Lv1-4 Apprentice- those still learning their field

Lv5-8 Journeyman- typical contributing members of their craft
Lv9-14 Masters- exceptional individuals who have shown great talent. Typically well known locally and others in their field have most likely heard of them
Lv15+ Legends- these are world shaking folks. The elite and most powerful individuals in any given area that everyone knows. Kings, era defining artists, archmages, etc. History will remember them

Expanding on this in my homebrew word the bigger the town the higher level of craftsman you can normally find, however I don't always keep this as a hard and fast rule...there could be a master craftsman in a small village, like a blacksmith that live in a small mining village to be closer to the source of material or a reclusive wizard that likes the peace and quiet of a smaller town.

Also if you put a high level craftsman in an out of the way town it leave it open to be part of the adventure just travelling to get to them if you need too.

I have a very simple one trick pony....Ranger with a bane weapon of the same type as his highest Favored Enemy bonus.

it is a little boring but can be very effective in specific campaigns...

i did this in a dragon hunting campaign and it was really fun.

EDIT: just realized that this is a 5 year old thread...sorry

Urban Ranger with the Trap Finder Trait could work.

I think a Come and Get Me Barbarian would do nicely for this role as well.

I am also willing to contribute to this

i've always wanted to play a paladin just cant get over the lawful good thing....

Barbarian-High STR and CON. and have fun-do things that cause chaos like instead of charging in and tackling the BBEG instead of charging in with your weapon...just do things caused by your anger and be unexpectedly chaotic. it will make it interesting i promise.

antagonize is good except you can only use once per day on a creature.

the builds i posted are very straight forward and as a beginner would be fairly easy to play. the third one is the most "complex" of the three i posted but its still pretty straight forward-intimidate then smash in their faces. the first 2 are just smashing. Have fun!
