About BENSLAYER

With the changes to Character creation and Monster/N.P.C. creation, I will not be playing Pathfinder v2.0. However, I am still enthusiastic about Pathfinder v1.0 (and may try the Playtest for the experience), so you have not gotten rid of me yet! :p

When I get sick (which is often) I have a tendency to mis-click, backspace out of mostly written posts and explain myself in roundabout ways. Suffer with me ... *Sigh*

Bugbear with Cat Sith:
  • Cat Sith, Animal Archive, p.28
They’re capable of easily walking balanced on just their hind legs and wearing magic boots. They can carry one object in their front paws when walking bipedally, though they can’t manipulate such objects with the fine control required to use weapons, wands, and similar objects.
  • Can my familiar wield weapons? Can it wear or use armor or magic items?
Familiars in categories marked with an asterisk (*) are able to grasp and carry one object at a time in their paws, claws, or hands, including weapons, rods, wands, and staves, as long as their carrying capacity is sufficient. Calligraphy wyrms, which are marked specifically with an asterisk below, can also carry these items.
    ...
Quadruped [claws] (armor, chest, eyes, head, headband, neck, saddle, shoulders): Almiraj, arctic fox, arctic hare, armadillo, brain mole, calligraphy wyrm*, cat, cat sith, caypup, chuspiki, dire rat, donkey rat, ermine, flying squirrel, fox, hedgehog, jerboa, koala, lemming, margay, meerkat, mole, mongoose, otter, platypus, pseudodragon, pseudosphinx, rabbit, raccoon, rat, red panda, rock tuatara, silvanshee, skunk, sloth, squirrel, weasel

By their entry they should be able to be bipedal too, wear Magic Item Boots and hold Items. The F.A.Q. continuously treats it as quadruped only, which excludes them from wearing Magic Item Boots and carrying simple/mundane Objects. Bizarre and frustrating.

  • EDIT : Noping out of digging into the Playtest, Backgrounds force you into playing Pregens : The Evolved Series. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Sticking around to see what good bits I can focus on for the future, (e.g., possible Crafting simplification).
EDIT 2 : They kept Backgrounds, so that is a no to Pathfinder v2.0.

Aside : I try hard to convey a neutral tone when posting, could people please extend the same courtesy ...?

    A good laugh:
