Description:

Arbot is a gruff-looking man with dark eyes and hair. Neither the militia, nor the forest has instilled much in the way of manners. Thankfully he's learned to mostly stay quiet or at least stick to business when he speaks, so he manages to offend as few people as possible. He dresses practically, in a hunter's outfit. He keeps his weapons at hand unless instructed otherwise - too many people would be willing to prey on a lone man, whether in the wilderness or in town.

Background:

Arbot grew up in the wilderness of Varisia, his parents simple goatherders. He helped with the flock as a child, but his interest in that waned as he grew older. Tired of seemingly endlessly wandering with the flock, he decided to find something more stable. Fortunately for him, the militia's doors are always open - they provided him food, shelter, and training.

He developed into a fine scout, with sharp eyes and strong legs. In his years with the militia, he had made good friends with a cleric of Gozreh, whose influence has permeated the rest of Arbot's life. One day, the cleric died, not a heroic death in battle, but a long and painful one in his bed. Despite his respect for the cycle of life, Arbot was stricken by grief, but even more so by fear that this could happen to him one day. He immediately sought out the most outlandish and difficult assignment he could find - he needed to find something out there to feel alive... or perhaps ensure that he would never die a death like that.
