"The Rock "
|
The Rock stays silent as the others spend their money on people that they do not even know personally. Clearly Pathfinders are not like the run of the mill merchants which he spends the bulk of his time with.
This is like paying for a stranger's medical bills. How many people in real life would actually do this?

Having left several bodies behind, but restored three of the four comatose priests to consciousness, the Pathfinders depart the Monastery of the Unforgiving Tide. The journey via boat back to Almas is uneventful. After much bickering, the Society permanently relocates the recovered Fleshforge Manuscript to Absalom for safekeeping.
Several weeks later, however, rumors begin circulating that the manuscript has been stolen again! Other tales of strange--impossible!--thefts of documents begin circulating. And occasionally, just occasionally, the Pathfinders sent on the original mission to the monastery awaken to find themselves sleepwalking--or their own journals, scrolls, and spellbooks moved a few inches from where they left them . . . .
Okay, that's a wrap! Thanks everyone for playing. I'll get to work on Chronicles and they should be ready in a day or two.

Spica treats Pai to a delicious ice cream dessert, including fruit and chocolate, as promised, which they share. Very decadent but, after that mission, totally worth it.
Over the next few weeks, Spica starts using paperweights - very heavy ones, as well as asking someone to watch her as she sleeps in case she is sleep walking.
Thank you

"Awesome! I can't remember what I did to deserve this, but thank you!" Pai exclaims when Spica offers to treat her. Maybe that bonk on the head was more serious than she thought. Or maybe I'm going bat-poop crazy, she wonders, side-eyeing the book sitting on the other side of the table from where she set it just a minute ago.
Thanks for running!
