Misfit Monsters Redeemed

A few weeks ago, I got the chance to speak with the folks at Know Direction, a monthly podcast devoted entirely to all things Pathfinder, brought to you by the folks from 3.5 Private Sanctuary and the Tome Show. We talked at great length about Misfit Monsters Redeemed (which I had the privilege of developing), as well as the Pathfinder Chronicler fanfiction contest and Paizo's recent hires from the Pathfinder community. If you're curious about what exactly went into Misfit Monsters, head on over to the episode's webpage to listen. (The interview takes up approximately the last quarter of the show.)

For the record: That high, goofy quality to my voice is just my cell phone. I sound way manlier in person, kind of like a young James Earl Jones. Just ask Wes! (On second thought, don't ask Wes.)

I've always thought the picture on the cover of Misfit Monsters could be titled, "A Tale of Three Bunnies".

Wait, that makes you a young Darth Vader ... so you sound like that kid in the Pod Race? Tough break.

Well at least you don't sound like Jar Jar.

Having had the great pleasure of dining with James at PaizoCon this year, I can personally verify the above statements are completely true.

*steps carefully away from specifying James or Baron's statements*

James is my hero, always excited about what he's doing. It's a dynamite interview.

That was a good interview James - nice mix of professionalism covering upcoming releases and informal chat between gamers. Sometime I'd love to hear more about the process of developing Pathfinder Tales. Knowing now that you may expand on popular entries in the weekly free fiction to a full novel, I'll be more vocal in commenting on characters that capture my interest there.

Regarding your voice, you'll likely never be a morning radio personality, but you could probably replace Regis Philbin...

Thanks for the kind words, folks! And I'd love to talk about Pathfinder Tales more--I know that Know Direction focuses more on game stuff, but perhaps somebody else will hit us up for an interview as the books continue to grow in popularity.

Also, after reading that blog, Chris Carey turned to me and said, "You know, you really *do* sound way different on your phone..." So there's one data point to verify my claims. :)
