maybe i misunderstood, i thought they were going to get the kitty for a few hours. If they are, i'm splitting off and doin ma thang. Kitty searching is boring. If the plan is to go on from there, i'll just meet them back where they're at. If they're going straight, why I'm going with and skipping my post.
Akari leaves with the rest of the party, dressed in baggy commoners clothing. "I'll meet you back at the place, I'm going to take a look around" Once out of sight, she will transform into a tall man with bright-radiant skin, blonde hair, and celestial-blue eyes. Akaron steps into the city and spends the the next few hours asking around about Kore's gang, asking questions like: "Ever heard of Kore"
Basically asking leading questions looking for clues as to where we might start finding Kore and his gang, obviously looking like an Aasimar all the while. Bluff (Play the part): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Akari naturally follows her nose. While she thinks ahead, she's not much for making specific plans, since she feels it would end up holding her back. She would propose going out, finding a band, taking em out, interrogating to find their base, and going straight for it. She's really good at gathering information :D
Good idea Here's my idea: Akari would like to take out Kore's gang to safen up the streets and get some respect from the people, that way we can walk around the streets with a bit less stress while working on our next goals. My preferred plan of action would be move to take out the tax collecters once we get rid of the immediate threat.
Akari goes straight to the board where the map is and begins writing a list: a. What keeps her enemies divided until now?
Vision for the future?... She turns to the party "I say we whittle down Kore's men, one at a time. We'll gain support of the people, and hurt the income of the inner circle of the city. I can't wait to gut one of those fools like a trout with my new edge." Akari will un-sheath her rapier and perform a couple of steps and strikes at the wall.
Akari notices the wall and is a bit taken by what she see's. "I shouldn't be surprised, this place is full of fanatics." Akari drops down to Bob's height and asks: "Bob, do you know if this 'Kore' and is gang are working together with those collectors?" Akari sees the frustration Blasts eyes. "I'm sorry you find yourself in this situation Blast, but i'm confident that with a bit of planning and organization, we will be able to do a lot more than just get revenge for your type. I'm not... normal either." Akari circles up with the rest of the party "Listen gang, we need to get organized. We've got a long of potential avenues we can take right now, so we can't let every little piece of bait lure us away from our directive... even though we don't quite have a clear one yet. I say we finish up shopping, head back to the place, and decide our first plan of attack. I'm going to try and find out a little bit more about Kore and his gang." Akari will wander off and finish her shopping. In addition to her adventuring gear, she picks up a few pairs of her favorite outfit: leather pants and a white blouse, extra long, just how she likes it. If nobody objects to her plan, she will also spend some time asking around about "Kore", trying to find out if people generally love and appreciate what he and his boys do, or if people fear and dislike him. Diplomacy (Gather Information)DC 10 (Basic), 20 (Obscure): 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 11 + 1 = 16
Akari will begin to converse with him. Mostly small talk about the shop and the city. She'll also show some interest in his magic, perhaps ask him if he himself crafts the things in his store, and if he is also a wizard/sorc/caster of some sort. She will then try to use diplomacy to become friends, making haggling a bit easier. She will then then haggle to drop the price of boots of elvenkind (if he has them) Diplomacy (Improve Relationship): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 +1=27 (if he finds Akari attractive)
Akari steps out into the rain, and takes and long, deep sniff. "Ahhh, the smell of rain mixed with freedom has never been better... Now if only I had some cuter clothes." Akari keeps her eyes open and takes note of the locations of the tailor and leathersmith for some new clothing. Noticing the obvious collectors, Akari will without a word split off for a minute or two and begins asking questions to the people in the streets. First, since Akari spends most of her time in Westcrown, does she have any basic knowledge about these collecters? If not, she'll attempt a knowledge local check to see what she knows about them. After that, she will speak to the locals to find out everything she can about these men. Knowledge(Local): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
I vote we leave via the sewer. I suppose the matron already assumes that we've all left somehow. Given that Bob's friend didn't even recognize the symbol, I don't think that anybody here is used to seeing us. I don't think we should ever visit the White Lily unless we intent to speak with someone, or indulge in her pleasures, and even then we should go through the front door.
Is there any kind of wisdom check to make any sense of what I can see on the cork board? Like maybe a sense motive check to get any kind of purpose, or a wisdom check to find a pattern? As Akari continues to look the cork board up and down, her eye-lids become lead and her knees begin to buckle. "I'm exhausted. Should be plenty of time tomorrow. You've got this girl." Akari walks slowly through the kitchen and into the hallway leading to the bedrooms. With her hand sliding across the wall, she walks down the way, peering into each room as she goes. At the end of the hall, something catches her eye: A beautifully adorned rapier hanging on the back wall, hanging above the bed. Next to it, a targe made of a rich, dark wood with a dagger slotted in the top. Excited to test out the weapon, Akari makes her way to the bed, but falls asleep almost instantly as soon as she feels the soft blankets and feather pillow. The next morning, Akari wakes to the smell of fried pig grease and freshly baked bread. "They better have saved some for me!" In almost one instant, the tangled blanket goes flying into the wall as Akari jumps from the mattress, to the tip of the carved bed frame, to the door, in one fluid motion. She sprints to the end of the hallway and slides into the kitchen to find a table covered in food, and nobody there preparing it. "Helloooooo? Who prepared all this food?!" Without giving it a second thought, she sits down and begins devouring food as if she would never see civilization again.
Akari chuckels and shakes her head. "Bob, you're rich now, beyond your wildest dreams. What will you do with your new found fortune?" Akari is having a hard time hiding her laugh After the conversation dies down a bit, Akari will essentially spend as long as she can searching the rest of their new base of operations. She is looking specifically for a journal or log of the adventures, accomplishments, and goals/plans of her predecessors in "The Eight".
Aromar Widesth wrote: I'm updated and ready to go, will probably buy Bracers of Defense +1 when we fo shopping. Haven't added equipment etc but will flesh out the standard stuff soon. You mind me asking what the bracers are for? If you've already got MWK studded leather, I'm having a hard time seeing the benefit. Perhaps a ring of protection or a amulet of natural armor would be beneficial.
When Taurven starts talking business, Akari will stop looking around and focus in real hard on what he and Mellany have to say. "You're right Mellany, we'll have to exit through the front this time, and re-enter from the back." "As for taking out a city, we only need to consider what pillars this place is standing on, and go at them with a hammer... quietly. Once we take out a few, a simple push and the whole thing comes crashing down. The only thing to worry about is what comes next after anarchy, and the answer is generally worse than the problem in the first place. Perhaps we have a few questions to consider:" 1. What were the specific goals of our predecessors? Did they leave a journal? We should look for one. 2. What are the pillars of Cheliax?
3. Once the city falls, what is our vision for the future? What kind of nation would we like for Cheliax to become? "Taurven, I know that you and others of us are worried about the citizens, but how innocent are the citizens of Cheliax? Are they ready to embrace the idea of this place burning down around them? Depending on that answer, they will become our allies, or our enemies. Perhaps we should consider what it is the people are lacking, and really use that as leverage to gain their support." After Akari's long winded speech, a wave of self-consciousness hits her and she begins to blush. "What? I've been considering this for longer than y'all might think."
Akari will immediately bathe herself as she watches her clothes magically being washed and pressed. Once done, you'll find her dancing and spinning around the new base of operations, giggling and squeaking from time to time, as she explores the rooms and furnishing. "Perhaps we should name this place, maybe something spooky like 'Lair of the 8' or something more secretive like 'The place'... what do you guys thin?"
As Bob leads the party down the cooridor, Akari pays very close attention to his every motion, word, and expression. Sense motive - Bob. Hunch (DC 20): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
If Akari senses that nothing is wrong, she will follow down the hole with the others, leaving Aromar to his... business.
"And I am Akari. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Our friend Bob mentioned to us earlier that you may have something interesting to show us." Akari will lift slightly her right arm and flash the blue symbol at Shelia at such an angle that only she can see it. If necessary Sleight of hand Vs Contested perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
"Dear Matron Magdal" Akari gives a long, drawn our curtsy. Akari's face is plastered with the fakest smile to date. "Please excuse my companions and I, it has been a very trying 24 hours. " Akari's accent is hardly recognizable at this point. "Your establishment is quite beautiful. Under... better circumstances, I would have loved to explore what wonders the While Lilly has to offer." Another big smile
"We shouldn't be in the business of taking out citizens really, they're the people we're supposed to be out helping out right... though there wasn't much more we could have done. Some of the prejudice here is just unreal." Whisper to Blast:
"Blast, I'm glad you're doing alright. Looks like the crowd is taken care of at this point. Let's try not to call any more attention to ourselves until we can fit in a bit better" Akari will do a full inspection of the key, to see what she can find out out about it: Inspect (perception): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
She will then, as discreetly as possible, inquire as to who these men were, and what street business they may have been involved in. Gather information (diplomacy) DC 10 basic, DC 20 secrets: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19+1 vs men
Arkwright wrote: Akari, is search actually a skill? Or did you just roll perception? I understand the confusion here. When I roll skills, I like to specify exactly what I'm doing. In this case, yes, I just rolled perception. If it were acrobatics, maybe I would say "Walk carefully" or stealth would be "move silently". Rest assured, I am using the pathfinder skillset :)
"אתם מתחילים ביזה. אני אראה מה אני יכול לעשות כדי להתמודד עם הקהל." Celestial:
"You guys start looting. I'll see what I can do to handle the crowd." "Folks! Nothing to see here, just doing our best to clean up the streets. A tail? I don't know what you're talking about, but we've got the situation under control so no need to worry." Search: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
As of right now, all Akari keeps day dreaming about taking a nice warm bath, and relaxing her mind, though it did not seem likely this would be happening any time soon. Still shaken up from the events of the last hour, Akari follows along with the rest of the party to the White Lilly, extremely suspicious of everyone who's eye she catches in the streets. She especially keeps an extra eye open for anyone who may be following the party. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
"We are the eight!" Akari yells with a fiery passion. Taking on new identities was never a problem for her, but this was different, it meant so much more. As the ritual goes on, Akari looks up at the others, confused as to the source of these additional chantings. "I must lack creativity" "We are the eight! A shot of pain runs through her chest as she purges the thought of the imminent death of the sage. She closes her eyes and embraces the new power now coursing through her veins. |
