Abomination'. A word Aily knew well. Her people hated her, her family pitied her, and even Aily herself could barely stomach what she was. An Elven Dhampir. Only her grandmother showed her kindness, placing the blame for her birth on her daughter instead.
Eventually, that kindness got her killed by her own people, but let Aily get away. Alone, but unwilling to give in, Aily sought out her father, Lord Malavarius Cort. Lord Cort found his 'daughters' existence to be amusing and gave her a place as a servant. Which was better than starving. There was no love lost, between her and anyone at court. A slow-burning hatred grew for Lord Cort for being the reason for her birth.
That hate and a particular THING (currently undefined) lead her to await the rebirth of an insightful little sprite that her lord had mistaken for dead. With supplies in hand, she pledged her loyalty to the newly born vampire, seeing that rage in her eyes as hope to burn the entire world down.
