Hi, Paizo.
Could you please cancel my RPG subscription? I find I'm using just the PDFs far more than the print copies and am looking to save a bit of money.

I still want to keep my AP subscription - so just cancel the RPG one.

Bill

Trying an experiment. The Paizo board only seems to support a single gameplay thread at a time (although as chapters advance, I should be able to spawn new threads and move off older ones). But I thought I'd see if I could stick a second thread for supplementary role play in the game's header.

Recently, a couple of new FAQ postings have inspired moderate firestorms on these boards, multiple contentious threads that end up being locked, and a few attempts by R&D to clarify what was meant by the FAQ entry (without those clarifications making it back into the FAQ itself). Whatever the etiquette or lack thereof of some posters on these topics, I think it's clear that some FAQ entries have raised a lot of follow-up questions or left other aspects of the game in ambiguity that could use resolution in a more formal way than a dev making a few clarifications in the threads (that will inevitably be locked and leaving it up to forum users to use the search function to try to find if they're aware of a clarification at all).

My suggestion is to post proposed FAQ entries in the Rules Questions forum so that people can raise follow-up questions and the developers can get feedback on whether or not the FAQ sufficiently answered the question at hand as well as provide missing rationales behind the answers themselves. Then after a week or two (or longer if particularly active), the FAQ entry can be finalized, adding any clarifications that came up in the comment period, and posted.

I don't want to raise the idea that the players are entitled to some kind of oversight over the devs and the FAQ process. What I want this to do is help the process generate more complete answers and keep clarifications from being lost or rendered hard to find for newcomers checking the FAQ lists.

I need to cancel my subscription to the Pathfinder Module line for now. I've got a lot to work through and it's time to give the credit card a little bit of a rest. I'm still keeping open my RPG and AP subscriptions.

Thanks.

My wife found this today on Kickstarter:
Doppelganger game piece

LCD screens for custom miniatures. The guy isn't too far from his initial goal but is in his last 30+ hours. Thought I'd give him a little shout-out for having a kind of cool idea.

Hi, Paizoians (however you spell that).

In the interests of my budget and desire to throw a little more Pathfinder business my FLGS's way, I would like to cancel my Pathfinder Player Companion subscription.

I should still have an active Path, Game, and Module subscriptions. Those are fine. I just need to trim a little.

Thanks.
Bill

I need to adjust my subs a bit. Please cancel my campaign setting subscription.

I am trying to figure out the point of the water walk, communal spell. The base spell, water walk, already affects multiple targets without dividing the duration. I don't see anything that specifically allows the caster to touch targets on multiple rounds to get around the limit of 6 willing recipients per round - which is already less than the minimum caster level for the communal version of the spell.

My best guess is that someone thought water walk was limited to one target?

It seems like I'm flagging multiple posts a day here (and on other boards). In fact, I think I am. Anybody else feel like their patience is wearing thinner than usual with rude or otherwise obnoxious posts?

I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet (searching this forum didn't help much) but how about making Linguistics a class skill for alchemists?

It could be a good way to capture the feel of historical alchemy, obsessing over secret formulae, encoded into obscure language and references.

Hi,
I got my initial notice notice about this order back on 10/23/09. It is still sitting in my side cart. When can I expect it to ship. I normally don't see a 2-week delay once that first notice goes out.

Thanks for checking into this.

Hi,
My order for Pathfinder #14 has reshipments of Pathfinder #11 and module LB1 queued up. Since PF14 has been delayed for a couple of weeks, I was wondering if you could de-couple PF11 and LB1 and just send them along? I've been struggling with the jones for the hardcopies if PF11 and LB1 for a long time, ever since their original shipment was lost in the mail.

Thanks.
Bill

Dang. Since I just got the email that my Pathfinder Beta shipped, I'm going to assume this last request is impossible.

Go figure. I think of a way to get my replacements faster and I've just missed the boat.

Hi,

Order #982207 is reported as being shipped on July 10. I still haven't received it yet. It appears to be lost in the mail or something. I notice that there were a couple of other orders shipped out on that day that were arriving late, but since most of those reported in the Customer Service thread ended up arriving last week, I feel I've given the mail long enough to catch up if the package weren't truly lost.

Could you please send out replacements?

Thank you.
Bill
