Character History
Beryl was found by a young dwarven smith on the road to Bryn Shander surrounded by several dead humans that were wearing the purple robes of the Cult of the Dragon. The circumstances of their deaths were unclear, but the young smith knew that the child would die if he was left out in the cold.
As a child, Beryl was at home in the halls of the Battlehammer clanhold, running and playing with the dwarven beardlings. When he came of age, his beard was never as full as the others and he stood a good foot taller than any of them. Though he was accepted by the entire clan, and his forge-mates more than most, the young man never could shake the yearning for the sky.
Years in the dwarven forges steeled Beryl’s muscles, and he took to dwarven battle training with ease. His comfort with heavy armors, and instinct in maximizing the armor’s protection made him one of the best of the young warriors.
Once an adult, he said his goodbyes to his foster family and moved to Good Mead to ply his trade and live among the humans of Icewind Dale. He was there less than a year before he heard the stories of the Cult of the Dragon activity in the South...
