with 1 maybe 2 deaths or stay, Possibly win, but ith probably 1 - 2 more deaths.

Nugats was only paralyzed for a round and its his turn now. He has teleport and Keri's body and Tree are next to him (maybe he has Dimension Door in his book, as a teleport mishap might be bad). The rest all move very fast (>=90)


With regards to the final encounter:

This might be a stupid question, but do we get a greater reward for the increased risk? Otherwise it seems kind of silly. I'll go with the group majority as well. If there is a greater reward for the increased challenge, then I would lean towards the extra challenge. If not, I would just as soon try to get everyone out of here alive.

Bragging rights don't do anything for me. It's like bragging about your fantasy football team. Usually, no one cares. ha! :)

I am indifferent about hard mode then. It doesn't sound like it's really worth it to me, we've already had one PC death. If the majority of the group is gung-ho and really wants to do it, I'm game. otherwise I say no. Just my 2 copper though.

I'm missing 2 con so could use 1. Not sure if that requires another charge from the infernal healing wand or not since it is reduced max hit points and not damage.

Don't need the scrolls Narayan, but thanks.

I need to be offline for several hours, but unless someone has a better resist I will use spell kenning to cast resist fire, communal (CL 7) as a 3rd level spell slot. If someone can give out a better resist, then I will cast protection from fire on myself instead using the same ability.

For the second round I will drink the shield extract Sparky gave me.
