As Quince was speaking with Jorrast and Kendryl. He excused himself. He does that a lot especially if other guardians are nearby.

Anyone who's ever lost a post because of the Paizo "backtracking" error, I highly recommend switching to Firefox, at least for your posting. It retains what you type in form fields, so if you click submit and a problem occurs, you can just click back and all your text is still there.

Sabbaton is so great for playing Barbs, and the lyrics are so easily altered into pathfinder its amazing.

Then there is also a massive semi industry for Sabaton Covers in other languages, most notably Russian, and they also made an album in swedish, so you can mix and match if you want.

I am, when GMing frequently using Heilung as Barbarian background music specifically because I can be pretty certain that nobody in the party actually understands Old Norse or protogermanic.

It's funny that Markus mentions getting bigger when raging. Once I get to gestalt, Goliath Druid will let me gain Enlarge Person, allow it to apply to my animal companion (despite being an animal), and wild shape into different giants.

Ulricha and markus are probably going to get around really well, at least until Ulricha discovers Markus got a glass jaw :).

Gestalt wise, hmmm, my build mostly needs feats. All the feats. I am setup to at some point feint and felling smash.

I am tentatively thinking that my gestalt will be a warsighted oracle of battle.

This will allow me to adapt quite flexibly towards things: Possible stuff:
--We are dealing with dodgy foes.
Turn 1: Use move action to grab greater feint and felling smash, use standard action to cast some buff.
Turn 2: Greater feint as a move action, stripping enemies dodge boni for everyone, felling smash, hitting them, tripping them, hitting them again.

Stronk foes?
--Grab Vital strike and felling smash
--Felling smash with vital strike after moving up

Many foes:
--Grab whirlwind attack and some attack steroid like arcane strike
--Go to town.

War sighted gives up most revelations, but for him, only 2 revelations from battle are super good anyway.

Notes: I need mad magic feat to cast oracle spells while raging

I am confused as to the trolls. Is it two trolls that are on the battlemap. Or many trolls that continue above the battlemap and a super giant troll as well.

Asking for people with wands of Wall of Fire and Fireball.

Also do those of us with Initiative rolls lower than the trolls wait for their action before we take our turn? Would have had a readied action to rage, the moment enemies show.

No they grew the thorny vegetation around the town in strategic chokepoints. The town is about a days travel by horse from your current location.

I adjusted the red ring for my fireball cause it had shifted up 5 feet. Just want to make sure that it was were I described hitting red, blue, yellow, purple, and black.

Did more than one group of humans surrender. The group I was talking to were Tiger Lord Barbarians. Who are allies with Drelev sent by their chieftain Armag. They are not residents of Fort Drelev.


Yes, nearly all of the soldiers surrendered as well as the barbarians. They are mostly humans. You have about 75 human 'soldiers' and 25 human barbarians.

So there were Barbaians and separate units that are likely from Drelev?


Yes. As Jorraste said, many of the 'soldiers' were forced into a militia and brought here. Many are likely more expert or commoner levels as opposed to Warrior.

The barbarians are merely a small force that was ordered to fight. They can easily tell you five times their number protects Drelev. Though against a god how can their numbers count stacked against that.

Most NPCs won't have any input on your discussions unless specifically requested.

Gotcha. I was just trying to understand. I was aware of barbarians, goblins and trolls. I missed soldiers until he mentioned them. So I was trying to get the context I missed.


No worries, I never added them to the combat map for several obvious reasons. Too many of them and not a threat to you at all, especially after the entangling from Alice.

Next steps so everyone know my thinking at least:
Get to Elkheart.
Servants will escort you to your own rooms in the castle.
There is a steaming bath waiting in your room for you. Tidy up!
Come down to the greeting hall.
Be given your rewards for a fine job well done as well as your commissions for startup for the next 6 months = 700 gp.
Rewards: A wish or magical weapon from the Cursed Repository.
Shopping in town for a few days! See the sights!
Council meeting with many of you coming as guests.
Plans for Drelev.
Prepare to strike Drelev.
Of course this will likely take a week if not two so please think about such things and relay to us your story. If you wish to interact with any NPCs just let me know and we can make spoilers at meetings.

My ambitious goal is to have all that done before Monday of next week. Otherwise we have to hand wave a lot of RP and I hate to do that but we do need to keep the game rolling.

Literally I was just talking with the GM about getting you guys into Kingdom roles.

Full disclosure I was hoping that you all were going to on board with ideas in mind for what kingdom role (see the kingdom rules if you haven't already) you wanted we were coming off a year of downtime so that we could have used that time to be why you were coming into this chapter already established. The GM and I talked about retiring, killing, or giving NPCS other roles so you guys could fill them. In an ironic twist the few people that seemed to have that idea were also ones that jumped ship before the chapter opened or very quickly after.

When the chapter started it went very much in the direction of new introductions and getting to know you which is cool but that means then that new characters are new.

Not knowing there was any desire for us to take on such roles immediately, I think we did what was requested, which was have reasons to be here, and to be useful to you. I know that's what I did.

Vandomir was born to nobility, and has experience in the Sable Company. As such, he'd gladly take on such a role, once he proves himself to you and the kingdom.

Sorry Vandomir I wasn't intending that as a complaint about you or the other new characters at all. If anything I did not post enough in the recruitment thread and the GM and I talked a lot before recruitment and some of those plans did not happen. Things went down pretty much like you said.

The reason I posted above is that I wanted players to know that characters will have opportunities.

I created Zsófia with reasons to believe she already belongs on the council (though it may come across like she is entitled or grasping I suppose). She's been granted a title by the king of Brevoy that says she is Baroness (or perhaps that should be Marchioness?) of the Narlmarches. This is designed to create an interesting dilemma for the existing players, because they have already claimed the Narlmarches for Greenwatch under the auspices of their title to the Stolen Lands granted to them by the Aldori Swordlords. The Brevic king is basically asserting that his ancestral claim to these lands takes precedence over that of the Rostland nobles, and that they can't grant the lands to Greenwatch without his authority.

So what do the lords of Greenwatch do? If they say "screw you, the Narlmarches are ours," that may cause a rift in their diplomatic relationship with Brevoy. But if they allow Zsófia to claim her lands as granted to her by Brevoy, it suggests that they don't really hold the rest of the Stolen Lands either. What's to stop Brevoy from granting other people lands in their territory? Of course, it's also possible the Aldori swordlords will take offense if Greenwatch seems to acknowledge that their title isn't legitimate, as the regent clearly intends.

Zsófia's aware of the problem this creates, of course, and she's taking advantage of it as best she can, while making it clear that she's willing to work with both sides to get what they want (well, not the swordlords! :D ). Perhaps the best solution for Greenwatch is for them to deny her claim to the Narlmarches, but then invite her to join the ruling council, and for them to give her the lands instead of Brevoy. Hopefully she's comported herself well enough that no one will object to that course of action.

I was thinking she would do well as the Marshal, as that would give her a good excuse to investigate and safeguard her holdings the next time we have significant downtime, and she is interested in helping institute a system of justice in Greenwatch as well. She could also do well as Councilor, but that would mean she would have to stay in the capital and that's less desirable to her since she wants to establish her presence in her county. Depending on how the other characters' stats fit in, she could maybe serve as the Grand Diplomat instead, though her personality is such that she could cause more problems with their neighbors than she solves...

Yeah, it didn't initially feel as though the kingdom roles were really all that available with the prominence of the NPC's. That being said, it's good to hear that the opportunities will be available.

I could see Ulricha either as Royal Enforcer (carrying out justice and hunting criminals), or Warden (specifically in the fact that the Warden is responsible for the safety of the kingdom leaders).

The plan is to make Ulricha progressively more formidable in battle, and when the gestalt pint comes, to go with Goliath druid, allowing giant wild shape, and using the majority of her spell casting as buffs for herself and her animal companion (planning on amped Megaloceros…the Great Elk of Great Elk).

That being said, if those positions are occupied, something sort of additional like Royal Champion… the Council’s Representative on the battlefield sort of thing, would work as well

Normally to make a masterpiece there is two factors: speed and the check.
