I think I will go with Gift of Madness at 3rd. It will help with the control/debuff role.

Heh. That does sound awesome.

Hm. Homicidal madness, eh?

Have you thought about possibly being a Battle Oracle instead with the Black Blooded archetype? It's much more suited to straight up combat than Dark Tapestry is (though Dark Tapestry also undoubtedly has some nifty-as-f*#* abilities).

Less Outsider-ish though and more "I'ma straight up murder your face!" which may not really fit your concept as much, but I'll throw it out there anyway.

Other than that, I'll stick by what I suggested earlier as Revelations for a DT Oracle.

Also, is it just me, or is the Oracle one of the only classes that has almost universally awesome Domain/Bloodline/Arcane School-esque choices (what would you even categorize those as)?

I've only had a chance to look at the other Oracle mysteries, and the only one I feel dubious about is Lore.

Part of making this character is based on a 4th edition D&D warlock with the star pact, long before I ever watched Soul Eater. I loved the idea of a dark spellcaster with powers based on stars, madness, and the void of space, so when I really excited to see the Dark Tapestry mystery in the rules.

Well if you really want to be Crona you should multiclass with Bladebound Magus to get your Black Blade.

As for Revelations, Dweller in Darkness, Many Forms, and Wings of Darkness also look pretty neat. Brain Drain looks cool too, especially if you ever needed to get information from a prisoner.

I've played a Bladebound magus who's black sword was basically Ragnarok. It was hilarious.

For this character, think if Crona was almost constantly in 'Homicidal Madness' mode with Cthulhu elements.

I was planning on getting Wings of Darkness at level 7. However that's also the level Gift of Madness last for rounds equal to your level, not just one.

With all that being said, any suggestions on revelations?

I do need to brush up on the rules again, but the GMs I play with also tend to play fast and loose with the rules sometimes.

Thanks guys. That helps quite a bit. Dennis, another question. Why would my stealth check be higher without armor? Because of the Max Dex bonus?

A battle aspergillum

Just out of curiosity, why don't the armor stack?

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

For the armor bonus, and to help offset the Dex penalty to Stealth, which is a class skill.

I first came up with this character's basic background when D&D 4th Ed. was released and I've been try to get him off the ground for several champagnes now (none of which lasted more than a few sessions). I would like thoughts on him and advice on what his role should be in a somewhat awkward party lineup.

nicknamed Shriek (actual name Lucian Mor)
Human Oracle 2
Str: 15 Dex: 15 Con: 15 Int: 14 Wis: 14 Cha: 18
HP: 22
AC: 16 (Hide armor)

Skills- Bluff:1 Diplomacy:2 Disguise:1 Heal:2 Intimidate:2 Knowledge Arcana:2 Knowledge Planes:1 Sense Motive:1 Stealth:2

Feats: Spell Focus(necromancy), Improved Initiative

Mystery: Dark Tapestry
Curse: Black Blooded (archetype, positive energy hurts, negative energy heals, -4 to Dex skills)
Revelation: Cloak of Darkness (+4 AC,+2 Stealth one hour/level)

Spells
Orisons: Detect Magic, Read Magic, Light, Resistance, Guide, Stabilize
1st (5 per day): Doom, Command, Inflict Light Wound, Entropy Shield

Known around the group as the 'Cthulhu cultist', he is an childlike, semi-insane pawn of dark, alien powers. I use the insane part to add humor and a bit of randomness outside of combat. Having to use the cleric spell list, I've focused on the fear-effect and debuff spells to start with.

The problem that I'm having is I don't know what to do build towards, or what role to play in the group.
The Party consists of a dwarf paladin with stone powers, a gunslinger, a ninja (who's player kind of knows what he's doing), a druid (who's player doesn't know what she's doing and is going to be our attack spellcaster), a cleric using fire and healing domains, and me, who's options include minor shapeshifting and melee support, buffs and debuffs, a few attack spells and abilities, healing, and a lot of mind effecting powers, which seem to get Will-saved against often.

That's it in a nutshell. Any thoughts and advice is appreciated. Thanks.
