About Beltin, Scholar of Winlas
Summary: A middle-aged aasimar cleric, belonging to the cult of Winlas, who strives for complete religious knowledge.
Beltin was born and raised in the city of Magnimar, where devotion to some of the Empyreal Lords are a common practice. As a young Aasimar, he was taught the dogma of Iomedae, Desna, and many other good deities. Beltin was fascinated by the differences in each faith, and a lot of the hidden similarities. His thirst for religious knowledge was hard to quench. Beltin, now reaching his middle age, was sent to Cheliax to learn more insider knowledge about the religious ceremonies of Asmodeus. While his main goal seemed quite easy (aside from having a hard time moving around quietly - the first time his heritage had seriously hampered him), he was very distraught by the evils that House Thrune enacted upon the populace. He was certain that, while they claimed to be the most faithful household in all of Cheliax, that their acts of evil and tyranny did not ALL match up with the teachings of Asmodeus. Beltin swore to investigate futher...
