About Barak Gil'een

Barak Gil'een is burly even by Space Marine standards. He has close cropped black hair with black eyes. Barak is missing the left side of his body, as his Arm, Chest, Legs, and Eye were taken from him in a particularly difficult crusade early in his career. His missing limbs and organs have been carefully replaced with finely crafted cybernetics.
At one time Barak was on the fast track through the ranks as he was always an exemplary marine in throughout his life. Like all World Eaters he was undying loyal to Angron and the Emperor of Mankind and would lay his life down in the defense of the Imperium at a moments notice.
Maybe that's why he got thrown into hell, this bloodbath was the reward for his work and honor. The World Eaters had always been a lot that was quick to anger, but Barak's rage knew no bounds once he had defaced his armour. He flooded to the front lines with many of his brethren as Angron and his World Eaters, his traitors, decended to the face of Istvaan III. Barak isn't sure who he slew that day, whether they had been traitor or loyal, it was difficult to make out through the haze of his anger. Anyone who stood before him fell to his bloodied claws and his dutiful bolter.
The early events of the Istvaan Assault have left the former World Eater, now referring to himself once again as a War Hound, distrustful and paranoid of those around him. He knows his duty to the Imperium and will work with those who seem to have it's best interests, but the lines between traitor and loyalist are blurry as once brothers have turned to vehement enemies before Barak's eyes.
