Back for its eighth consecutive year at PaizoCon! No monster-fighting tournament is more barbaric and senseless than the annual Green Blood on a Black Rock. You play a dastardly free captain ready to bet your hull full of captured goods that your enslaved beastie can shred all comers. Come to this event with a cool pirate name and shrewdly draft from a list of available critters. Then, play your monsters in a bracketed, one-on-one, anything goes death match. Bring your luckiest dice, because there will be a lot of green blood on everybody's favorite black rock. The captain whose monster survives to the end gets the honor of having one of the most famous monsters in the Sodden Lands—the monster to win Green Blood on a Black Rock 4717 AR!

It's back for it's ninth year running!
Once the lottery gets sorted out, I'd love to see who got into the tournament this year. Sound off, captains!
I'm gonna drop by to say hi to you and Bob, and try and guess who's gonna win this time. :)
So looking forward to running this with Adam (and hopefully getting hilariously murdered by him and Wes in Escape From Briarstone before-hand)!
We're gonna have a blast!
I'm in, I'm pumped, and I might just have to use the Amber Die itself! Fingers crossed for a flying polyp in the draft... ;)
Good to have you aboard, Adam!
I may come join just to speak pirate and peruse Stumpy's successors. & if you have a wait list please add me to it. :)
You're totally welcome to come and watch and wager!
Also what is the significance of the black rock?
Stoked to have you on board! It's gonna be a blast!
This event was something that my friend and fabled Dragon and Dungeon author Mike Kortes started way back in 2009. (Here's a report of the first PaizoCon tournament.) It's based on a piece in the Inner Sea World Guide (technically in the first Campaign Setting hardcoved) about a place in the Sodden Lands. Here's the PathfinderWiki page on it.
