Yup! Glowing tattoos of awesome for the win

Its strange, they aren't slotless really. They're more.... additional slots. Maybe he'd be game for x1.5 vs x2.

I like the skill rank needs to match caster level thing. That makes sense.

I meant expensive for the actual crafting costs, compared to just taking wonderous item for crafting. I understand they can't be stolen, but they can't be sold or traded for something different either.

Flavorful though

This feat is bloody expensive for less slots. Seems like everything it can do, ion stones inside wonderous items can do (sans rings).

Are you able to apply the normal class/skill discounts?

how exactly do skill discounts work when building items? This item requires 1 rank in arcane knowledge! And then what, works if they have it? How do you determine which skill/rank is fair?

Can you ink a belt of +2 strength, and then later improve it to +4?

Bummer. Pearls it is!

That's disappointing. Guess I should just stock up on a few pearls of power for level 4 spells then.

Unless they're a decent way to acquire SLA DDoor?

Say I'm a magus of the appropriate level to both cast Dimension Door, and have Dimensional Dervish.

Dervish reads:
You can take a full-attack action, activating abundant step or casting dimension door as a swift action. If you do, you can teleport up to twice your speed (up to the maximum distance allowed by the spell or ability), dividing this teleportation into increments you use before your first attack, between each attack, and after your last attack. You must teleport at least 5 feet each time you teleport.

Would using a wand constitute "casting" for this feat?

What if I took a crafting skill, and spent a ton of gold to make a command word Ddoor item. Could I use that item to "cast" for the feat?

Because this feat only offers a full-attack action, I would be unable to use spell combat (full round action), correct?

But spellstrike is acceptable?

I'd like to find a way to use this ability without using spell slots, or dipping into other classes.

Awesome, thanks for the help so far. Much appreciated

Other Magus questions!

Blade Tutor's Spirit - Is this spell's to-hit scaling based on the target of the spell's caster level instead of the caster level of the caster? It reads differently than every other bonus to caster level spell I can find.

Chill Touch, and other such charge spells - I can't actually spell combat the round after I use these can I? First round spell combat to apply spell touch, but then I have myself charged for X rounds. I'd have to let go of the spell to use spell combat again, right?

Blade Lash via weaponwand - You'd get your cmd + 10 + weapon bonuses for this roll right?

Inscribe tattoos - DM wanted me to ask, if the weapon requests it of me, can I use my inscribe tattoos feat to do something like inscribe Disguise Weapon on the say...sharkskin grip, thus allowing the blade to appear as something else a couple times a day, as it pleases?

Hmm, reading spell combat I only came away with you need a free hand. Not that said hand needs to be the spell source (as supported by spells not requiring a somatic component still requiring a free hand). Thus, free hand plus weaponthatiswand should qualify?

That being said, even if I'm wrong, I'm totally going to run your idea past him!

I can't believe I completely ignored blade lash's target. I feel like a doofas :(

Sorry, I'll ask there

I'm going to be trying a Magus for the first time, and I had a few questions for an idea.

1) Can you use weaponwand on a black blade? I assume so, but the GM asked me to double check.

2) As I understand it, weaponwand essentially lets you either use the weapon, or use it as the wand inside with a bonus to spell attack rolls. Does this include ranged attacks such as Snowball?

3) The Wand Wielder arcana states you may use a wand in place of a spell for spell combat. If, while melded via weaponwand, you use your weapon as a wand to cast spell such as shocking grasp, can you then spellstrike?

4) Blade lash has a listed range of 'touch', does this mean I can spellstrike it? Thus tripping (if successful) as well as dealing damage? Would it involve two separate rolls, or would it be one roll for both events? (damage and trip)

Is my dream of running around with a weaponwanded blackblade using a wand of blade lash feasable? Would I be able to spell combat a spellstrike blade lash + attack?

Hope that wasn't too confusing.

The same point as the Mystic Theurge, I guess.

Which would be?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but I was curious.

Whats the point of the Metaforge? It allows you dual progression of aegis/soulknife, but you miss out on the exciting parts of both.

I'm hoping someone can give me detailed reasons why simply going 10/10 ( or some similar combination) of Aegis and Soulknife wouldn't be better. Especially if you use the feats 'Student of the Astral Suit' and its Soulknife equal.

Thanks!
