"Well, you don't currently feel any of his desires, correct? That should count for something. Besides, you're an asset to the Society too valuable to destroy. If you wanted, I'm sure the Society could organize a containment cell or something, so you can help the Society without being able to harm us."

"On top of that, Historia Prime was such a threat because he built his power in secret. I can only speak for myself, but your open concerns and willingness to prevent his return even at the ultimate cost to yourself goes a long way to reassure me, at least. Perhaps we could ask guidance to set up specific tracking routines to keep a watch on you, looking for warning signs?"

Trylara looks at the last remaining pixels of the defeated Historia, then looks at the glowing battleaxe in her hands. She looks up at Hope-01 as the weapon disappears back into the ether.
"I said recently that I like problems I can solve with an axe, but I don't think this is one. You still have free will. You can choose what you want to be. If you decide you want to be evil, then the axe is probably coming out again. But I don't think you will. You care too much. Iomedae wouldn't want us to harm you just because of what you might do."

The party pretty clearly is working to change Hope-01's mind. Someone add a Diplomacy check. It affects only the narrative. I'll be wrapping up and reporting today!

"We believe in freedom, but with freedom comes responsibility. Do you believe yourself to be responsible enough to avoid Historia Prime's violence?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23

"Are you so willing to gamble with the lives of those around you? Will you still choose life when I become worse than he who made me?” But with hope for the future, he shudders, whispers, “Thank you.” He then collapses to his knees and breaks down in happy tears. He hugs anyone willing....

You return to Absalom Station with Hope-01. Without Historia-Prime, the boundless nanites have ceased functioning and no longer replicate themselves. As you travel through the false Lorespire Complex, walls, floors, and features begin to lose their form. Back at Absalom Station you find the scene on the ground less chaotic than you might have expected. Many citizens celebrate the destruction of their mysterious attacker and gossip over their attacker’s identity.
At the Lorespire Complex, several Starfinder Society leaders are managing clean-up efforts, including Radaszam, Venture‑Captain Arvin, and Venture-Captain Naiaj.
Each leader invites you to join them in emergency relief efforts while listening avidly to their account of confronting Historia-Prime. Celita volunteers to take Hope-01 under her wing.
Soon, you get the chance to repeat your story in front of a huge gathering of Starfinders, where you receive special recognition from First Seeker Ehu Hadif for your role in defeating one of the Society’s oldest enemies.
The Data Scourge is at an end, and the Starfinder Society once again has hope for the future.
