The Hopeknife Festival is an important coming of age event for the local youths in Trunau, a stubbornly independent town within the orc-held land of Belkzen. The lively event is joyous and the whole town comes together to celebrate their history of standing against the orcs that have raided the town numerous times. You celebrate with the people, getting to know the townsfolk and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere, unaware that disaster will strike tonight and will lead to a growing threat to all of Avistan.

    Investigation Leads:
    The following leads have been found for the group to look into.

  • Rodrik's hopeknife: Rodrik's hopeknife was found with his body. It turns out that the hopeknife is not the knife Rodrik carried as confirmed by Brinya Kelver.
  • Rodrik's journal - Rodrik was known to carry a journal where he kept his notes for his writing. Brinya was asking for it to be returned to her. The journal was not found in his room when examined.
  • Clamor receipt - In Rodrik's room a receipt was found for a new hopeknife to be made at Clamor. The receipt appears to be genuine.
  • Examine Rodrik's room: Rodrik's body was found in his room at the Ramblehouse.
  • Speak with Cham Larringfass: Cham Larringfass is the proprietor of the Ramblehouse and she is the one who found Rodrik's body.
  • Speak with Brinya Kelver: Rodrik and Brinya were set to wed in the future.
