Goatlike eyes and androgynous, standing in at 5'5". Their lithe form hides a wiry strength.
Bara Red-Tail always was a bit of an outcast. They never really did fit into Talios society, having been pushed to the side by her parents in favor of their siblings who were normal humans. They cared for him, but they knew that it would cause a scandal if they got any position of power in the family really.
So, with full knowledge that her family would never let her move up in their ranks, she got a stipend from them about two decades ago to go join the Talios Army. Being a lesser noble, she was automatically given a minor command rank in the north of the Kingdom. Things went smoothly until a large warband of orcs from the north came tearing in.
Rallying the troops, most of which were green recruits, she poked and prodded the orc war horde towards a small valley with her troops. There, they swooped in from both flanks, scattering the orcs as she personally beheaded the orc warchief Guzmik the Cruel. Honored with the rank of captain and admittance into the Knighthood of the Bannered Lions. For a half decade, Bara made a name for himself in the order, helping secure the border forts in the north and leading attacks against known orc encampments.
With honors, about two years ago Bara was elevated to Knight-Captain and Lieutenant of the Royal Guard, charged with protecting the princess.
