"Bara Red-Tail, Knight-Captain of the Bannered Lions and Lieutenant of his Majesty's Royal Guard, sworn protector of Aoni, Princess of Caerwyll and Crown Princess of Talios." Bara fights their training to hold back from bowing. With a curt nod, they look to the others.
"Your plant... Eats meat?" Somewhat intrigued, somewhat confused, wholly curious, Bara looks at Allion with a bit of a mystified look. "Has it always? Or is magic involved?" As the conversation turns to looks, Bara turns to Damian and Kaerzon. "Yes, looks can be deceiving at times. Thankfully such issues are not present in others here, yes?"
"And a fine morning to you, Umraeas. Now, let's us eat up as we wait for Allion..." They wave their hand for innkeep to come over to get their orders. "I'll have some blood sausages and boiled eggs. If you have some warm mead, I'll take a mug of that as well."
Bara accompanies the princess to the inn, their cloak on to hide their armor beneath. "Well met, Kaerzon, Damian. Once we get our stomach's fill, we're heading straight out, understood? And as long as we are near civilization, this mission is of upmost secrecy. Last thing we need is our foes organizing themselves..."
Bara turns to the princess, frowning but nods. "In time, my Princess." Looking to the king, Bara salutes. "Yes, m'lord. Crew, if you'll follow me to the Rising Eagle.
Looking at the contract, Bara wonders why they should sign as well. They were already sworn to the Kings (and by extension, the Princess's) court, But nodding, they take a quill and flick their name across it. Bowing to the king, Bara speaks up. "I swear on my honor, my King, that I shall see no harm come to Princess Aoni. I shall see her returned or die trying." Rising back up, they gives the king a salute.
KK, will be here when you are ready, Dias.
Bara gives a salute. "I have already pledged myself to the service of the king and his lands. Be it goblins, orcs or even dragons, I shall face all with the same fury. And while wanting to save the dragons, good Allion, is worthy, we must let our sensitivities overtake our mission. If we can, we should save them. If not, we must focus ourselves on freeing the lands from these foul crystals."
Agreeing, Bara looks at Aoni. "The sooner we are where prying ears will not hear us, the better, ma'am." Turning to the new adventurers joining on with their mistress's plans, they nod. As the mugs and glasses arrive, Bara raises one up. "To glory!"
Bara nods, looking up at the rest of the tavern. I wonder if anyone else will come?
Bara, who had not been privy too much to Aoni's plan, has her own eyes going big at the payment being offered. "Ma'am, is it... Wise to discuss such terms in a simple tavern?"
Bara looks down at Aoni, nodding. "Don't worry. With a posting like that, we are bound to get someone to come. I just hope they are up to whatever you have in mind..." As Kaerzon and the young woman talk, Bara nods. "I assume as such, Ma'am." Looking up, the guard spots a masked person approaching. Stepping forward, they look them over before speaking up. "Here for the job offer?"

I held off posting the idea submissions until crunch is listed. Just OCD about that... Oh, and when does submissions end?

Oh, and GM, my character here I built with the idea of being the honor guard of the princess. If that isn't good, I'll rebuild them some to accommodate that.
