Attaman grew up with an adventurous father, but never knew his mother as she died during childbirth. He is a man's man through and through, raised on rocky mountainsides and deep woods. While his father preferred raw wilderness to tame, Attaman has grown accustomed to living near civilization, though on the outskirts. Attaman still prefers the woods, where he can hunt, fish, and live like he was raised, but there is something to be said about the benefits of civilization-- news, myriad merchants and goods, alehouses and taverns, womenfolk...
Attaman's weapon of choice is the axe... the throwing axe in particular. Its versatility and light weight made it a favorite of Attaman since he was a boy. It could be wielded in close combat or can be thrown with the full weight of his arm behind it. It was glorious indeed to fell a deer with a thrown axe from short range after a long hunt!
He now works with a group of lumberjacks to earn his coin. They're good solid men, like him, and he appreciates men who work with their hands. They work, they laugh, they share drinks, but they lack the adventurous spirit that Attaman has truly been searching for in companions. He hopes to find others with an adventurer's heart someday.
