Raising an eyebrow as the AI calls their names 'Aslan' Navarre had never considered where the naming conventions came from, but apparently this 'ship' knew. Listening as the other ask similart questions to his own, Navarre nods in agreement, he'd like to help the ship once they'd let the clan know what had happened. As the ship explains it's reasoning and motives, Navarre was more concerned with making sure things didn't blow up, so he was relieved when the ship started explaining how to deal with the situation.

Breathing a sigh, Navarre had hoped to repair the sword and use it himself, but helping 'Steed' honor their brave master seemed like the right thing to do. laying the sword on the panel near the small holographic figure, "Here is the sword. I should help Cable." Lifting his pack he slings it over his shoulder as he follows Cable to the workshop. Nodding his head he's relieved to see that Abebe is moving to help them. Grabbing the nearest tank he pulls his multi-tool and begins to remove the oxygen tank and splice the hose for the valve. His paws shaking he realizes he'd ruined the hose, grabbing another tank he slowed down and made the correct adjustments.

As they worked, he asks, "Should we go to the armory and fetch the 'black box' for the 'Core mind' now, or come back after we disconnect the turrent?"

Once they go outside
As they approach the turret, Navarre quickly starts to pry the panel up and hold it open so Nathan can reroute the power.

Boom heads first to the armory to pick up the box. He looks around quickly and then heads to the workshop to work on his tank. With time running out he heads outside and looks for the power cable heading to the turret and bashes it. Unless he saw a cutting weapon in the armory, if so he grabbed it to slice with.

Venssa continues to look over the ships systems, checking out the database and taking inventory of everything onboard (Food, water, weapons, tools etc.)

Weapons,
There are two Alsan laser hunting carbines, what looks to be a shock-stick, and is when you test it. Also a laser pistol like the ones you have. 2 Aslan Vacc suites, Food wise, there nothing that is edible now, not after 600 years. There is clean water how ever, taken from the H2O fuel tanks. There is the personal belongings of the Alsan knight.
You get the feeling that the knight was more a diplomat then a fighter.
All Data bases are held in 'Steeds' Mind-core. Which you have no idea is on this ship. And try as you might steed will not tell you where her Mind core is.

Digger Boom and Navarre, get to cable unlinked just in time, there are some sparks and fires for a shot while but the turret is now dead.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

you can now start to explore the rest of the base. You find doors closed, but no robots until you get the main Control room.

As you search you find a large amount of unrefined ores, three Alsa ATVs hallers. Need repair. And other mining equipment large and small.
A trove of salvageable mining equipment for the clan.
Living spaces for more then 50 also the train line tunnel.

You stand now by the main control room door, the last room to look in, the door will not open, its seems to have been welded shut. You have found a cutter and can get past this, but what will you do once you open the door.

Earlier
Breathing a sigh of relief as Cable gets the cable unlinked just in time, Navarre, looks up at the broken guns, wondering if they were something he'd be able to repair. Mentally shaking himself, there were more important things to worry about right now. Turning to the others, "Well done everyone, especially you Cable." He gestures towards the ship and starts to move that way. "If we're going to shut down the main computer we should go back in the ship, refill our tanks and go to the Armory to get the Mind-Killer device for the bases mind core."

After refilling his oxygen tank Navarre goes to the armory. Finding the small black box with three blue lines on it he takes off his pack, hefting the item in his paw, he places it the side pocket of his rucksack. Once he's resecured his pack he heads back to the airlock waiting for his companions.

It appears that Venssa found some cool stuff, I'll not steal her thunder referring to it in character. But I would recommend that we avail ourselves of the rifles and pistols, Boom, it would seem that you can replace your 'stick' with a Shock-stick. :) We still have the three azlan lazer armor but I'd assume we'd need to take some time and make some rolls to adjust its size to fit us. I've not posted the time to do that, but if someone else wants to Navarre would help.

Now
As they move through the ancient facility, Navarre is impressed with the wealth they've found. As it dawns on him what this find will do for his clan, he starts to be humbled. They would be celebrated as heroes, but they'd only done what any true clan member would have. Realizing they'd gathered at the door to the control room, Navarre focus on the task at hand. Dropping his pack, he takes out the small black box with the three blue lines. "Steed said we needed to put this in one of the control slots." He looks at the others, "I'm assuming the 'mind' will do everything to protect itself, so we need someone fast to place it." Giving a light smile, "We all know I'm not that fast, especially for a Varg, but I can distract it with my shot gun. So, I'll be the first in the door." He gestures towards the torch. "Who's going to cut the door open, who's going to follow me in with the cube and who's going to give suppressing fire with those fancy Aslan lasers?"

If were going with my plan, we need someone to cut the door in, someone to follow Navarre into the room to plant the cube and the other two to be ready to shoot. Or we can do something else.

Male Human AACBC6

Outside the door Boom says "I'm probably best on the cutter. Doesn't mean I can't put the cube in. I think those with ranged weapons should be through the door first to lay down fire so that whomever has the cube can make it in. I'll be happy to take that chance as that person will draw all their fire."

I will wait on the others to post what they intend to do as
1st actions

Note:, You dont roll all players go 1st then the AI and any other, so post you actions.

The door is now open, have a look at the map.

What you see is steps leading down, half way down is another bigger robot with twin lasers, below a small robot franticly working at a computer back. It seems to have the bases power core controls up. the drop to the lower deck is about 20'

Abebe, distracted by his thoughts on all the ship told them, does little to help with the powering-up-weapon. After it's disabled, he returns to the ship introducing himself, "Hi, Steed, I'm Monger Abebe "He who flys" an appellation that I acquired from a futile attempt to make a viable aircraft for this world." Sotto voce, he mutters, "Gotta love sarcasm." He follows normally with, "In order to determine feasibility with returning the honorable blade in person, I'd like you to determine your operating needs and those expenses in your normal currency and if you can, in Imperial currency and local currency. If need be I can supply you with additional information on local values when we reach our clan. We can go over those figures when we get back." Something for the computer to chew on while we are away committing computercide.

Abebe sees the terrible set up in the rooms and notes that there is nothing he has that can deal with the big robot so he thinks of a stupidly brave plan. Since we can see the small robot(SM) working at the table, it implies that the stairs are not completely surrounded by walls. He moves to the front and says, [b]"I'll break for the area the small robot is in, drawing fire, that should make a great chance for everyone to open up on it. Whoever takes the kill switch should hold back because the item itself will be the main target."

Assuming no one blocks him, Abebe does the run of his life trying to reach cover over the left edge of the stair to where the SM is. He will dodge any attack from the really large laser armed robot(LAR). There should be limited cover after he goes over the edge. Note the he will be about half way down the stairs before jumping over any rails or equipment in the way. His final objective will be the desk the SM is working at, using it by crouching behind.

Dodge usually cause a -1, cover from -0 to -6 as I understand it.

Dex): 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 1 = 11 To sprint

Athletics(DEX): 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 5) + 1 = 8 To make the jump without injury. Should not be too hard, he can use his hands to help, even more if there are any rails.

What do you others do

Realizing Abebe was serious about rushing down the steps towards the other robot, Navarre's eyes widen as his friend rushes past him. Hoping his friend at least picked up one of the laser weapons, Navarre bolted down the steps after him. Getting as close to the armed robot as he can. Navarre levels his shotgun at the larger robot squeezing his trigger, the sound of the shotgun roaring through the room,

Venssa stays on the ship trying to learn as much as she can about the vessel, the path to the Alsan planet etc.

Venessa stays on the ship refilling you OX bottles.

As the weld brakes you all rush into the room!! The larger robot, loses track of Abebe as he runs past it, it then spins and attacks, "Two-Fingers"who shoots at it hitting its left laser arm and blowing it off, A big chunk of the side of it comes off as well. , doing a lot of damage to it, it can no longer move, But its shoots back at him with is good arm, hitting his Left Arm, Doing 4 points of DMG. If you have the flash armor on no DMG but you lose the armor on that arm.

below the small robot is working at the controls, you can now see its typing in a code for the bases power unit. the screen is red you may not know Asian but you know danger when you see it..

"Blast!" Cursing as the laser rips through his vacc suit and pierces his arm. Lifting the shotgun to his shoulder, his left arm 'screaming' in pain, he levels the shot gun at the 'combat robots' squeezing the trigger.

I'm assuming having gone down the steps that Navarre is very close to the robot, hoping kicking the robot to put it off balance is something like a move ation...if not ignore this part
Realizing they couldn't get past the wounded robot, and knowing their time was running out, Navarre steps closer and tries to kick the unmoving combat robot in the head, attempting to put it off balance and knock it down the stairs.

I'm assuming here that the small robot is not obviously overly heavy or large compared to a human.

Abebe needs to make a snap decision, while taking time to carefully assess the robot that seem to be doing something ill for the base would be good there is no time to spare. So he tries to force the robot from the desk he is working at.

Athletics(DEX): 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 5) + 1 = 12 Use Athletics as wrestling to force the robot from the desk, throw it down if the roll is good enough. Use Melee in unarmed mode if using rules that don't allow Athletics to be wrestling.

Digger Boom slames the kill box in the slot and there is a moment when lights flicker. The screens lose images and show a sign of black lines.

Nathan take this moment to shot and its the little robot,

Burning deep into its body it goes dead.

The Ai is no more.

COMABT IS OVER!!

You can now take your time to check out the base, the ship and do medial stuff.

And plan what to do next.

Over to you players.

Relieved to see Boom slam the cube onto the computer panel, Navarre turns looking at the hole in his suit. Quickly returning his shotgun to its scabbard he takes out his repair kit and puts a patch on the vaccsuit.

Figuring he'll take care of the wound once they return to the ship, Navarre asks, talking as much to himself as the others. "I wonder if we repair these robots, we could combine some of the others and get a couple working."

Gesturing back the way they came. "This is an amazing find for the clan, but how do they get here? Maybe we can use the dock as an entrance."

Male Human AACBC6

Boom breathes a sigh of relief as the AI dies. "That was too close. You need a hand Two-Fingers?"

After his suit is patched up he says "We need to give this place a once over before we head back to the ship. Hey! She that flies can you hear us on our comms?" He pauses for an answer and then says "I am specifically looking for any sort of armory or treasury. Also if there is any refined metals here. We should bring back what we can to the Clan for proof of our find. Anything that might be valuable."

Boom will then start searching the place.

Investigate + Int: 2d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1, 5) + 1 + 1 = 8

8BAC87

Abebe breathes a sigh of relief now that the most important threats have been dealt with. He turns to Cable saying, "Uh, 'Doc Cable' you got your paramedic ticket didn't you? When we get back to the ship, think you can help with the bumps and burns I have, with the adrenalin going down, it's really beginning to smart?" Abebe adds, "After we can check some more stuff out and then decide what we want to do."

She that flys replies over comms.

"There is only what my sensors can detect around the ship. Some... 40 tones or refined mettles and 80 tones of ores in containers. This was a drop off an pick up hub, for refined ores and mining equipment. The only weapons would be for personal and security use, but for the two large lasers docks defence lasers. As for getting to your clan, I am flight ready for sub orbital flights, but would need to refuel for a jump"

As you look over the base, you find 2 more side arm lasers pistols.
And hand weapons like pikes for training, Much like the gym back down the track. There house hold goods, cleaning devices and spare ports for the robots even. You think you could fix most things, robots and even the two in-place lasers. It will just take time and skills the rest of the clan have. just not the AI core, which is slag.

Male Human AACBC6

Boom smiles and says "Thank you she that flys. We have a land vehicle that we will need to get back to our clan as well so we can't fly back. Can you tell what types of refined metals and ore are there? Specifically any of the bluish metal like the sword?"

Boom then picks up the lasers belting a holster on for one of them and the pikes and heads back to the ship.

When everyone is there he says "We should try and bring these laser's back. Can anyone disassemble them?"

"Its mostly titanium and titanium dioxide, with a few cans of Silver and led. There is a lot of Aluminium, and one container I can see of a radioactive type but I cant see what it is, I could get you to you craft if its above ground. I can also see refined Ice for refuelling."

As you look around you see officers and living spaces, there are stand alone computers and delay devices. It is very much a mining depo. Where house space full off mining drills and even laser cutters. The life support would need some work. But the power grid.

Male Human AACBC6

Boom's eyes light up "Can you direct me to the cans of silver and where the titanium is? Can we load the refined ice into you for refuelling and could you store some as well or would it melt? Our vehicle is about ground, if it isn't buried. It is near the other entrance to here where we found the sword."

Double checking the patch on his suit, Navarre shakes his head, "No it's holding. I'll be ok for a bit. But would like to get back to the ships soon so Cable can take a look at it."

He chuckles at Boom's question about materials for 'proof', Moving back up the stairs and towards the doorway, asking. "You don't think a sentient Aslan spaceship will be proof enough that we found something?"

Moving towards Abebe, he offers a shoulder, "If you need help Abebe lean on my shoulder, I'm heading that way too, but I'm not in that bad of shape."

As Digger gathers the items they saw earlier, Navarre considers his questions about disassembling the turrets, He'd bet money between his father and brother and some of the other mechanics and engineers they could get the laser turrets working again, either to leave here at the base for protection or to attach to the ship. He didn't remember seeing any weapons array on the ship, asking on the intercom, "Steed, I don't remember seeing any weapons on you. Would it be in our best interest to disassemble the laser turrets and attach them to you?" He paused for a moment, "Would we have time to do that before we leave to return your masters items to his people?"

Hearing Cables line of questions for the ship, Intent on heading to the medbay with Abebe and Cable himself, he turns and asks Boom, "Boom, are you thinking we take the ship to the vehicle and then go speak with the clan before we leave? Would you bring them here and help them repair the oxygen supplies or would we need to leave soon?"

8BAC87

A very short post, Narvarre ninja'd me by 18 seconds and I have revised mine.

Abebe says to Navarre, ""Thanks I can manage it's just painfull, still can function, I've worked with pain before."

Abebe has a thought, "Hey, you all, we can both bring Rusty and Steed along, it's only a short hop Steed should not need a big crew, she seems to just need two anyway; one or two drivers could take Rusty back. Should we land Steed at the nearby spaceport or to the Shaft?"

Is the nearby spaceport controlled by our clan or at least very friendly to it? What would be best so that interlopers don't interfere?

Nodding as Abebe answered about his wound, Navarre was relieved that his friend wasn't terribly injured. As they made their way to the medlab, he nodded as Abebe explained about 'steed's need for crew' Furrowing his brow he was about to add that she'd flown alone for centuries when she answered his and Cable's questions. Looking towards Cable he responds, "Sounds like the first order of business is getting patched up, then helping Boom load fuel then collecting a few items for ourselves as keepsakes." He smiles and gestures towards the guns on Cable's hips.

"Once those things are loaded, we can fly to Rusty, and one of us can drive it back home to the mine." He pauses for a moment, "I"m not sure how they will get here, we'll leave that to the Elders will sort out, But we can help before we help 'Steed' with her task."

I found two more hand lasers and some pikes. Saw some cleaning devices as well. After the water we will load up all the silver and as much titanium as we can. They would move here, to the old Aslan mine. If what Boom had found was any indication, they would be rich mining. If not, they would be rich doing salvage, at least two or three generations.

But, he had no desire to crawl about a mine or a salvage operation. Not if flying the stars was an option, knowing they could come home and visit anytime they wanted. No more tunnels, no more cramped vents, no more wearing a vacc suit every time he needed to step out of the 'tunnel' he would be able to see the stars anytime he wanted. Maybe even land on planets where no vacc suit would even be needed.

Feeling suddenly free, Navarre sat up and started to peel off the vacc suit. When the others noticed he shrugged and smiled. "Easier for Cable to look at my shoulder." Having stripped the vacc suit, feeling like he understood Steed just a little bit more, he chimes in the conversation. "Since Steed needs someone to stay aboard, I'll volunteer. I can't drive the RV anyway."

"Yes but as you can see, when an Alsan AI is left alone it can go mad, like the base AI here, most choose to self-Terminate like I intended to do before that happons. I was lucky, found you and that gave me a new objective. That of getting my last masters family regalia home to his clan."

She says perking up.

She that flys, humms as she starts to fill up her outer skin tanks.
As load up your 15 tons of cargo, the store room kind take 10T and the other 5T is spread round the ship. Living spaces are worked out and you take the time to pack away the last owners personal things into storage spaces. She the flys points out what needs to be kept. Also what food sticks need to be left behind as they have long past their use date.

Its at this point she that flys asks you to bring one of the smaller robots onto the ship. Its Robot mind is gone but She that flys says she can control remotely while it on the ship. She shows you where on of the sliding doors you have seen before are where you can place it, to its stored away. She says her last owner took the one that was there when he left the ship. This would act as worker robot to help any one doing tasks on the ship. It will not work more then a few 100' from the ship given control range.

Can I have a Eng or Mech roll DC 9 please

She that flys asks you to look around the base for some parts she needs to fix the ships lesser systems that have stoped working over the year.

Also A computer or electrons roll DC Please

Last of all,

I need a Pilot roll DC11, She that flys gives you a +1 to this roll.

And a Navigation [Planet based Nav, Astrogation is Space based Nav.] DC9 to find your way back to old Rusty area. flys gives you a +1 to this roll.

Then can I have a Ships Scenors rolld DC 11 to find Rusty flys gives you a +1 to this roll.

Last of all a Comms roll please DC7
For something ...

As they enter the med room, Cable makes a remark about the A.I. programming, Abebe agrees, saying "Yeah, I think most organic beings the A.I's they build to help and work for them, not have machines bosses them around. Seem to remember a classic story or two about A.I's being too helpful and protective to the point they make people useless for "their own good'."

Abebe lays down on the medical table as Cable works their medicine, He asks She who flys, "Steed, have you made any progress in determining expenses as i asked? If so print out, if you can print out, a spreadsheet with it, I'll need it to see about financing your needs."[b] Abebe starts to settle in as intermittent jolts of pain and its relief surge through his body. Also we need to contact spaceport for flight control. If you need me to pilot I'm trained in it but the license hasn't been awarded yet, I only have a training permit; I wonder if an A.I would count as a proper supervising pi ... lot ...." Abebe trails off as long exhausting day, combined with injuries puts him to sleep.

To make pilot roll he'll have to be awoken to make it.

If woken up to pilot:
Pilot(Dex): 2d6 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1, 6) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 10 Dex +1, Skill +1, Steed +1

If there is a radio challenge open and awake:
Abebe responses, "This is Emergency Flight Unplanned, rescue of trapped party off of RST-3 expedition, all alive. Respond please." Comm(INT): 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 + 1 = 9 INT +2, Comm +1

earlier
After 'Cable' repairs his shoulder, Navarre helps 'Boom' finish loading and unloading what was needed. As they load the smaller robot from the 'control room' Navarre asks 'She that Flys' "Would you be able to do the same with the 'guard robots' once we repair them? Since there are two I should be able to cobble together one working one."

Now
Once the robots are dragged aboard, while the others sort out 'sleeping quarters' Navarre begins looking around for the parts 'She that flys' need to get some of her lesser stysems working. As he gathers parts he asks lots of question wanting to help the ship and build a repour with her.

Edit: Once they seem ready to be underway, Navarre will report to the engineering room.

engineering: power (education): 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6, 4) + 2 + 1 = 13
engineering: electronics (education): 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 + 1 = 7
Edit: Navarre will focus on engineering, but In case no one else makes a sensor roll.
sensor (education): 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 2 + 1 = 13

She that flys, to Monger steed. She answers to both. Gives out a index of running costs. Its in aslan currency form 600 years ago, so you would need to convert but in a nutsheel its around
Cr2000 a week basic consumables,
Cr10,000 a year basic consumables,
Cr50,000 a year Basic full ships maintenance inspection Certifications
[+ costs of any work needed to pass]
You work this out form what you know.
Cr 5500 A mouth good level of foods stuffs and consumables for per crew member

other
Refuelling [As per re fuelling location]
Docking Tax'es [As per re Location]
Docking service charges [As per location]

"I am sorry I am limited to remote 1 robot at a time, But if you can fix one them should be able to switch between them."

Navarre finds new air filters and cleans out decayed and check seals which all seem find. Finally you check the ships cams and find a number of projects. Fixing them A form comes into being. A holo projection now walking around the common space.
