Manual of Dexterity?

So, are there no magical items that give permanent ability score increases like the Manual of Dexterity and it's like did? I can't find anything like it on Archives of Nethys, but didn't know if their names had been altered.

No consumable gives permanent ability boosts any more. The only items that give boosts in this way are Apex items, though these require investment and a character can only benefit from one at a time.

But there's a lot of items that gives bonus to many abilities and/or skills that you can get to improve something specific that you may want to improve.

I mean there is the wish spell. But I don't think that is what you are meaning.

Stats do not get as high in PF2 as they do in the previous edition. You basically are going to top out at 24 in any given stat, and that's with putting all of your bonuses in it and the apex item.

There's also Nocticula's major boon.

As other mentioned, they don't exist anymore.

Ability scores don't go as high as they used to, intentionally.

I also remember seeing a quest reward in one of the adventure paths that gave a boost, though I no longer recall where.

At the GM's discretion, you can give boosts to any attribute you want whenever you want.

The reason for doing this as a GM is probably not "to make sure their best modifier gets as high as it possibly can." You'd probably be best served as a GM to use this for fixing people's lower mods.

I want to write up a level 20 adventure based around acquiring and executing the Wish ritual for each of the players in the party, and then dealing with the consequences of doing so. Starting ultra-high powered because level 20, then getting Wish access to dial things up another notch. Wishing for another boost to your main stat could definitely be on the table in such a game!

Apparently Wish in the new play test rule set can include deification...so I doubt you'll see many people take "boost my ability score".

I already Wished for an errata to the new Wish. All will be well.

You might do a few rounds of lower tier wishes so you can stand a chance against things coming to get you for the big ones!

Thank you all for your responses! I was mostly hoping for a way to boost my non-primary stats some to give more options in the way of multi-classing with archetypes. But as it appears to be something that can only be done at much higher level, or at GM's discretion, I suppose I'm out of luck. Ah well, thanks again for the reponses!

Well you do realize that at levels 5, 10, 15, and 20 you get to boost 4 ability scores? And ability score under 18 increase by 2 (while those at 18 or over increase by 1). So it's pretty easy to increase ability scores for multiclass archetypes if you want to. I don't think any archetypes require more than a 14 in a stat. So if you start at 12 in a stat, which is reasonable, by level 5 you can start into your archetype.
