Hails from Kuldahar, a remnant from the region's trouble with the Baatezu Belhifet and his search for the arifact Crenshinibon. Tieflings of all races are not uncommon in the surrounds of Kuldahar, as Behlifet impregnated a number of his followers as a contingency plan in case of his death.
When Mother Egenia, a Priestess of Ilmater, and Archdruid Iselore led a raid upon the abandoned Dwarven stronghold of Dorn's Deep to defeat the Devil Prince Belhifet, they were abhorred to discover the condition of his captives. After a mighty battle wherein the Baatezu and his rallied army were defeated by the druids and their priestly allies, the Archdruid was forced to make a decision which would haunt him for the rest of his days. The prisoners, a mixture of all the common races and some not so much, were broken mentally and physically. Two of the females were found to be with child , and Iselore could only assume they carried the seed of his infernal enemy. Believing that kindness could overcome the foul nature of these children, he took it upon himself to take the women in, accepting them into the community of Kuldahar and giving them a chance to belong to a real family.
The females were both elven; a moon elf woman by the name of Meriele, and a drow called Daeedria. They bore healthy children, though both parents died giving birth as their infernal children clawed their way from the womb. Iselore named the children, calling the moon-elven fiendborn Airleth and the half-drow twins Isair and Madae. They were raised by the Archdruid and the remaining members of Ilmater's clergy, in the hopes that they could be nurtured into rejecting the curse of their heritage.
