Human
------------------------------
Golden eyes look up at you from behind shoulder length red hair. He looks away when your eyes meet and the man sits up straight in his chair, abandoning the hunched position he had been. Then he brushed the hair from his face before turning back to look at me with a sly grin.
In the seat next to is a pack, buckler, bow, a chain shirt which has been drapped unceremoniously over the pack, and a cloak. He'd stripped all of it off as soon as he'd walked in. On his person, he still had a hip quiver filled with arrows, and a dagger. The rest of his clothing looked like the standard travelers clothes, if a bit ragged. His trowsers had three different colored patches on it and his shirt, though patchless, wasn't looking much better.
The man himself was short, probably only five feet or so, and he wasn't particularly muscled. However, he'd carried himself like a fox when he had walked in, albeit, a tired raggedy fox. Now though, he looked as if he was about to fill me in on a grand joke that we'd just shared.

Kitsune

Then the man transformed into a fox. One moment, a human was sitting in the chair then... then he was a fox. It wore the same outfit as the man, the patched trousers and ragged shirt. His mouth was replaced with a sharp fox's snout that ended in a black nose. And his feet! Just before he had changed he had kicked off his boots. His toes had changed into soft paws, and the rest of his foot angled up before connecting to the rest of his leg.
It was covered in fur too! From his face to his feet he had grown red and white fur. The fox's grin had grown wider as it watched me, showing off sharp teeth.
Then the man was back, and the fox gone. He winked at me, grabbed his stuff, and walked up the stairs to his inn room. Later, I'd been accused of having too much to drink. But, I swear it is true! That man is a fox in disguise.
