I've really enjoyed playing the first five SoFF adventures.

When can we expect the full set of Adventure 6 scenarios to be published?

Another feature that would be interesting is if the story was printed on a stack of story cards and as you found henchmen and villains, you would draw and read the next story card. That would allow the story to evolve during game-play, rather than just reading text at the start and end of a scenario.

Someone else mentioned foiling some cards: please, no. Foiled cards don't shuffle well, wear differently, and, most importantly, can't be read except for the person holding it.

I really don't see how this could be said. The game is a constant back and forth between characters/players to determine who's going to do what and help each other. I've seen very few co-op games more interactive than PACG.

I have a somewhat different perspective on foiling, since everyone I play with (exclusively organized play) has their cards sleeved. Plus, i've been a big advocate in favor of exclusive cards for OP-only distribution, and foil loot cards as permanent rewards for OP attendance would certainly fit the bill.

As for making the game more co-op, i'd be quite happy to see more cards be discarded to assist others on their turns. The balancing factor would be the narrowing of my own options on my turn.

The whole structure of the ACG, which in general rewards splitting the party, has always seemed at odds with the "never-split-the-party" ethos of role-playing games. I imagine it is too late now to have that particular "bug" of the game addressed, since it does not appear on the list of core complaints.

Is it bad that I really like the card type symbols so much that I want them in the physical game?
Not as much as Chad wants them.

Let me add my voice to those supporting the Obsidian digital card design/layout for Mummy's Mask...

I think it's a huge mistake not giving PACG organizers credit for their games. First they have to organize the game time and date. They have to arrange for promoting the game time. Second, they have to prep the box. Third, they are seen as the experts with regard to the rules and are expected to know the errata and other announcements on the paizo site. Fourth, they need to report the sessions and do the post session maintenance. Fifth, they are expected to teach newcomers, thus missing out on the sessions of the regulars group. And for many of us, we have to buy the boxed set and the expansions. Giving table credit to PACG organizers costs paizo nothing, but is a welcome nod that we are giving up our time to promote the game, something I would think paizo would appreciate enough to throw PACG organizers a table credit bone. If the rpg gms feel that PACG table credit is easier to acquire, they can certainly run some games themselves if table credit is that important to them. Frankly, having bought with my own money two SnS boxes, two character add on packs, plus all the adventure add on decks for both boxes, plus the session mats, player mats and pawns, so that I can accommodate 10 PACG players, I'm disappointed that I don't even earn table credit for the games. Paizo should rethink that decision.

On The Horizon:

This is the inaugural session of the St. Albert Mission Pathfinder Adventure Card Game ("ACG") Organized Play program. Get in on the ground floor!

Participants will partake in the introductory session of Skull & Shackles ACG Season 0, as their characters cooperate to jointly face the villains and monsters of the Pathfinder pirate-infested seas. And after all, who doesn't like battling were-sharks while brandishing cutlasses and pistols?

Game sessions are no more than 2 hours long.

A demo game for first-time ACG players will be run from Noon to 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 19, 2014.

The first adventure, "On The Horizon", will commence thereafter at 1:00 pm and will end no later than 3:00 pm.

Participants will benefit from reading both the Skull & Shackles Adventure Card Game rules and the Organized Play rules (both available as free downloads from the Paizo website).

A Pathfinder ACG Class Deck, colored card sleeves, and matching polyhedral dice are recommended.

Existing enrolees and organizers are Pathfinder ACG novices, so new players without previous ACG experience are welcome.
