You feast on some hot meat pies you find on your way to the PF lodge. Armivor is there with Gelik, waiting on you. You are treated to some fine chilled wine and sit in the main chamber with the two of them.

When he sees Jask, he asks him to step outside.
Sorry, Jask is working for the Sargavan government. They don't exactly treat us well so it would be inappropriate for him to be here.
We wish to team up with you to find and explore the ruins of Saventh-Yhi. We know that others have approached you so here is our offer.
One, 500gp each as a signing bonus for joining up with us. 1000gp each once Saventh-Yhi is found.
Two, each one of you will be supplied with a wayfinder. It stores Ioun stones and allows acts as a light and compass, a nice item ot have in the jungle.
Third, access to the Pathfinders as explorers and seekers of knowledge. We have led many expeditions and the PF's have the skill and expertise to pull this off as well as keep you supplied.
Unlike some of the other people trying to find the city we can also be trusted. We are in it for the knowledge, the monetary gains are secondary. Also we need each other, even after the ruin is found. The Pathfinders are not equipped to fight monsters and delve into particularly dangerous areas so we will want you to lead the exploration of the city even after we arrive. This guarantees that we won't suddenly turn against you after we find the city. Myself and Gelik will lead the PF's while you will head up the finding and then exploration of the city.
Any questions or comments?

I forgot to mention one more thing. Successfully finding and exploring the city will also earn each of you a field commission of Pathfinder and all of the benefits it entails.

Gold can only take you so far Nim. If you plan to spend the next several years aligned with someone or something you should trust them correct?
Did you expect people to tell you..."well we can offer you gold but most of the time we stab our partners in the back", of course not.
You are all obviously smart and resourceful, otherwise you would have died back on the Shiv. Your path forward is pretty clear, it's up to you to decide who you walk down that path with.

Then think on my offer. Just keep the papers and notes you have safe...as I said it won't be long before other groups in the city know of the items in your possession.
We would be willing to pay you for the rubbings and copies of the Azlanti spells you have discovered...come back any time and we can arrange payment in exchange for them.

One thing to keep in mind is that the general was probably trained in a Cheliax style military academy. This city is very lawful oriented and rules based (unless you are rich and can use other rules to circumvent the ones you don't feel like following which is how it operates often in Cheliax).
So most likely it would be very difficult to get him to step out from what the regulations expect him to do.
This is a bit of a warning to the entire group and how you interact with the colonials, this would be pretty common knowledge that the party members would have shared with each other.

I wouldn't be too mad at Gelik, he has told us your entire adventure and included as many details as he could. It is whas he does, tells stories. It didn't help though that when we last saw him he had just gotten himself in trouble...but that is another story.
Our expectation would of course depend on how we help you and what help you want. If you decide not to work with us and try to investigate this on your own that is fine as well.
We are not a threat to you Mihai...but I can't say the same about many others in this city. As I mentioned ths city could be filled with untold riches...many would lie, cheat, or kill you all to get the information.

Aedalis knows that although many in the PF's are genuine, there are plenty within their ranks that are not and some of them would also try to take advantage of you...of course this is just human nature. So far though, Armivor's offer and intent seem sincere.

You leave the government area and head to the PF lodge. You see Gelik as well as several other Pathfinders there. One man sits talking to Gelik as you walk in, the others appear to defer to him.

He stands as you enter.
Welcome brave survivors of the Shiv! I am Armivor Glaur. I am the current senior Pathfinder at the lodge.
I have spoken with Gelik at length about your tale...and more importantly what you have found. Come sit and par-take in some wine.

You introduce yourselves and share a little bit that you want about your group. He nods and seems to take it all in.
First, I would like to thank you for your discovery of the Journal and agreeing to give it back to us. Here is a small token of our appreciation for that. he hands you a small bag. Inside are thirty small rubies…they are worth 1500gp total.

Second, you potentially have information of great importance. Gelik has mentioned that the papers you have talk about a city, a city named Saventh-Yhi.
Saventh-Yhi is one of the Mwangi Expanse’s most famous lost cities. Information about its location would be worth quite a bit of gold, but would also create danger for it’s owner. We know little about the city or it’s location…but it was said to be a metropolis that disappeared around the time of the Star Fall that shattered Azlant. It has never been found since…the knowledge…the lost treasures…it would be a find like no other!
So far you haven’t made much progress in deciphering the notes from what Gelik has mentioned. We can help with that…if you wish. This is your decision of course though.
How can we assist you…sorry to be so direct but the notes you carry could be very important.
