Thanks for doing all this Stacy!

I'm going to fire off a bunch of questions here. We've probably gone over this somewhere but I've forgotten how all this works.
How much are we allowed/can (to) build in one cycle? What would it cost to start up this new village in F2? Do we have to set BP aside for that?

In the long term: What about getting a militia going? What's involved and how much BP is involved? Do we get a choice of soldier or is it generic? What about building walls, same questions?
We have a castle to build eventually, is there a set timeline? Generic cost and cookie cutter build like the houses?

What about taming the rivers or improving them for safer barge & boat travel? A safe water system must be good for trade, right? We should be able to magic some of this but how does that work? Do we save BP? Are the guardians even involved in the process or do we just get to say, "we build a house"?

So Magister, council member and hermit. Never liked politics and its no wonder Bokken didn't ring a bell, the man's a hermit - out of sight, out of mind :)

Starting date? And is it just Stacey and I? or will the others be present?

Kyras, I fear all this bureaucracy has clouded your vision and we would be better served if all this, Bjelich tips a hand at Kyras treasure trove of paper, were delegated elsewhere. Danna's transformation is but one crisis we have weathered here, others loom on the horizon as yet unseen. I'm sure there is someone capable of moving paper on your behalf.
Not getting a response, Bjelich clinches his teeth in frustration, Very well. Come along Finwik, there is work to be done outside these walls.

Bjelich takes Finwik with him to find the fiend of a brother Taldani. Until Danna resurfaces, Kyras seems content to hide within a fortress of paper. Meanwhile the country is left to its own unpredictable fate. I propose we take a trip south of Silverguard. We need to seek those who share our borders and offer peaceful trade. Sooner or later, we will need commerce to flow through Silverguard, better to start now in my opinion. Giving a friendly nudge to Finwik the cleric adds, You of all people should appreciate the benefits of increased foot traffic through our lands. Merchants bring gold, exotic goods, women... he lets his words hang in the air for the gnome to ponder. Should Bjelich find Taldani he expresses as such to the fiend. Although he hopes for a positive response, part of Bjelich feels Taldani may choose to stay close to his brother's side.
Bjelich spends the next few days in preparation for a long expedition. Using his own funds, he begins by gathering the latest maps both of Silverguardia(?) (Is that what we named our country? Sheesh, pretty pathetic for the Bishop to forget the name of the country he resides in.) and of the known lands to the north and south.

Do we know what is south of these lands? How educated are we about the Inner Sea and its basic geography? For instance, if Bjelich wanted to take a trip to Kaer Maga, would he know it existed or in which direction to go?

I'd like to explore the borders of our lands some more, learn with whom we share our borders and what sort of trade is to be had. Our lands have been blessed with a few rivers, we should use them to build a reliable trade route through the river kingdoms to Brevoy. Brothels are not as profitable when the clientele consists mainly of locals. They need travelling merchants and sailors willing to part with their coin for a quick distraction. Besides, Finwik seems to be doing quite well for himself without a brothel to call home. :)

Noticing the look in Finwik's eye and given his reputation, Bjelich has little difficultly surmising what must be going on in the gnome's mind. The bishop pinches the bridge of his nose, it had indeed been another one of Finwik's rough nights and the poor girl who came to see him later was heartbroken that Finwik did not return to her. Had Bjelich managed to talk her out of seeking revenge? He can't remember. Perhaps that's why his head has suddenly begun to hurt. The pain quickly subsides though as, knowing Danna is perfectly capable of handling Finwik, Bjelich decides it would be entertaining to see the gnome try. Bjelich leaves Finwik with his thoughts for now. It is for Danna to decide, I'm simply suggesting we do whatever we can to assist and support her transition.

Safely behind closed doors, Bjelich carefully explains to the group his letter and motive for deciding to inquire about a magical aid. I might not have been lead to this had Danna not given me the impression that she is entirely comfortable with her new body. My intent is to help not only Danna, but also the citizens of our domain adjust this change. Not everyone is as understanding as we are and I fear some may not recognize what has happened. It may appear that the Guardians have taken in a half-orc in place of Danna. Questions will be asked. Bjelich shrugs his shoulders. He is clearly only speculating about what may or may not happen and even if his fears prove unfounded, bringing up such concerns early is important to him. Maintaining Danna's human appearance may be, useful in order to make a smooth transition with the citizens. Given time and the right publicity, Danna may eventually do away with the cloak altogether. Having said his piece Bjelich presses both hands together in front of him. Of course, these are only my thoughts on the matter. And naturally using anything to alter Danna's appearance is entirely up to her. However this may play out, I will respect her wishes and fully intend to stand with her.

Perhaps a little of Aphin's AP is creeping in here. I've learned a lot about half-orc popularity in Golarion preparing for GS and I think Bjelich is right to seek caution in light of possible discrimination. Course he could just be a victim of bad drugs... :)

(Moving on to other topics...)
Having gotten his thoughts out in the open, Bjelich does little else to dissuade Kyras from either supporting Bjelich's thoughts or throwing the cleric out of the nearest window for being a paranoid fool. Yet before the tyrant does toss Erastil's agent into the street, Bjelich switches gears, bringing up still another thought which has begun to plague the priest, In light of our positions as heads of this state and our proven mortality here, I'd like to ask what our future holds. What plans do we have for our tiny realm? What vision do we have for making this land prosper beyond farms and trading away what little we have in resources?

I really must decline Finwik, and by Erastil you should abstain as well! Don't forget, I just found you in a poor state and now you wish to add to it? Tell me dear Finwik, how sober were you when happened up that wyvern? One would hope you would learn from your experiences. Bjelich folds his arms in the 'priest who is trying to chastise' pose but he's never been good at that and it comes off looking awkward. He only tries out of the duty expected of him due to a position he'd never really expected to have at such a young age. I can see you won't be of use to us if I permit you to return to drinking. Come! We need to find Kyras and discuss our futures! Having learned from his superior, Bjelich, with Finwik in tow (willing or not), leaves to find Kyras.

Once they have managed to locate him, Bjelich proudly announces, I have found him! and gestures towards the gnome at his side. Lord Kyras, I think it is time for the guardians to speak of what lays ahead. The cleric looks around for someplace private for the group to retire to and away from open ears; perhaps suggesting Kyras' quarters.

Who's that old lady, lives in a swamp? Does she have crafting for wonderous items or just potions?

With Kyras seeing after the needs of the people once more, and presumably the news of Danna's return, Bjelich's thoughts reflect upon's Danna's transformation and how the poor girl must feel about it all. The bishop's impression was that she was sad and not at all comfortable in this new skin. With her best interests in mind, he takes up a quill, and filling it with ink, drafts a letter to someone who might be able to help - the old lady*. He chooses his words carefully, keeping the letter polite yet doesn't waste time and gets right to the point - which is to request a quote for a cloak. But not just any cloak. One for Danna which would create the illusion of diminishing her half-orc features and enhancing her human side. (Cloak of Human Guise. But perhaps we could get creative with this and replace human with half-elf) Finishing, Bjelich reads reads the letter over once more just to be sure it does not come across as too presumptuous the carefully seals the envelope. Making a mental note to discuss this with both Kyras and Danna at a later time, Bjelich hands the letter off to a courier then sees about looking after Finwik before the gnome drinks himself to death...somehow Bjelich doubts Kai would be willing to cast the same charm twice in one week.
*Please insert her proper name here
Finding Finwik doesn't prove difficult. Greengate has only a few drinking establishments and someone of Finwik's reputation usually sticks to his usual watering holes. Inside, Bjelich seizes Finwik by the arm, politely excuses himself and the rogue for pre-maturely leaving the 'party' then whisks Finwik away to the gnome's room. Along the way, Bjelich quietly informs Finwik of the recent turn of events surrounding Danna's return. The cleric patiently repeats himself several times and warns Finwik to keep the news to himself as it is Lord Kyras' job to inform the people. Bjelich also encourages the gnome to stay sober and regain his strength as he will likely need it for any upcoming celebrations. Understand?

As their exalted leader drags Bjelich off the Bishop says in protest, But what about the people? Shouldn't they know Danna has returned? Unity is power Kyras... the bishop drolls on insisting it is for the good of the kingdom that the Guardians a least make an announcement.

As Kai explains, Bjelich's face shows not only his surprise at Danna's transformation but also his aroused fascination. My apologies sir. My inexperience with druidic ways had lead me to be believe otherwise but all is clear to me now. If time permits, I would very much like to discuss these talents. I feel my own skills could benefit from learning of druidic healing techniques. Bowing respectfully Bjelich adds, We are in your debt sir for returning Danna to us. As long as breath passes into my body, I will endevour to see she remains safe.
His conversation concluded for now, Bjelich now steps forward to greet Danna. Grasping her with both hands about her broad shoulders, the cleric looks warmly into her eyes and sees that the druids eyes have not changed to him. This recognition seals his understanding, It is good to see you again! Turning to the others Bjelich spreads his arms wide and declares, This is cause for celebration! His expression falters for a moment as he checks his purse, Do you suppose 300gp will be enough? I'm afraid I've left some of my funds back at the capital...

While not as vigilant as his lordship, Bjelich does manage to keep his activities relatively close to Greengate's courtyard. When the cleric sees Kyras racing across the courtyard towards two arriving birds, it does not take Bjelich long to conclude Kai had returned, especially once Kai made his transformation. But with whom? The transformation of the second bird into a female half-orc physically stops Bjelich in his tracks. Who is this? Who ever it is, Kyras seems to know her. A sister? His father seems to have made the rounds, not unlike our Finwik's numerous relations. Clasping his hands behind his back pensively, Bjelich continues his approach stopping a polite distance away to awaiting introductions and respectfully breaking the ice in greetings for Kai, I am relieved at your safe return sir. I pray your ceremony afforded some closure to your loss.

Kai didn't exactly explain what he was going to do. As far as Bjelich is concerned, Kai took Danna's body to the grove for a druidic burial - secretive druids! He presumes the half-orc is a replacement known to Kyras.

Kai need only request and it will be looked after :)

Bjelich looks up from his post as Kai and Kyras enter the room. The cleric offers his sincere apologies to Danna's father for the events leading to his summons but Kai looks to be a focused man and Bjelich's words are cut short. Instead, Bjelich stands attentive and ready to assist but also taking in everything Kai does as a kind of learning experience. The healing arts have long been a cleric's domain and any new magic of similar quality is of interest. As preparations get underway, Bjelich suggests the guardians should stay in attendance discretely outside the grove, Not all of these lands are tamed sir, it wouldn't hurt to take precautions.

I'll probably end up losing a hero point for this, but Bjelich is trying to help...
After Kyras' speech, Bjelich mingles with Greengate's citizens. He does what he can to keep the flame of Kyras' inspirational speech alive. Bjelich also uses this time to gently remind the people that the Silverguardians are there for them. He does not use flattery to bolster Kyras' image or that of the Silverguardians but rather, takes a more common approach to portray Kyras in ways the citizens can relate to - a man like any other who devotes his time towards the betterment of others over himself. To support this, Bjelich recalls events in the kingdom's past when not only Kyras' leadership but the sacrifices of the Silverguardians saw the kingdom victorious. Look at all that we have accomplished! The cleric also hints to the unglamorous side of leadership (paperwork, reports, meetings) without which nothing would be built. He emphasizes and reassures the people that all that the group has done, was to benefit not just the kingdom, but all of its inhabitants. The odd time, Bjelich cites some of Erastil's parables choosing themes of strength in unity, gaining strength through adversity and to achieve victory often requires belief not only in yourself but in your neighbors. You'll see, we will overcome this hurtle and propel this kingdom to greater heights!

Early in the morning and upon finishing his first enchantments with Danna, a tired Bjelich approaches Kyras. The whites of his eyes are red from fatigue and grief - it has been a difficult task. Still his work is not done and now he comes to offer his aid in dealing with the people, Recent events do not leave the people feeling confident in our roles. This is worse than before, when that creature roamed unchecked. You should address the people Kyras, halt this swell of panic before it spreads negativity outside these walls. Is there some direction you'd like them to head in? Some banner of hope we can all stand behind? If you tell me, I can assist with their inspiration.

Is there a bard in the house?

Immediately upon their return, Bjelich orders Danna's body to be placed in a safe place, sheltered from the elements. He sends servants to fetch warm water and a clean shroud. He uses the water to respectfully wash the druids' wounds. When this is done, Bjelich lays the fresh linens over her body then rests for a time. Upon waking Bjelich begins his morning prayers, calling up his deity to infuse him with enough divine strength so as to preserve Danna's remains. Confident Erastil has answered his prayer, the cleric heads straight for Danna's side. Turning down the shroud to reveal her face, he places two copper coins over the druid's eyes, one covering each eyelid and carefully adds a pinch of salt on top of the coins. Summoning forth Erastil's power, Bjelich raises his hands above her body and lets Erastil's golden light pass from his hands onto Danna. Some of this light penetrates into her skin to keep her organ's clean of decay while the rest forms a gentle protective shell Danna's body to stave off those affects of nature which would normally consume the dead. Over the course of the week (five days to be exact), both the coins and salt are gradually consumed however the cleric has made preparations, however Bjelich will not let the spell fade before renewing it.
For the remainder of the day and the days to follow, Bjelich stays near. He places fresh coins and new salt at the start of the fifth day, renewing the spell keeping Danna's remains encased in Erastil's divine light. The rest of the time Bjelich spends in quiet prayer, reflecting upon their encounter with the wyvern and whether it will one day reappear.

Casts Gentle Repose every four days until the means necessary to return Danna to us are found.

Bjelich turns to see Finwik's outburst just as the halfling launches the tobacco pouch. Moving his head an inch to the left, the pouch sails harmlessly past the cleric, landing with a tiny thump somewhere in the grass. I hope that wasn't an expensive variety Finwik. The cleric halts himself from saying anything more, Poor man is distraught. To remind him that it is our job to ferret out such creatures from our kingdom is unnecessary. Finwik knows what his duties to the kingdom are, right? Bjelich turns to glance at Kyras, Will our leader address Finwik?

Bjelich politely refuses Finwik's offer of drink reality into a pit. The wyvern may have been chanced off but the party was still not out of danger. A clear head, Bjelich surmises, will increase their chances of...of what? Bjelich's mind returns to the problem facing the group, how to deal with Danna? He knows there is a way to return her to the group, but the spell Bjelich has in mind is very expensive. Not to mention beyond his capabilities to cast, much less comprehend. He'd never even seen the ceremony performed! If there were another alternative, it does not rest within his area of expertise.

Having not role played Danna's parents coming to the kingdom, I'm not sure how well Bjelich would know Danna's father. I'm going to take the side of that Bjelich knows her father, but not well enough to know he is a druid (they're secretive, right) capable of casting reincarnate. It is far more likely that Kyras, having close ties with the family, would know this and so I will leave it up to him to introduce this alternative.

That sounds hopeful and a way better alternative to taking out a loan! I trust it will not be a simple matter of riding up to Danna's parents and making the request.
On a side thought, I wonder who gets to make the roll to decide what race she may, if this works out, return as. A gnome perhaps? Kobold? :)

Bjelich solemnly follows. After a mile or two the cleric speaks up, I shall begin preparations at once to preserve her body once we reach Greengate. I will also send word to Restov for, Bjelich pauses to search for an appropriate word, assistance. Bringing Danna back from the river of souls and Pharasma's judgement is perhaps already too late, but she can be called back. It is however beyond my skills, but not to others. Bjelich stops speaking to gauge Kyras' reaction.

I'm also be out of touch with the world surrounding this AP, are we allied with Restov, or somewhere else? If Bjelich is mistaken, please replace Restov with the correct location. And just to make sure, we don't have a magical item hanging around in the capital that can resurrect, right? Our best option is still looking for a 13th level cleric and about 10,000gp.

I was waiting for a reaction from Kyras :P
Couldn't Bjelich use a hero point for another healing burst? Two channelings at 3d6 each might give her a chance to stabilize.

Leaping from his horse Bjelich rushes to Danna's limp form. Danna! Taking up her head in his arms, the cleric checks for any signs that she may still be alive. Only vacant eyes stare back at him. Not willing to believe that this is the end for her, Bjelich grasps his holy symbol and prays to Erastil for yet more of his divine grace. Golden light surrounds the wooden symbol. Like a stream it fills Bjelich's hand then moves over his limbs and flows over Danna's form. As the radiance covers the druid, Bjelich urges her back to the living, Danna! Hold on Danna! We've got you now. You're going to be alright. Come now girl, open your eyes!

Heal check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

@GM: Can you help me understand, I not sure Bjelich has any hero points to contribute to Danna's and we haven't exactly been great players thus far meaning non have been dealt out for heroic posting/actions. Am I incorrect in thinking we all have at least one due to leveling up to 5th?

Round 9 Init 9

The sudden spray of blood filling the air forces Bjelich to stop in his tracks, Great Erastil! Show mercy! As all colour drains from his face the eagle's frustrated scream gives voice to the Bishop's feelings of failure. Composing himself, the Bjelich raises his holy symbol and evokes the words he hopes will bring Danna back from the brink of the river of souls.

Round 8 Init 9

Correcting itself in flight the eagle beats its wings and succeeds in catching up to the wyvern as it grapples with the druid. Talons poised, it makes another grab from the lizard. But to no avail. Clutching once again at nothing the eagle screams its usual frustrations into the air.
Below Bjelich encourages it onward as he retrieves another of his arrows. This time the eagle swoops but its now familiar cry tells Bjelich the birds following attempt was another miss. At the same time an invisible projectile is loosed from the translucent bow hovering overhead. The handful of dirt kicked up yards away from where wyvern and Danna struggle tells Bjelich this too missed. 0 for five. Calling upon Erastil's bow had seemed like a good spell to keep on hand and in the past it had had some success. But overall, the spell disappoints more often than it's worth. Have I forgotten another Holy Day?! Out of the corner of his eye, Bjelich notes the twinkling outline of the spiritual bow fall elegantly apparent to shower the air with thousands of tiny minute lights. Time's up. What next? With no time to ponder on mistakes, Bjelich draws his own bow string taut. Turning Mokos with his knees he brings the tip of his arrow into line with the wyvern and releases the string. His arrow sails off towards its target.

Round 7 Init 9

Luck it seems, is not on the side of his grace, Bjelich Dalibor of Silvania. He'd cast a barrage of spells meant to both bolster his allies and harry the wyvern, yet Bjelich can only look on in disbelief as the spiritual representation of his god's favored bow launches another stray arrow, followed quickly by his own. Having practiced faithfully these past six months on the ranges of their capital Bjelich can't help but wonder what he is doing wrong.
Guiding Mokos around to track the wyvern's movement, his eyes watch for the summoned eagle. No sooner does he find the bird, than he is once again left feeling (not only robbed by the dice but...) as though a very dark shadow has befallen the group. Trailing far behind the worm, the eagle screams its frustrations as its struggles to catch up. Finally getting within range, it is again outmaneuvered leaving nothing but air for the bird's talons to grasp onto. Thank Erastil for Danna! At least her lightening has had some affect.

Am assuming the wyvern is still in melee with the elementals and the eagle, thus -4. If this is a mistake, adjustments need to be made but I doubt it will make a difference.

Watching the skies, Bjelich sees the wyvern alter its flight path and it dawns on him that he has become the creature's intended target. Caught off guard by the wyvern's actions, the eagle Bjelich had summoned can only scream its frustrations. Still, at least it made an attempt. Reaching out a taloned foot the eagle barrel rolls in flight, missing the wvyern completely.
Standing ready for the attack, Bjelich turns Mokos at the last minute in an effort to spare his mount the lashing of an errand claw. The cleric's eyes widen at the sight of the lizard's tail passing immediately so near his head that he could see the details of its scales. Then, just as fast as the lizard's tail presented itself, it was gone. Horrified and yet somehow honored to be the first of his group attacked by the beast (even if he's the only one still mounted), Bjelich says a silent prayer of thanks to the Lord of the Hunt. If only to steady his heart, which had momentarily moved into throat, the prayer did its job. Feeling a bit calmer, the cleric wishes he could share the same optimism his god has. With no one save Danna succeeding in leaving so much as a mark on their foe, Bjelich wonders what anyone else could do to turn the tide of this conflict.

Round 6 Init 9 - and we're still alive!

Bjelich's words fade just as quickly as they are said and with the last of his words uttered, a portal of light appears in the sky near the worm. Soon the screams a solitary eagle announce the arrival of a little more help. Yet Bjelich's heart drops. He'd been hoping for more. Still, Bjelich takes an optimistic breath and knocks an arrow. Drawing a bead on the wyvern, he looses the projectile but Bjelich's tracking is off by a heartbeat - his arrow flies past the creature's tail. Out of the corner of his eye he notes the spiritual image of his god's favored weapon also misses. Cursing his luck Bjelich rakes his brain for something else. Suggestions?!

Trying to seize upon what little time is left before Kyras' gusts of wind fizzle up and blow away, Bjelich reaches for his symbol yet again. Round 4 Init 9

To Bjelich's relief, Danna does not disappoint. The bright flash of light and ear splitting thunder echoing across the sky gives the cleric a glimmer of hope. About ten more like that should do the trick!
Taking up the holy symbol of Erastil once again Bjelich calls, Erastil mi požičať svoje lúk poraziť tohto nepriateľa! The cleric's divine connection prevails and he summons up a familiar sight. Floating unerringly in the air is the glowing outline of a longbow. The cleric points his finger at the blue lizard barreling through the air and the mystical weapons turns to track the wyvern's movement. An arrow of force soon hurls towards the target.
Bjelich watches with some small delight as the bolt of force streaks towards the wyvern. Drawing his own bow in anticipation of a long battle, he silently says a quick prayer that his every shot will count.

Quickly taking up the holy symbol about his neck, Bjelich calls upon the divine language of Erastil. Focusing on the ridge line, the cleric's words carry across the field stirring grass and other foliage along the way. Atop the ridge a large circle of earth vibrates below the Wyvern kicking up a plume of dust followed soon afterward by the sudden growth of grass, weed and nearby foliage. Hundreds of tiny green arms and branches reach out for the creature, seeking to wrap themselves around its body. Finishing his spell he turns to the druid, Danna, send your stones crashing down upon it! We must not let it take to the sky!
