This is open recruitment for 2-4 seats in a #1-09 (Star Crossed Voyages) / #1-23 (Star Crossed Court) double-header. Both scenarios are Levels 3-6, and two seats are reserved (Level 5 and Level 6), so high tier characters will be preferred.
#1-09 is a NON-repeatable scenario. #1-23 is a Repeatable scenario. Characters that can play both scenarios will be given priority.
Recruitment will be open from now until Monday, June 17, 2024, and selection is NOT first come first served. I will consider all applicants between now and Monday to have applied at the same time.
The Pathfinder Society is called upon to aid the fledgling nation of Vidrian! As the PCs sail beyond the edge of the Inner Sea and into the waters off the coast of southern Garund searching for new trade routes to connect Vidrian with new allies, the PCs find themselves amongst the iruxi, a civilization of lizardfolk astrologists. While the iruxi themselves seem to be likely allies, other forces stir in the nearby jungles, and if the PCs hope to return north with news of a newly charted route, they will need to first face an ancient evil whose presence complicates navigating the treacherous ocean ways.
On an idyllic island of the western coast of Garund, the PCs arrive at the iruxi city of Ekkeshikaar. Seeking to establish new trade relations between the lizardfolk of Ekkeshikaar and the people of Vidrian, the Pathfinder Society must navigate a delicate political landscape while thwarting the efforts of nefarious forces who seek to stop the proposed alliance by any means necessary.
The pace of this game will be slower than average, due to my personal schedule. I'll aim for 1 post per weekday, 1 post per weekend, but realistically, 2 posts per 3 days is what's happening.
I don't know if #1-09 is going to fill up. If you're interested in #1-23 only, you can apply, but I'll probably offer any leftover seats through PMs.
To apply, make a post with your character alias, explaining why the Pathfinder Society should choose that character for a first contact situation.

Sorcerer-5 keen here.
Slipp is a charming, if somewhat odd gnome. Renown for their charm, and flute playing, they also have the ability to put the fear of Urxehl into people who mess them about.
Having already proved their mettle in a series of missions down in Sedeq they would be an ideal person in a dangerous first contact mission.

Hey WaterySoup!
I have Tharpe that should be done with his scenario at that point. If not, I have few other PCs (low or high tier). I will use replay to play through 1-09, and I played 1-23 twice so far, if it impacts your decision.
Tharpe is a ruffian rogue, that is very much built to try and be the tank. He is neither beutiful nor smart ;) But I like to think that his heart is in the right place.
For a first contact mission, I think Tharpe would be chosen as a bodyguard than anything else. He is also a bit Jack of All Trades (and master in none ;)), so maybe this is why.
If We would like to reach for a higher tier group, I should have someone around lvl 5-6;
Currently Tharpe is lvl 1 but I have some chronicles coming his way, due to AP's/ gm credit

Awakened Prime of Celestia is a Conrasu whose essence was born of the first star at the universe’s beginning, stranded for millennia as one of trillions of nameless particles at the bottom of the ocean, liberated by an astrological event that caused a piece of driftwood to fuse with what would become his cosmic core!
His own First Contact with Golarion thus being very recent, the planet, he has decided, it is his purpose to protect…
A remastered Twisting Tree Magus / Hydrokineticist achieved of Level 5
His player is down with the proposed slower pace, adores “series” style of play, and is willing to burn the replay for the scenario he hasn’t run since pathfinder’s first year, unless GM can muster enough of a critical mass who is green to either / both scenarios in which case he will gladly step aside

Mindartis and his companion, Mialee, have been to different missions and have already initiated contact with a variety of civilizations. From exploring the islands of Bhopan, to having trained with various ancestries (recently with a group of kobolds), the duo of the Horizon Hunters is determined to expand the Society's network.

Out of character, when is this session taking place? Please include time zone.
This game is happening over play-by-post. It'll be a few posts per week over the next 14-18 weeks. Have you played play-by-post before?
I see that Storg is your only PFS character. I want to point out that your character would be locked for that whole time, meaning you wouldn't be able to play them in face-to-face or vitual tabletop games until they completed the adventure.

This is the first I've heard of it. I'm guessing it's like correspondence chess? How would we handle dice rolls? Just by telling you our modifiers and letting you roll?
I'd be fine with Storg being locked in for that time. I've been thinking of making another character anyway, as there aren't many Warhorn games available that fit my schedule.

Oops, wrong alias. You saw nothing. I am not a Tarrasque disguised as a dwarf. Pinky promise.

Seated:
Slipp (sorcerer 5)
Mindartis Nightbreeze (ranger 6)
Applying without Replay:
Storg Dragondropper (wizard 6)
Applying with Replay:
Tharpe (rogue ?)
Awakened Prime of Celestia (magus 5)
Aldonza Delamorte (swashbuckler 6)
This sounds like a great crew as is. You're all in!
1. Farol, you're free to bring Tharpe or any other character, we'll make it work.
2. Storg, since you're new to PbP:
2.1. Please refer to this link for a general introduction to PbP play. Note that many of the names are outdated, however (Tyranius has not been a VC for a long time).

2.2. Please update your character profile and tagline to include the information that others have included. You can do this by going to your character page and clicking "Edit" in the top right corner.
You can use any of the other characters' profiles and taglines as a template.

My witch is probably the closest in format.

The tagline should definitely include AC, HP maximum, Perception and saves. I include senses, speed, default exploration activity, plus spells and Hero Points, but those aren't as important as AC/HP/saves.
3. Logistical things I forgot to be clear about.
3.1. Those of you using Replays, please mark it during sign in.
3.2. Two separate Chronicles will be issued, one for #1-09 (after the first part is completed) and #1-23 (after the second is completed).
3.3. We'll use the same Gameplay thread, though, for both scenarios.
