![]() There are plenty of low ranked spells that can keep its usefulness in later levels... Most lists have dead ranks by character level 7. Battle master 1st free slot is going to be a waste for most of the wizard career. Same for ars grammatica 2nd lvl (comprehend languages is very situational, and dispel magic needs some heighten to remain useful). Even carefully concieved lists would be detrimental to wizard's versatility, but there are not. ![]()
![]() Please Paizo, don't hurt comrade Torag, father of the proletariat! I believe Gozreh going down would be more interesting narratively. It would definetily make the wild howl, and I always felt Gozreh is just there for no other reason than giving druids a deity if they are not into the coolest green faith. And, are there not like 12 expanded nature deities in ROTE? ![]()
![]() I've read in the Core Preview file that arcane schools like the Stone of the Seers "taught
While Varisia Player's Companion says Stone of the Seers "reveal mysteries and defend life", focusing on abjuration and divination spells. Is there a typo, or the magnimarian school is just being presented as a generic school able to provide curriculuns and such? ![]()

From the APs I've played or DM'ed (AoA, EC, AV, SoT, OoA, BL), alignment's session in players guide can go from totally skippable (like extinction curse and abomination vaults) to a required reading, as in Blood Lords and Strength of Thousands, where you play as agents to very morally driven organizations. As much as I believe "neutral good" and "lawful" helps to set the grounds for a cohesive party in SoT and BL, talking about helping the community, being diplomatic; or tolerating undeath and working with the best interests of the nation in mind were proper guidelines for the player guides. So yes in SOME adventure paths a morality paragraph would be helpful/needed, regardless of rules support (alignment edicts anathemas etc.) ![]()

Anathemas are prohibitions per the core rulebook (many classes lose their powers if they do it) and by the definition of the word. Edicts are obligations given by a higher power, although there are no specific rules for enforcing them as far as I know. No bad faith here, edicts and anathemas literally mean obligations and prohibitions, and Paizo has been treating them as such. ![]()
![]() Hi all,
* Animated Silverware swarm - Hellknight kitchens deserve silverware swarms. Replace the vermin swarm there. * Karumzek - fells like a good fit for a Voz ally, possibly as a replacement for the boring tixitog fellow. * Combusted and Shadern Immolator - both Book of Dead additions, they fit the Isgeri goblins theme. Maybe some are trapped in the catacombs or goblin caves. I can see some serving under Randal's court. * Corrupted relic - turn some treasure from the hellknights into a rageful spirit! Book 2 has plenty of options from new bestiaries and mwangi sourcebook. Anyone has come with similar ideas for improving AoA encounters? |
