Born in Ridonport, Ayla takes after her mother, an elven shopkeeper in terms of looks and her father, a sailor from the frozen North, in terms of personality. She loves a good argument and she'll often surprise people with how colorful her language is. Considering she can swear in five languages, she will often run out of words in one and switch to another.
While she wanted to be a sailor at first, she showed an aptitude in magic at a young age and her parents apprenticed her under a scribe and wizard in Ridonport. Ayla grew to love magic, holding it above all other things and as soon as she turned 20 she set out on her own, eventually traveling to Heldren so that she can ply her trade as a wizard.
