Highwire nods. [b]"Yes, indeed. I am good at leaping, but that is a bit more of a gap than I can clear without a lot of luck."[/ooc]

As the others discuss the broken bridge, Ulfgar gestures to the rest of the islands that are easily accessible to them.

![]() |

The captain also recommends landing on the flat part of the island (A1) owing to the presence of sub-surface rocks around the higher parts. There are two rowboats for you to use to get there.

![]() |

Highwire shrugs. "Guess we'll go ahead and explore the big island. I'm sure there's nothing on that smaller island that we'll need to worry about." They hop into the rowboat and grab an oar.

![]() |

”Lash it”
Axel walks up to the bridge and assesses how difficult it might be to throw a rope across, draw in the missing side, and secure it with a few good knots.
Crafting (Trained): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

![]() |

I don't think we're anywhere near the bridge at this point. If we're heading there, I'm guessing we'll have encounters before getting there.

![]() |

"Let's just go land at the appointed location. We'll deal with things as we find them. The Song of Spheres will guide our path."

![]() |

So you land at the indicated spot (A1) and you encounter a white rabbit with glowing red eyes.
((Picture on Slides))
What are you going to do?

![]() |

Highwire tries to figure out if they can recognize the cause of the glowing eyes, and what type of undead power the creature might wield.
Recall Knowledge(Religion to Identify Creature): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

”Where is your master?”
Remembering that Doreana Haven had a rabbit (slide 3), Axel inquires the beast. Perhaps the missing rotting skin of it’s second life provides it yet with an intelligence of it’s own?
Make an Impression (Diplomacy, Trained): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

![]() |

It appears to be a zombie rabbit. It looks at you, rather indifferently ((Diplomacy checks to improve it's attitude))

![]() |

Highwire, completely ill equipped to begin talking to zombie rabbits, moves a bit off to the side, trying to stay out of sight of the rabbit and any other beasties that may be shambling around the island.
Are we exploring during nighttime? So those of us with lowlight & darkvision don't have to deal with concealment, right?

![]() |

i think that was the plan, Sansa. I am using my wayfinder for light.
The Desnan cleric sighs mightily, having to deal with an undead familiar, but he does so nonetheless.
”Denufair, is that you? We are here to save your friend! Where is she?”
diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
I offer this hero point in tribute!
”Now who’s a good bunny?”
diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

![]() |

I presume this is night time

![]() |

Seeing that the bunny has not yet turned hostile but with still a wary eye on the creature, he too will call out to Denufair
Denufiar, make thyself known, especially if this be your rabbit familiar
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 diplomacy

![]() |

As the tension in the air intensifies, Axel lifts his wet nose into the air in an attempt to catch the scent of any nearby creature whom might or might not belong to this dead bunny...
Perception (+8 or +10 to seek prey) w/ Lowlight and Scent

The rabbit hops up to Kidron, sniffs him, then starts hopping back towards the steps. Maybe Kidron managed to Make an Impression.

![]() |

Highwire silently moves forward, remaining low to the ground in the poor lighting. Rather than taking the stairs, they climb up the side of the incline. Zagnut jumps out of Highwire'a hair and scurries up the cliff while Highwire climbs after.
I have Assurance on Athletics at 17, but I am guessing this is an expert DC 20, so I'll have to roll.
Climb(Athletics): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Climb(Athletics): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Zagnut peers over the edge, glancing down as Highwire has some difficulty. The purple squirrel shakes his head in disappointment as he waits for his gnome companion.

![]() |

Ulfgar has been eyeing the undead bunny warily. He follows when it seems to be leading them somewhere, but, just in case, studies it to figure out how to take it down quickly.
Hunt Prey on the bunny.

![]() |

The hopping bunny leads you to the left hand solid stone steps while Highwire scrambles up the cliff.
Could those trained in Stealth make a roll please as you start to ascend. Highwire, if trained, can also roll.

◆) Hunt Prey @ Bunny
Stealth (Trained): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Looking left and right, Axel slinks through the low fog, his steps careful and calculated, nose up smelling the air

![]() |

I'm not sure. Is there an Expert to Follow?

![]() |

The consistent grin across Axel's face widens in diameter as he perks one eyebrow up to chuckle and say "Heh - Garmon is Safe!"
Deception (Trained): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Hero Point!
Deception (Trained): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
He looks around at the party and says "Haunted Fog" before pulling his attention - via his nose - back into the thickening fog.
You can Disable the Haunt with a Trained Religion to exorcise the haunt, or Deception or Diplomacy to convincingly say Garmon is “safe”

![]() |

Stealth (untrained): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Ulfgar is no good at sneaking around and he simply stomps across the island.

![]() |

And that is enough to dissipate the Haunt and allow the party to proceed without harm.
The rabbit continues towards the centre of the island where you see three skeletons patrolling.
Is everyone seeing in the dark or is there at least one light source. If there is a light source, please make perception checks.

Perception (Expert) vs DC 20: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Axel points to Shade’s wayfinder ”They come for the light” watching the skeletons approach but unsure if they have been spotted...
...taking position behind the nearest cover to him if possible!
Avoid Notice

![]() |

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Blub. Squish does their best to be inconspicuous after Axel's note, but they are not the stealthiest of adventurers.

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Ulfgar grunts as he sees the skeletons' reaction to the light.
He draws his waraxe and clan dagger then moves off to the side a bit while focusing on the nearest skeleton (Hunt Prey.)
Then, he nods toward Shade, points his dagger toward the Wayfinder then points it toward the ground.

![]() |

Highwire considers whether these look like typical skeletons, or something more sinister.

![]() |

"I can extinguish the light, but then I would be blind. If it is just a few skeletons, I am sure we can handle it. Who would like disrupting weapon cast on their weapon?"
