About Yalmar Ivarson
Yalmar Ivarson, Ulfen Human Half-Orc, stands 6'7" tall, Muscled, bald with thick black facial hair falling into a braided beard. Pale Green tinged skin and tusks mark him as a half-orc.
Yalmar was born into a farming family in a prosperous settlement in the Linnorm lands. His fathers line had recessive orcish blood, and his parents held out hope as he grew that his green tinted skin would fade with age, but they raised him with love regardless. As he grew into a teen, and his blood became unmistakable, his father began to teach him everything he knew about stoicism, restraint, and self control, in an effort to help Yalmar control the seething impulsive anger that his father knew too well. It worked, for a time, until it didn't. At 19, the Jarls son, Yalmars peer, struck Yalmars younger sister a blow after she refused his advance... the next thing Yalmar remembers was being pulled of the pricks unconscious body by other villagers, blood coating his hands.
The boy lived, but Yalmar was still in the Jarls prison a month later when a group of Adventurers arrived in town, on the trail of a young white dragon. The Dragon had made a lair in the Jarls mine, and while they prepared to slay it, Yalmars father hatched a plan. Knowing his son had no future in the Jarls domain, He convinced the group, who called themselves Pathfinders, to take his son with them as an apprentice when they departed. Days later, dragon slain, they took Yalmar in lew of a portion of the payment the Jarl owed them, and Yalmar said goodbye to his family from horseback at the edge of town.
The rest is history... a bewildering trip across the continent back to the grand lodge and three years of hard training have made Yalmar what he is today, a newly confirmed member of the Pathfinders Society.
