Hi folks,

My 10 year old boys just played the full PFS yesterday with their 1st level characters and described the game as "Epic." Apparently they need to play again this weekend. Does anyone know of any open PFS games for Level 1 characters going on this weekend in NYC please? I'll play too.

Thanks!

Here are a few suggestions for Paizo relating to the "My Downloads" feature.

I will note that I have well over 200 items in my downloads folder, the vast majority of which are Paizo-produced and Pathfinder related.

1. Please have the files inside the ZIP files have reasonable names. It's one thing to get a download with file name "PathfinderRoleplayingGameCoreRulebookOGLPDF-SingleFile.zip" but entirely another to uncompress it into the incomprehensible "PZO1110E.pdf". I had to write a special script to find all the files in each ZIP and uncompress them one at a time, prepending the name of the ZIP, to have any idea what most of the PDF files were after compression.

2. How about having a synchronize service? I'd love to have something like O'Reilly has with their eBooks and DropBox. Just automatically put my (uncompressed, reasonably-filenamed and of course properly watermarked) PDF files in my DropBox and update them whenever I buy new PDFs or you release new versions. You can do this with directories and subdirectories so I'd have a structure like the ones listed below (which is what I actually use to store all my PDFs, largely named after the headings in the "My Downloads" section).

3. It would be great if I could download all my ZIP files into one directory, then simply uncompress them all, and the files will come out neatly organized into a hierarchical structure. So, for example, maybe that aforementioned "CoreRulebook" ZIP file would actually contain one file:

Pathfinder Rulebooks/Core Rulebook v5 PZO1110E.pdf

4. It would be even greater if I didn't have to wait 10 seconds for personalizing and then have to click again. One-click, even if it goes to a page that sits there while personalizing happens then starts the download, would be ideal. It took ages (several hours) for me to re-download all my ZIP files (well, the single-file versions anyway) this past week. The language the application is written in also really doesn't like it if you open up multiple windows (e.g., open download link in new tab/window) after a while, and you have to reload the download list page.

5. It would be nice if I had the ability to hide versions that I don't want or care about, perhaps as a filter option. I don't ever download the "single file per chapter" versions, for example, yet they clutter up my downloads list. Maybe better would be to show the file and then have 4 download links for it (SF, SF-L, MF, MF-L) as necessary - so each file will still just take up one line.

Anyway, these are just a few ideas I had that would improve the usability of the downloads section. I welcome thoughts.

Thanks!

IMO Paizo should release Pathfinder Basic. The Beginner Box extrapolated through to 20th level, more or less. Essentially Red box Basic + Expert + Master (IIRC?) but in one hardcover.

I like this idea. I'm running Beginner Box with my kids, but the Core Rule book at 500 pages + all the other things is just too much.

I'd love to see a "Basic" without much more than 5-6 classes and without all the complexity of a zillion feats, traits, skills, etc., but which also goes up to 20th level so the characters can do many adventures.

One which is still compatible with (although more limited than) Core.

While we're at it, my daughter would like a race of Ponies. :)
