Ashes's Ulfen father is a trained surgeon, whom she studied with in Magnimar. Her mother a Mualijae Elf, was a prominent member of the local Bellflower Society operating in Kintargo. Her childhood was filled with love and acceptance, and not a little skulduggery.
As a child, Ashes reveled in tales told of Ulfen Raiders from far-off, mysterious lands, adventurers who braved the dungeons and devils of Cheliax, and most of all, mummies entombed in Osirion crypts. She re-enacted battles with her playmates, and dreamed of the day she could join her older sisters and brothers as an adventurer.
Following Ravounel's independence, her mother was was dispatched to Absalom to act as an emissary from the new country. She reunited her young and growing family and they sailed to the center of the world. Here Ashes spent her days helping her father in his surgeon's clinic, until she became old enough to study medicine in the university.
But she still dreamed of the adventuring life.
She calls the city of Absalom her home. For now.
