Hello everyone. I recently acquired Legacy of Dragons, but it has what I assume are typos. I desperately need clarification on the new Fighter archetype- Dragonheir Scion, before my character reaches 3rd level. For in Legacy of Dragons, it says that in place of my 3rd & 5th level bonus feats, I get -Draconic Strike- and -Draconic Presence-, respectively. But to the best of my knowledge, there aren't any bonus feats at those levels. So did they mean my non-bonus feats? Or do I just get the new abilities 1 level sooner/later? The other possible error I found is with the Eldritch Strikes ability. It gives Arcane Strike at 1st level, w/o prerequisites. However, it doesn't say if scales normally or with my Dragonheir class levels. So, any clarification on these issues would be much, much appreciated. If it helps, I found the problem(s) on page 13.
I really should have said this before, but I was a Neutral cleric w/o a deity. Also, as an intelligent undead, I am not soulless. Ultimately, I was basing this on the D&D 4E race, Revenant. Their the Raven Queen (Pharasma)'s personal undead. Well, technically they're souls reincarnated and placed into human-body-vessel things. http://dnd4.wikia.com/wiki/Revenant And thanks for all the input!
So recently (August I think), my neutral and deity free cleric was turned into a Zombie Lord by my GM. So to add substance to my character, I want to use the experience as a reason to start worshipping a neutral deity. Enter Pharasma, hater of undead. However, she IS the Goddess of Rebirth. So, would it really be too much of a stretch to say that my forced transition into undeath could be seen as a potentially useful sinkhole on the road to my 'rebirth' as a living being?

Sorry for the 3 month late response, but family happened, so... Anyway, it is my understanding that as a Pathfinder Adventure Path, "Curse of the Crimson Throne" is not 3.5. This is the only Paizo Publication I am aware of that mentions Celestial Plate. http://paizo.com/products/btpy83yw/discuss?Pathfinder-11-Curse-of-the-Crims on-Throne-Chapter-5-Skeletons-of-Scarwall
So, even though the Celestial Plate is on Paizo's "Pathfinder Reference Document" website, it still counts as 3.5 because it hasn't shown up in any recent physically printed documentation? And, am I correct in my interpretation of "Specific Magic" items? Or that Celestial is just a word in the armor's name?
I know this topic is a year old, but I must put my two cents in. And through my research on the topic, I have concluded many things: 1. "Celestial" is neither a 'Special Ability' nor a 'Special Material.' It is just part of the armor's name. 2. Both "Celestial Armor" & "Celestial Plate" are referenced in Paizo publications, so I don't understand why people keep calling them '3.5' items. 3. Silver is a non-Special Material that can only be applied to weapons by way of alchemical silvering. The process "...can't be applied to nonmetal items, and it doesn't work on rare metals such as adamantine, cold iron, and mithral." It can used on the following: Ammunition- +2gp per item, a Light weapon- +20gp, a One-handed weapon or one head of a double weapon- +90gp, a Two-handed weapon or both heads of a double weapon- +180gp. 4. P. 29 of Pathfinder #11 Curse of the Crimson Throne "Skeletons of Scarwall" reads that Celestial Plate is "...treated as medium armor" & was published August 14, 2008. Ultimate Equipment reads "...It is considered light armor" on p. 125 & is, to my knowledge, the most recent publication to mention either. ...Besides, I thought that everything from the 'Specific Magic' item lists weren't allowed to be customized, only enhanced. Hello all. I Would very much like to apply some of the benefits of a Ghost Template to a NPC/PC, so as to make him a half-corporeal creature. A Ghost Template 'Archetype' if you will. His backstory isn't finished yet, but essentially Ser Tanley (le ghost) was kicked from Red (his horse) during a training exercise, flinging him head first into an errant siege round on its way to a test-fire. The result? A body w/ a helmet shaped bowl of soup for a head. While the death was instantaneous, his ghostly transformation was not. The moment his body goes limp, Tanley suddenly finds himself looking down at some poor fellow w/ his head half under a boulder. Unable to see that the body he is looking at is his, he never realizes he's dead. At some point, after certain events, he becomes a permanently semi-transparent ghost. A trait only noticeable when he's no more than a foot away... So are there any paizo rules on modifying or making custom templates, should I just make a custom race or would this fall under house/third party rules?
Hello all! Please, allow me to apologize in advance for this lengthy & likely overcomplicated question. No one in my group has ever applied a template to a post level 1, including the GM. So when he (the GM) suddenly turned me and my companions into Zombie Lords per the template located in Bestiary 4 {Change all of the creature's racial Hit Dice to d8s, then add 2 racial Hit Dice to this total [creatures without racial HD gain 2 undead HD]. Hit Dice from class levels are unchanged.), much of the conversion process was confusing. Most annoyingly, we can't figure what "Hit Dice from class levels are unchanged" does to our total HIT POINTS from those same Class Levels. Do they remain unchanged? And if so, do we keep the CON bonus from our 'Class Level' Constitution scores & only apply the CHA bonus to our newly acquired Zombie Lord HD? Also, for our new saves, does "Fort +1/3 HD, Ref +1/3 HD, and Will +1/2 HD + 2" refer to our total HD from all sources, or just our Zombie Lord HD? Or put more simply, with only max faced hit dice: If a Level 9 Human Cleric with 117 HP [72 from HD + 36 from Constitution + 9 from Favored Class] and my Saves, unaided, are F10 R5 W11 becomes a Zombie Lord, is his new HP 148 [117 + 16 from ZL-HD + 4 from Charisma + 11 from Toughness] and F11 R6 W14 [old saves + 1/3 ZL-HD Fort +1/3 ZL-HD Ref ZL-HD +1/2 ZL-HD Will+2 rounded down w/ a minimum +1 each] or not? And if not, then what and why/how? Again, sorry for all the reading. We're new to this whole 'playing by the rules' thing. |
