Having only a basic knowledge of first aid (plus an expired certification in performing emergency tracheotomies), Tash positions himself across from Iseph so they can easily cover the entire space if there's any trouble.

You bring the last of your crates over to the general store. A half-elf who introduces himself as Dunchull Munthus greets you amiably.

"You must be the Starfinders! Everyone is talking about you. Welcome to my little store."

The shop is filled with locally grown foodstuffs and homemade goods: clothing, tools, furniture, and a variety of knickknacks. There are a few electronics in a locked case behind the counter which look like they’ve been repaired a few times.

"Well, yes! We do have a few things that could use repair. I do my best, but I only have so much to work with." He grabs a few items out of the case to have Iseph look at. They all seem to be fairly old models, with some skillful repair over the years.

Tash notes that some of the plants are Pact World varietals, but many are not, and are presumably native to this world. "Yeah, over on the east side of town. The animals sure used to cause trouble, but we put up some good fences, which helps a lot."

"Are those crates for us?" Assuming you say yes... "Well, that's very kind of you! Would you mind putting them in the back for me?"

Okido! Navasi says, trying to smile brightly, though as soon as she moves to the back of the store her face flashes back to 'resting state'. For her, this is a good opportunity to look around and see what this store holds.

This is probably the most genuine emotion you've seen since you've been here. He clearly associates you all with something really terrible that's happened to him.

Dunchell gently tries to stop you from going after him. "That's poor Roget. He hasn't been the same since his daughter died. She was a hunter, and the rock bears got her."

Seemingly trying to distract you from Roget, Dunchill offers you a little gift. “We don’t have much use for weapons around here, but this is sure a beautiful bit of carving done by my father. Perhaps one of you can use it.” He hands you a lovely wooden club carved with decorations on
the handle. This acts as a heavy sap.

Roget is a farmer, so it wouldn't be hard to find him in the farmlands. You also don't have to go everywhere unless you want to!

You head back to the launchpad and your ship. Going with the first location mentioned!

Please give me Engineering, Physical Science, and Perception checks as you look around the landing pad.

Grump and Amariel both think that the landing pad is in very good repair and seems like it sees frequent use.

At the north edge of the landing pad is a forklift and a few empty wooden crates. The crates are dirty and were damaged during the last supply drop. Each has splintered sides and missing planks.

When you look in the crates, you find a chunk of an unrefined green ore mostly encased in gray rock. Grump and Amariel both suspect that it is raw emerald.

Grump and Amariel both notice that there is a small black and yellow logo on the side of the crates, but it's too worn to be able to make it out in detail.

As you leave the landing pad, please give me a Fort save!

After standing here a few minutes, you each develop a terrible headache! Everyone except Amariel is now sickened.

Some powerful emerald, there!

You head to Founder's Square, hoping the distance from the substance might clear your heads. Founder’s Square is a small public park centered on a lacquered statue of Berrla Tonhue. The streets surrounding the park host several important buildings, including the church, general store, hospital, and town hall.

The statue is made from wood with many layers of lacquer to protect it from the elements. A small plaque beneath it reads “Berrla Tonhue, Braerton founder and hero,” along with the dates of her birth and death (192 AG–255 AG).

GM screen:

Amariel and Grump notice that the date of death on the plaque was changed from 235 AG to 255 AG after the statue was made.
