Greetings Pathfinders and Starfinders!

We’re all very excited to announce the upcoming PBP Outpost IX! I will try to keep this as brief as possible so that folks can find all the information quickly. We will be having adventures of all sizes, including quests, bounties, and scenarios!

We welcome Society players and GMs of all experience levels, from grizzled veterans to wide-eyed newcomers.

ANNOUNCEMENT

I have opened up the Outpost IX Event Listing sheet so that GMs can start adding their game details in, such as start dates and server/channel info. This is especially useful for GMs running GM Choice recruitment so you can advertise your recruitment channels now.

Remember, you can advertise your recruitment, but may not seat players until the GM and General Seating dates.

GM Early Signups now open!

Early signups for FCFS tables are now open for our GMs (and ONLY our GMs) as a special thank you for running games for Outpost IX. Please remember to limit your signups to 1 regular table for now. When general seating opens on the 9th, you can sign up for more tables.

PBP Outpost IX General Seating now open!

General seating is now open for all players. While there is no limit to the number of games you can sign up for, we do ask that everyone do their best not to overcommit. We also would ask that you not sign up for tons of games at the very beginning, to give everyone the chance to find a seat at a table. Sign up for a few, then wait a day or two to give others the chance.

Remember that the 1 game per character rule still applies to PBP/D games, so no signing up to play in multiple games with the same character.

2 of the 3 SF2e tables for Outpost IX on the Paixo forums have already filled up. I'm running Scenario #1-17: Corpse Fleet Conflict, which is 3rd to 4th level.

I figured there's a good chance no one has 3rd level character yet in play-by-post. Just a reminder, you can make a character starting at 3rd level in SFS2

The scenario has not released yet, so I haven't read it, but I'm thinking this might be the first time we see Cinematic Starships Scenes used in organized play.

My mistake, there are 4 tables on the Paizo forums for SF2e at Outpost IX
2 are full

1-09 Abduction has 1 seat open
1-17: Corpse Fleet Conflict has 6 seats open.

For those looking for Paizo tables, I just withdrew from 2 SFS2e tier 1-2 scenarios.

GMs, with one week to go before Outpost IX officially starts, you should be collecting player information, finalizing your tables, and making sure you have everything ready to go. While you cannot use any game text from the scenario yet, feel free to have your players start introductions and Role Play in the gameplay channels.

I have the minimum number of players to start, but I'm willing to delay starting until March 9th if anyone wants to build a 3rd-level character.

Building higher-level characters is a new option in SF2e organized play, so this would be a good chance to try it out and provide feedback to the organized play team. I think it's an interesting option, especially if you have a character concept that uses an artcetype.

This scenario is also the first use of Cinematic Starship Scenes in organized play, if anyone would like to give that a try.

I know that Outpost started 2 weeks ago, but here's one for those that either didn't get a chance to get in on a table there, or just can't help themselves and need just one more game.

I would like to finish this before Origins in mid-June, and if we can finish before Bridging the Gap Con starts at the end of May, even better.

All that said, I'm offering SFS 1-07 Seize and Destroy, Tier 1-2 for 5 PCs.

Hi, everyone! GM signup has started for Bridging the Gap, our next online convention. It will begin Friday, May 22. GM signups are now open, including recruitment for PbP multi-table specials. (there is also a VTT component that weekend, for those who enjoy real time online play).

Anyone running SFS 2E games that need another player?

I've played a ton of SFS 1E, but I am just now trying out 2E.

Does online games advertised through Warhorn count? I got one of those coming up.

I'm looking for PBP, but thanks for your offer!

There are still a few T1-2 SFS2E games that will be run on the boards during Bridging the Gap (starting in late May), and recruitment for them is handled through Warhorn. I think that's what phaeton_nz was talking about.

Actually I was talking about my online Roll20 run of 1-02 which is on Warhorn but not part of Bridging the Gap. But John is correct, there are PbP games coming up on these forums which are advertised on Warhorn.
