-------------------------------=STATISTICS=-------------------------------
Str: 10, Dex: 16, Con: 10, Int: 18, Wis: 10, Cha: 8

-------------------------=Traits=----------------------
Mediator: You have a way with calming tempers, using cool logic to sooth heated disagreements, and you were always the one to settle arguments among your friends, family, and community. You receive a +1 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks. In addition, you receive a +1 trait bonus to the DC of any charm or compulsion effect that does not provide ongoing control and results in peaceful acts, such as calm emotions, sleep, or a suggestion to lay down arms.
Drug Addict: Someone you know has become addicted to shiver, a drug distilled from the venom of tropical arachnids known as dream spiders. The drug induces sleep filled with vivid dreams, during which the user's body shakes and shivers, giving the substance its street name. You've always thought of shiver as a problem of the lower class, but then someone you know overdosed on the stuff. You've done a bit of investigating and have learned that the villain who got your friend addicted in the first place was a crime lord named Gaedren Lamm. Unfortunately, the guards seem to be focused on the bigger dealers. They don't have time to devote many resources to what they've called "a bit player in a beggar's problem." It would seem that if Gaedren's operation is to be stopped, it falls to you.
Personal Addiction:You were the addict. You blame Gaedren for your brush with death and hate how his drugs are causing similar problems among other youths. Fortunately, your body recovers quickly from toxins, and you gain a +1 trait bonus on Fortitude saving throws.
Warrior of Old: As a child, you put in long hours on combat drills, and though time has made this training a dim memory, you still have a knack for quickly responding to trouble. You gain a +2 trait bonus on initiative checks.

----------------=Drawbacks=-----------------
Secret shame You take a –1 penalty on saving throws against fear effects, and the DC of any Intimidate check to demoralize you is reduced by 1. If you would normally be immune to fear, you do not take these penalties, but instead lose your immunity to fear (regardless of its source).

----------------=Race Traits=-------------------
Dreamspeaker: A few elves have the ability to tap into the power of sleep, dreams, and prescient reverie. Elves with this racial trait add +1 to the saving throw DCs of spells of the divination school and sleep effects they cast. In addition, elves with Charisma scores of 15 or higher may use dream once per day as a spell-like ability (caster level is equal to the elf’s character level). This racial trait replaces elven immunities.
Keen Senses: Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.
Elven Magic: Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance. In addition, elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Spellcraft skill checks made to identify the properties of magic items.
Weapon Familiarity: Elves are proficient with longbows (including composite longbows), longswords, rapiers, and shortbows (including composite shortbows), and treat any weapon with the word “elven” in its name as a martial weapon.
Low-Light Vision: Elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.

---===Special Abilities===---:

-------------------------------=SPECIAL/CLASS ABILITIES=-------------------------------
Spell Deck: Each cartomancer carries a special harrow deck that allows her to communicate with her patron. Its ability to hold spells functions identically to the way a witch’s spells are granted by her familiar. The cartomancer must consult her harrow deck each day to prepare her spells and cannot prepare spells that are not stored in the deck. The spell deck cannot be used for this purpose if any cards are missing.
Slumber: A witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to fall into a deep, magical sleep, as per the spell sleep. The creature receives a Will save to negate the effect. If the save fails, the creature falls asleep for a number of rounds equal to the witch’s level. This does not provoke an attack of opportunity. The save to resist a hex is equal to 10 + 1/2 the witch’s level + the witch’s Intelligence modifier.
This hex can affect a creature of any HD. The creature will not wake due to noise or light, but others can rouse it with a standard action. This hex ends immediately if the creature takes damage. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

---===Background===---:

Kyonin was a beautiful place to grow up. Deep forests, rugged hills and the beautiful structures of the elves scattered throughout. Aleziella Libuyaza had an idyllic childhood, living in harmony with nature. Her father Kasomin was a ranger lieutenant in the kyonin national army while her mother Elvella was a respected wizard and a trusted advisor at court. They taught her what they could of their crafts and about elven culture and history. Aleziella showed decent proficiency in both areas, both at shooting with a bow and at working magic, however she never became as passionate at it as her parents were.

When her decade younger brother Elvur started practicing archery, she got to see what difference true passion made. Despite starting way later, he quickly surpassed her skill with a bow, mastering it in only a couple years. While Aleziella was happy for her brother and how excited their father was at seeing his son follow in his footsteps, she also noticed how Kasomin's attitude towards herself changed. His eyes dulled when looking at her, his interest waned as he stopped caring about what she was doing.

One who did care though, was Kasomin's commander, General Lelos. The experienced and powerful elf showed Aleziella more attention and a appreciation than her father ever had. Aleziella got completely snared in his web, though admittedly she didn't try very hard to escape as the match would simultaneously shock her parents and give her status in society.

The influence from her best friend and devout cleric of Calistria, Selena certainly impacted her decision as well. Selena had always preached that one should give in to lust when it was revealed. A life without maximizing pleasure was a half life where you refused your true self. And the experienced general could certainly offer her pleasure. The young elf was completely overwhelmed with how good it felt.

Aleziella had a wonderful week, sneaking away from her parents, gushing to her friend Selena and hooking up with Lelos. Then one rainy day she had a fateful encounter. An odd wagon was parked on the outskirts of the city. It looked nothing like the graceful elven wagons, instead it was a mishmash of bright bright colors and sharp angles. A lightning struck nearby, making a tree fall over only a few feet away. Scared and soaked to the skin, the young elf was surprised when she heard a voice calling out to her. “Come over here child, it’s safe and warm inside and maybe you’ll get to know what you need.” Despite the odd words Aleziella went over. She did want to get out of the rain.

Inside was a middle aged human woman with a bright red scarf and a blue, green and yellow dress. She was sitting at a table shuffling a stack of cards in front of her. There was a free seat across from her and Aleziella sat down when the woman gestured. “Welcome Aleziella. I’ve thought you might stop by. Are you ready to see what the cards hold?

The young elf was shocked that the woman knew her name, but figured she must have learned it by asking around, obviously the woman knew quite a bit about the people living here. She was intrigued by the offer though and couldn’t refuse. This deal with the cards somehow felt way more interesting than anything her mom or father had taught her, and she had barely even met this woman. She nodded. “Yes, very much. Thank you.

Without further ado the woman started flipping cards onto the table. First up was a card with two men facing off, one black and one white haired. “The twin. You are a crossroads. The choice you make now will decide the path of the rest of your life.” Aleziella stared on fascinated as the woman continued with a card of a woman holding a severed head. “The betrayal, a most sinister card. It’s the neutral evil card of charisma and I think it means that a lover has or will betray you. If you continue on your current path, this is what you will face.” She put it over on one side and then got another card to put on the other side. “The forge, lawful neutral card of strength. Maybe it will be a more difficult path than the betrayal one. But if you prevail, you will gain strength.

The colorful dealer continued to lay out cards, presenting two roads ahead. “Either you stay here, end up pregnant, betrayed by your lover and consequently struggling to get anywhere. Alternatively you leave. Cross the lake encarthan and face the struggles of the road. I’m not saying it’ll be easy. You’ll probably end up even further down on your luck than you will here. But in the end, if you prevail. You’ll have a chance to make a difference.” Shuffling up the cards, the woman presented the deck to Aleziella. “What do you say? I can feel the cards calling to you. If you accept and leave here. I’ll give you these to help you on the way. If you rather want to stay, just leave out the door, and it’ll be as if I never was here.” Aleziella mulled the question over for a second. But despite how Lelos had made her feel only hours before, she knew the truth of the woman’s words. She would eventually be cast aside for another young beautiful elf… She took the cards.

Next thing she knew, she woke up in her bed. Had she dreamt it all? She saw the deck on the nightstand and quickly hid them within her clothes as she got dressed. She ventured out in the city to see if anyone had heard anything about this woman, but no one had seen anything. Had it all been a dream?

Conflicted, Aleziella nevertheless decided that would follow the dream. She told Selena about her plans, but no one else. Unfortunately the young cleric wasn’t of much help. She wanted her friend to stay, but had no way help figure out if what the woman had said was true or even if the woman really had been there.

A rough few years followed for Aleziella. As a traveller on the road, she barely got by. Her rations eventually ran out and she had to beg or steal to get food. Eventually she made her way to Korvosa. In a slummy tavern she was approached by a handsome guy offering to make her dreams seem real. Down on her luck, desperate and frustrated, the elf accepted. What was the worst that could happen?

Turns out the worst that could happen was pretty bad. After she came back from her fever dreams, the guy, a thug named Lannis had taken all her possessions, including her deck. Saying that she had to pay up if she wanted to get her stuff back, that his boss Gaedren Lamm didn’t take kindly to people who didn’t pay.

She quickly caught on that the only way to get money when she had no possessions was to work for it with her body. Luckily Selena had taught her a thing or two about that art. But unluckily for Aleziella, by the time she had made enough money, the cravings for the drug had started. Lannis managed to convince her to go another round instead of getting her stuff back.

The hours, days, weeks, months, maybe even years blurred together. Everything became about getting the next fix. The dreams became constantly more vivid. Sometimes she dreamt of the people she knew back home, sometimes about the clients. And then one time, about the mysterious woman that had sent her on this quest in the first place. The woman told her to breathe. Why was she telling her to breathe? Slowly Aleziella realized she wasn’t breathing. She took a gasping breath, choked and started vomiting. She had nearly died!

The drugs had to stop. Next time, she probably wouldn’t be so lucky as to nearly die. Luckily she was in Lannis’ den. Heading over to his office. She saw her cards, the pendant of calistria she had gotten from Selena and the bow from her father. “I’m not paying any more. I’m done with drugs!” She shouted at him. “Gaedren always gets his dues. You don’t need functioning legs or arms to work on your back.” He brandished a club. Suddenly she felt the cards calling to her. You’ve been long enough in the land of fever dreams. It’s time to send him there.

Aleziella felt her eyes twist as her pupils spun in her head. Mystical force flew out of her eyes and into the thug that fell over. She didn’t stop to see what had happened to him, but instead rushed to get out. Though she couldn’t miss the faint snoring from his prone body. She had put him to sleep! Thankfully it was enough for her to make an escape.

Wrecked by withdrawal, she nonetheless resolved that she had to get back at Gaedren Lamm somehow. She only had to figure out how...

Inspirational image
Eyes: Heterochromia, one blue and one red
Hair: white and black
Skin: fair
Height: 6 feet
Weight: 125 lbs
Aleziella has an unsettling appearance. Half her hair is colored white while the other half is midnight black. Her eyes are also different colors, one blue and one red. It's unclear if it's the drug abuse or the magic that has colored it so. She's still beautiful, tall, slender and youthful, but most people are probably still unsettled by her mismatched features.

At the moment Aleziella is focused on vengeance on Gaedren and his gang. She's also very curious to explore this new magic the cards have shown her. She feels that it resonates much more with her than the stylised magic of her mother.

Aleziella is very ashamed of falling down on drugs for so long. While she wants revenge on Gaedren, she doesn't want anyone to know about her shame. She's not as worried about having worked as a courtesan. After all, it's holy service to her Goddess Calistria.

Influenced by her friend Selena, Aleziella is quite religious. Calistria fits her quite well. The aspect of secret and trickery reflected by her patron and the mysterious magic she has acquired. The aspect of lust reflected by her profession and of course not importantly the aspect of vengeance being her current goal.
