Over all this Discussion has been an awesome and educating Experiance...:) Thank You!

Back to the oddly sorted CR critters, though I think that some, not all might have had a CR rating that was plopped on without much play testing...
that said useing a monster in a way that the players do not expect is the best way to effect a boost how much resourses might have to be used up for the encounter...
the most annoying monsters are those that just refuse to be faced...like a bunch of prankster pixies...who says the pixies have to stay still when glitterdust or dispell magic is used the could hide around the courner or trapdoor and still cause havac with throwing thier voices around... :)

that said I have played a game where we were told to create two characters cause the chance of one dieing was going to be high...that was a mostly a crazy game though with crit hit chart and crit hit fumble chart being used be every one and no fudging of rolls was allowed....nothing so funny as the enamy crit hitting themselves...

Getting back on target: monsters that do ability damage at lower lvl are the worst...also creaturse that are slyly slipped in that attack certain PC weak spots over others are anoying

yes the savage species had just been printed when I had last played with minotaurs...and I do know that PF favored class works diffrently was going to work on that... :)

Thank you for the feed back I was thinkingh about those feats my self

and did these changes about same time you commented

Minotaur Paragon
Prerequisite: BAB +6, Iron will
Effect: Str+2, Dex-2, Con+1, Int-1, Cha-2 Survival+2, Perception+2, Sailor+1 Proficiency with Minotaur Double-Crossbow (1d8/1d8)

Minotaur Mighty Elder
Prerequisite: Minotaur paragon, BAB +10, Great Fortitude, Iron Will
Effect : Size increase to Large (w/all stat change), weapon focus with Minotaur Double-Crossbow(1d8/1d8) Age increase by one age group at least… middle age(str-1,dex-1,con-1,Int+1,wis+1,cha+1) or old(str-3,dex-3,con-3,int+2,wis+2,cha+2)

I understand that these would feel contrived. i was trying to build a Minotuar and have a large size available as well. at the same time i did not want a full minotaur at lvl 1. I did not think that large size should be avalable untill later as well.

thanks again CAP

There are Classes that might be able to control more HD of undead like the Mystic Theurge or the Juju Oracle but I was wanting to know about a more "undead creator" NecroMancer, not really worried about long term control when the necro will try hard to not be in combat when the undead servents are able to. Just wanted undead that would resist a the holyness of a cleric or paladin char...

forgot to add an additional prereq for feat: Might Elder Prereq: Greater Fort & Iron Will

I have enjoyed the Bull people ever since I read A DragonLance tale which had a minotaur that had magic battle axe that returned to his hand when thrown and could reflect the truth(cut through illusions). At one time I created a character to go with a planes-walking group. It was interesting, however the way that the first 8 levels were just Minotaur class really held me back and made it just about unplayable. I believe that I have stumbled across the fix to that. In my mind Minotaurs can be big, hulking and scary or smaller and either sneaky or mystical. So I believe the beginning stat would be Str+2,Dex-2,Con+1,Int-1,Cha-2 Skill: Survival+2,Perception+2,Profesion(sailor)+1 hoof(1d4), horn(gore)(1d6)weapons Proficiency: Great-Axe, Great-Club, Trident, net
These natural attacks might seem strong except that if you remove proficiency in them then they will miss allot
The Favored Classes would be Fighter, Barbarian, Rogue, Shaman, Oracle, Witch (scared version), and Skald. A sample of each would end up with at least two low stats:
Fighter: str17, dex11, con15, int11, wis8, cha8
Rogue : str16, dex13, con13, int12, wis8, cha8
Shaman: str16, dex10, con14, int9, wis15, cha6
Witch (con): str16, dex8, con16, int11, wis8, cha11
Skald : str16, dex8, con13, int12, wis8, cha13
These char are each one playable if a little two dimensional...
As well I would create two Feats for Minotaur char to augment the race
Feat: Minotaur Paragon, Prereq BAB +6, Str+2, Dex-2, Con+1, Int-1, Cha-2 Survival+2, Perception+2, Sailor+1
Feat: minotaur Mighty Elder, Prereq Minotaur paragon, BAB +10 Size increase to Large (w/all stat change), Proficiency with Minotaur Double-Crossbow(1d8/1d8)

Please, questions, comments?

15 years ago I played a wiz(necro)/(cleric of rebirth) that went into the True Necro class.
However now that i am playing again after a break of more than a decade and Pathfinder at that...I want to create a NPC that creates stronger undead...zombies and skels that are stronger than normal.
what would the best way to do this?
I would like to stick within the modern d20 text. there is so much out there that i would like to narrow it down to just a couple-three text.
