Tacitus does a quick dismount off of Maff, leaving him behind for this sneak up, before sneaking up behind Kunala and readying for Antonio's signal.
Taddy takes 10 for 22 stealth
Amelia Coin
Amelia, knowing her strength isn't in combat, casts guidance on her sister before she can join the others.
Note, Amelia is not slipping in there behind the others right now.
Kunala
Can we get a map like we had for the 'kitchen' fight? It was really helpful :)
Seeing everyone getting ready, Kunala nod towards Antonio as he gives the thumbs up. Moving towards the door he tells the others "I'll draw them to the door, be ready to attack when they step out."
Keeping the flaming blade in his left hand, he opens the swinging door with his right. Smiling he asks the drinking orcs. "Who dies first?"
Do we get a Suprise round?
Amelia Coin
Seeing things starting to happen quickly, Amelia steps up beside Kunala and says a brief prayer to Abadar for guidance while touching him on the shoulder.
Emre and Kunala now both have Guidance cast on them.
Kunala
With your permission, Kunala stepping into the doorway, would be his suprise round. You good with Tacitus and Antonio moving themselves on the map to where they intended to be?
Seeing the orcs still focused on the dice game, Kunala is relieved they did not see Antonio moving through the window. Turning to he others, "Remember we want to bring them to us."
Turning back to the orcs, he resists the urge to look for the swashbuckler, Kunala keeps his focus on the orcs. Tapping the door frame with his 'flaming sword' he asks again, "Who dies first?" Smiling as they look up at him, "Or are you tusk for brain's idiots so dim you don't understand Taldane?" Winking at the nearest, he lifts the dueling sword in a high guard, and steps back out of the doorway.

Érme Coin
Érme too stays back, perhaps reticent after the last combat with her brutish kin, perhaps just being canny in her tactics.
Instead the inquisitor levels her crossbow as overwatch over Tacitus, seeking the opening for a shot when opportunity presents...
Will delay pending how the confrontation goes. Not sure if she can shoot past/over Tacitus?
GM Tribute
Antonio crouches in the back of the tavern, having slipped in a window. Kunala taunts them as Maff launches a shot at them through the open swinging door in the moment it is open, a direct but glancing hit.
The orcs all jump to their feet, but the time it takes to sort out the winnings and draw their weapons is more than you would have thought.

Sorry, thought we were taking a surprise action and the first round, so will repeat the frist round.

Amelia backs away from the door and clears any potential lines of retreat as the others take the fight to the orcs.
GM Tribute
The left orc in front facing the door takes a glancing blow from a sling. Then another nasty blow a sling and a nasty bite from Maff. He staggers to his feet drawing a nasty two handed sword.
The rest of the orcs seem to be split between the great axe and the two handed sword as primary weapons. Maff becomes the primary target for the charge of three orcs and two axe and one sword both pierce his side, missing vitals but leaving him bleeding.
Kunala's prepared attack misses, but he deflects an orc greatsword and slams back staggering the orc with his riposte. Taddy dodges another.
An staggered orc remains with three other fully healthy orcs around Maff.
No one even looked in the back.

"Blast!" Cursing when he missed the orc on his attack, Kunala smiles when he strikes on the riposte'. Surprised as Taddy sent Maff into the middle of the orc hoard, Kunala winces as the pet skunk is struck. Shifting his feet, Kunala uses the momentum of the riposte' to bring the blade to a low guard. His eyes widen as the swashbuckler comes out of hiding and strikes one of the orcs. Concerned Antonio may be in danger he redoubles his effort to kill the blue? orc. Kunala finishes off the wounded orc with a deadly strike, but Erme's crossbow is wide. Antonio appears from hiding and staggers an orc surrounding Maff with a nasty blow.
The healty orc outside takes a swing at Taddy. The orcs inside concentrate on Antonio and one of the orcs gives Antonio the opportunity to strike as they surround him.
The orcs all miss Antonio as he dodges their blows easily. Taddy also evades the orc swing at him.

Dropping the orc should add to panache, so back @ 2. Is 'purple' wounded at all?
Dropping the right hand orc, Kunala looks past the other orc in the doorway. Seeing Antonio surrounded Kunala furrows his brow, telling the others, "We need to take some pressure off of Antonio." Ducking to avoid the blade of the orc in the doorway, Kunala tumbles into the room. Amelia yelps as one of the orcs comes out of the door towards Tacitus and Emre. She scrambles back, holding up her hands in a feeble defense. Her mind blanks as she panics.

Kunala and Antonio both strike the orcs in reaction to their moves and attacks. Then Antonio strikes again, wounding his target. Erme clubs an orc into submission with her crossbow. Amelia launches a mini meteor spark at an orc lightly wounding him.
Three of the orcs are staggered and barely hanging on while one in the back is not touched.

The greataxe bites deep, and the group dispatches the last wounded orc easily. Maff is stable but hurt. Kunala took a nasty hit when it looked almost over. Three great axes and three two handed swords along with six suits of leather armor show these orcs were adequately equipped.
Combat Over
Once again orcs prove nasty opponents capable of fighting when others would have fallen.
Taddy had tried to use his knowledge of the land and geography to think of another entrance to the cave, but he couldn't recall any alternate entrance. There were two buildings left to search. One looked like a general store (11) and the other a former shrine (12).

Amelia calms down as it becomes clear the fight is over. She feels... strange. During the fight, she'd done something unusual, and it bothers her that she can't think of what it was or why she'd been able to do it when her divine connection was spent. It is a concern for later she decides as she looks to Maff and tries not to let her inability to help upset her.
"I can't heal him. We should probably leave with the wagons and come back tomorrow when we are better able to fight, and hope that they don't find a way out while we recover."
Kunala
Kunala kept the Potion, caltrops and signal whistle from the fist orc he killed
Smiling as he cut down he orc, Kunala was not expecting the attack from the second one. "Aaaaggggghhh!" Letting out a scream as the axe bit deep into his shoulder, Kunala stepped back to get his bearings, relived as the others killed the last orc. Fishing in his pouch for the potion he'd taken from the first orc, he'd intended on using it for Maff, but as badly as he was wounded, he decides to use it on himself. Drinking the potion, the shoulder wound heals a little.
Moving his arm as Antonio asks about the last two building, Kunala chimes in, "I'm good with checking the last two buildings." He gestures towards the one that looks like a general store. "That one may have supplies to help us."

"I... I don't want anyone to die," Amelia says, feeling more than a little childish. "If we keep dancing on the edge like this, one of us will. I can't just mend everyone's wounds. I don't have the power left to do that."

The return to the druidic sanctuary is uneventful. The group has an evening to rest and recuperate. Sarah Jean is ready with some healing to fully heal your wounds before the nightly rest. The healing saps what little strength you had, and you sleep the deep slumber of the hard working and the just.
Waking up refreshed, you prepare your daily spells and perform divine rituals. Sarah Jean had prepared a huge breakfast and had saved questions for the morning. "Where is the recently reincarnated. I hope he did not go native and rejoin a local halfling settlement."
Kunala
As the others begin to head towards the druidic sanctuary, Kunala, loath to leave the wealth behind, considers going back to the storeroom to gather some valuables. Realizing it would mean he was returning through the woods alone, he gave up on the idea and hustled after the others.
Arriving at the sanctuary, Kunala is appreciative of Sarah Jean's ministrations. Worn out by the days fighting, Kunala eats some of the jerky, cheese and bread he has in his pack. Shortly after he is done eating, he readies his bedroll. Placing his scabbarded pike-decorated blade close to hand, he heads to bed.
Waking slightly stiff from the previous days combat, Kunala stretches his sore muscles and goes through some of the sword forms to make sure he doesn't tear anything. Joining the others for breakfast, he helps himself to some of the scrambled eggs and pan-seared ham. Answering Sarah Jean with a shrug. "We we're near the northern portion of the camp at the forests edge when he disappeared. I don't know if he went exploring without us and was captured by the enemy or if he wandered off into the woods."
As he began to eat he watched to see if anyone else had anymore information on their missing halfling.

causing the skunk's eyes to blink open into consciousness. Tacitus hugs him tightly, inspecting the remaining wounds and bandaging them up as best he can he realizes the party has been discussing the next action. he said nothing once he realized the were leaving the mine, and carefully led Maff after them, following them back to the druid's sanctuary.
The Next Morning:
Maff stood outside, puffing his morning pipe while maff still slept, Maff almost died yesterday. I've got to do better for him. he deserves better than to be cut down by disgusting orcs. he chastised himself privately before tamping out the bowl and heading inside.
He made himself a plate of flapjacks a foot tall, another plate of bacon and ham, a plate of eggs, and 1 more plate of hashbrowns; his appetite was so small after yesterday.
"to tell the truth Sara, He dinnae seem interested in being a halfling at all; but I didn't see what happened to him either."
Amelia Coin
Amelia listens and lets the others explain what became of Drektan. She has other things on her mind.
Amelia watches Emre after Sara heals her remaining wounds. She feels guilty. Guilty for not being able to protect her sister and even more guilty for not being able to heal her fully. As the two of them finish getting ready to sleep, she speaks up.
"Emre, I'm... I'm sorry. I couldn't..."
She chokes on the words as tears and sobs well up behind them.
