"Alright then let's get going. Is there any way to find out exactly where the trouble seems to be? We can take the road and head in the direction of the nearest farm and see if we find anything of interest. We'll need to be careful though, scared villagers could very well mistake us for the monsters." Adrasteia smirks, as if this amuses her greatly. She stands up, stretches, and pulls a cloak out of her pack to fling it over her shoulders and down across her hindquarters.
"I would hardly call it genocide. I am also curious to see how well we work together. I am ready." Adrasteia glances over to Xukari and examines him curiously. "You said the kobolds are your former clan, will you be able to stand against them and their new allies?"
Adrasteia's hackles rise. "Lamashtu you say? Hmm... if your former clansmen have aligned themselves with these monsters it may cause a bit more trouble when we attempt to enter the Delve. How well do the kobolds know the area? Would is be wise to stamp them out prior to beginning our quest? I'm sure the townspeople would be grateful, and maybe even generous if we were to assist in their destruction."
Once the door closes Adrasteia looks concerned. "Beasts? Host? Poisoning who? What's happening in this town, is there some kind of danger? Will this affect our plans in any way?".
Adrasteia nods in agreement with Variel's speech, then looks back and forth at Litonya and the Kobold during their exchange and frowns slightly. "We are all going to be counting on eachother for safety and survival in the Delve, we should not begin our mission with distrust and suspicion. People's natures tend to make themselves clear once they are in mortal danger, and seeing as we are all of us, except Variel, outsiders... I'm sure you've all seen firsthand how approaching things whilst being worried that those you are counting on may turn on you tends to go." she absentmindedly scratches at an old scar on her front right leg, then shakes her head. "We are unique, something which likely has not been seen in the Delve before. The creatures in there will not be expecting a group such as ours, and having not one but two members of our party who appear to understand the inner workings of this place, I am optimistic that we will succeed, or at least not die." She shrugs, and takes a large bite of a haunch of meat.
Adrasteia glances behind her, then looks down at the little creature and smiles before proceeding to the dining room. After grabbing a chair from the table and moving it aside, Adrasteia leans back on her haunches, grabs a sizeable plate of meats, and waits until everyone has sat at the table to begin eating. "This is a very nice spread" she says to Litonya. "I am used to fairly plain fare myself, um... who are the hoity toity people you're referring to?" She tries to make herself as nonthreatening as possible, as the little smelly lizard creature seemed shocked to see her. "You said there would be one more joining us Variel, so there will be five of us total? If you were going for a varied and unusual group, I'd say you were quite successful" she laughs. "I look forward to discovering what we are all capable of".
Adrasteia smiles with when she sees Variel. "Thank you very mu-" begins Adrasteia, the whipping her head around to see the very enthusiastic woman addressing her. She's never seen someone like her before, and clearly this woman has never seen a lamia. "Oh hello, I'm Adra-, I'm a la-, yes I-, not ve-, oh I se-, I'm tryin-, no that's not neces-....." She turns to look at Variel, and mouths "wow". She lets out a chuckle, and moves inside. "This is definitely going to be interesting at least. Thank you very much for the invitation, it smells wonderful." I wonder who else is going to show up.
At dawn, on the day all were to meet at Variel Lothloren's home, Adrasteia quickly hopped to her feet and cleaned up her small campsite on the edge of the forest. "Okay... the letter says evening, it's rude to show up earlier" she groans then stretches, digging her claws into the soft ground and dons her armor. She is small for a Lamia, with deep golden eyes, black hair, and a thin but well muscled physique. Her lower half is that of a powerfully built lioness, a rich tawny color with wicked looking black claws. Her scale mail is well cared for and bears the symbol of the Daggermark army , she carries multiple weapons strapped across her back. She waits until twilight falls. She heads in the direction of the elf's home, eyes restlessly searching for anyone out of the ordinary, but too distracted to really pay attention. She is anxious about meeting new people, she has always been interested in others, but others generally just seem weary and fearful of her. "Hopefully they'll actually talk to me instead of automatically trying to kill me, at least Variel's amiable" she muses, and lets out a heavy sigh. Once she reaches Variel's home she looks around to ensure there's not too many people about, then quickly walks up to the front door and briskly knocks before peeking her head in. "Hello?

Adrasteia crumples the note and closes her eyes. After taking a deep breath she looks beyond the dark forest toward the keep. "It's starting" she says softly to herself, she flops onto her side and thinks about the best way to approach Variel's home. "I'll just go at dawn, the townspeople seem uncomfortable when I'm around"
So, it sounds like more or less that I have met most if not all of you at one point or another. I guess all I really need to know is wither or not all of you have expressed interest at one time or another of taking a dive into the delve. I would have approached you specifically about entering the Delve. That's pretty much the only reason I've been looking for you :)
Hmmm... I think me running into Bobby in town makes sense, as I'm actively looking to get in there and may have been directed to him or heard about him as a guide by someone in town. I could have met Yoshi on the way maybe? I'll talk to him about it when he wakes up. I don't know about Paul and Mon' s backstory, but maybe we met up in town and find eachother as we gather information?
That sucks :( seriously, get some extras from zenni, I like having a bunch of glasses lying around in case I break one. I'm gonna try to move my sheet onto hero labs tonight after my monster is asleep and I'll update my profile again.
You should go to Lenscrafters, get your glasses in an hour and feel better :( It's more expensive but at least you won't be in pain anymore?

Mike is this alright for her background? Background: Adrasteia was separated from her Lamia community as a small child when a group of adventurers raided the ruined temple they resided at. The adventurers, taking pity on her, brought her with them to the city of Absalom. She was left at the Irorium in the care of Ganfen Master of Blades, who saw great potential for a fighter with plenty of ferocity. Adrasteia learned quickly, but became bored and frustrated with her confinement and the daily grind and loneliness of fighting for nothing. Knowing she will never be accepted among another Lamia community, and not wanting to rejoin her race regardless, she decided to leave the confines of the coliseum in search of her own adventure. She heard of an amazing dungeon, guarded by a terrifying creature who no one had been able to defeat. Enticed by the idea of new surroundings, and the possibility of making some real friends, she made her way to Chordille Keep. |
