Bite Back! (A VTM 20th Anarch Chronicle) (Inactive)

Game Master Ridge

A group of Anarch NPCs find their city deserted by the Camarilla higher ups who fled because of an oncoming Sabbat attack. Turning the tables, the Anarchs do a mass embrace themselves hoping to beat the Sabbat to the punch... some of those embraced will be the PCs (A few will be NPCs the PCs may know).

The Camarilla has fled the City of Phoenix to abandon it to the Sabbat. Only the Anarchs and a few Independents are left at the start of our story.
Fresh Meat Recruits (including PCs)

Michael Starr (Brujah)
Morgrym Black (Lasombra)
Dylan Gantz (Follower of Set)
Sue Young (Caitiff)

Samantha Skarney (Tzimisce)- Lawrence's older sister. A doctor with armed forces background.
Mei Nguyen (Gangrel)- Intrepid reporter friend and co worker of Lawrence.

Natalie Kim (Toreador)- General manager and bass guitar player of the Chain Breakers! Lover and Friend to Micheal 'Bones' Starr

Kelly Gantz (Ravnos)- Dylan's sister. Kelly also attends ASU as a senior. She majors in speech therapy and is a pretty smart cookie.

Beth Black (Caitif) - Morgrym's sister

Mei-Hua Young, Sue’s older sister, trained in the art of torture and interrogation. Dead.
Wei-Ling Young, Sue's second sister, guided down the path of seduction and manipulation. Having a hard time forgiving Sue.
Xiao-Lan Young, Sue's third sister, taught the ways of the occult and became adept at performing some strange form of blood magic that Dr. Nefer Abdel-Rahman taught her. Has forgiven Sue.

The Anarchs
Crimson Dream Coterie - A group of Anarchs who first discovered the Camarilla's desertion and now want to protect Phoenix. If they can pull this off, they'll save a lot of human lives and claim the city for the Anarch Dream!
Membership includes:
D-Man (Brujah)- Diego Manuel , a latino man with a mohawk tends to see himself as the leader of the Crimson Dream which is questionable but he does keep things moving. Is quite dangerous to cross.
Márohu- (Gangrel)- A sometimes slovenly and pragmatic woman, probably the Coterie's second best fighter. Often restless.
T.C (Toreador)- Platinum haired. blue eyed knock out. Originally considered a poseur but she has gained some real acting and disguise chops over the decades.
Trevor (Caitiff)- The most vanilla of the bunch but has a much needed ability to play with memories.. and darker secrets still.
Writhe (Malkavian) - Redheaded Malk Girl from LA.

Pagan Heels Coterie- Less idealistic than the Crimson Dream, the Pagan Heels are still anarchs relishing the fun of unlife and are something of a crime gang. They don't like the Sabbat though so when when the Crimsons called they showed up to help.
Membership includes:
Azerrad (Lasombra)- An attractive enough woman who enjoys testing herself and is happy to show she's better than Sabbat Lasombra.
Ceiridwen (Nosferatu)- Often wears biker helmet with dark glass.
Magpie (Ravnos)- Wears black and white and while most think his 'vice' is theft, he likes to joke they don't know half of what he's up to.
Behemoth-(Tzimisce) A brute of a man, huge, and also a Tzimisce. His size and thick Slav accent has folks thinking he is dumber than he is.

The Camarilla of Phoenix:
The Camarilla were never in great numbers in Phoenix, the primogen council only had two or three members as some low clans found themselves discouraged from settling in, and the Tradition of progeny was ruthlessly enforced. Now Elysiums are unused, the Tremere Chantry, small though it was, is deserted. The Prince, one Ventrue named Ronald Lennon abandoned his post considering them a lost cause. If any camarilla kindred remain in the city, they are in hiding, but so far no sign.

The Independents- Few known Independents were in the area even before the fleeing from the Sabbat.
Now only one Follower of Set is known. Professor Hugh Waret has no intention of leaving his cushy spot and with no Camarila to stop his own embracing he is 'helping', as Setites do.

The Sabbat are coming for Phoenix and they are here to recruit. More than one pack is on its way.
One pack is The Infection and they are a recruiting pack as well as practiced invaders. Each one enjoys planting someone in the ground and seeing what pops up. Freedom is only for TRUE Sabbat, so they're not above dominate and presence to motivate the newly undead to charge.

Metaplot notes for this game:

The Gangrel have given the Cams a finger. More and more Brujah are doing the same.
The Great Leap Forward was a failure in LA and the Anarch free states. The Sabbat are still a major threat (That's the basis for this story after all) and advancing.

The Ravnos Ante was nuked, but ironically the Ravnos who were playing with others did better than the ones who only assocated with other Ravnos. The Ravnos among the Anarch Free state were subdued by their Anarch buddies not of the same blood for their own good. Ditto for the Ravnos Antis. The ravnos who only hung out with other ravnos had no one to stop them from feeding on each other. The result is a lot of remaining Ravnos are not the ones most dedicated to the Path of Paradox or the old caste system. They're more a scattered bloodline than a Clan.

The Assamites /Bani Haqim are making overtures into joining the Camarilla, at least some of them. The main clan has gone super zealot and the curse is broken. This has depleted the Sabbat of many former Assamite Anti (but not all).

The Followers of Set, caught between Sabbat advances and Camarilla indifference are getting cozier with the Anarchs. In fact, one temple in the city is going to help the Anarchs survive if they can.

The Giovanni.. are not having a good time. The week of nightmares and attempts to shred the shroud backfired on them, and all the enemies they ever made among ghosts and kindred alike are now either hunting them or gobbling up their assets. At the time of the game, Giovanni are going the way of the Salubri only they deserve it more.

The Second inquisition with world governments enacting programs to destroy all vampires are not ongoing... YET. For now the Masquerade holds.

Overview of Phoenix districts:

Downtown
This area spans approximately two to three square miles, with main arteries running along Central Avenue and Washington/Jefferson Streets respectively. Three out of the five tallest skyscrapers in Arizona are in Downtown Phoenix.

Midtown
There are a handful of officially recognized and protected historic neighborhoods and a variety of cultural, performance, and sporting venues in this area of town.

West Phoenix
Includes Maryvale and Estrella, this area has seen its better days and is suffering urban decline. However, a highlight in the area includes the Cricket Pavilion which is a great place to see a concert.

North Phoenix
Includes Deer Valley, Desert View, North Mountain, North Gateway, Norterra/Happy Valley, and New Village. The Phoenix Mountains are located here and offer a plethora of hiking and outdoor activities.

Camelback East
A very upscale area of town which contains the famous Biltmore Hotel, Papago Park, the Phoenix Zoo, and world class resorts. The surrounding area is also known to feature expensive office space, upscale stores, and luxury homes.

South Phoenix
This area is home to South Mountain Regional Park, the largest municipal park in the country. However, the neighborhood at it's base is fairly run-down and many sections are not safe. Laveen is a semi-rural area that is nonetheless seeing increasing development.

Ahwatukee
An upscale neighborhood of Phoenix, Arizona bordered on the north by South Mountain Regional Park, on the east by I-10 and the cities of Chandler and Tempe.

Places of Note

Rip House - A punk rock club that's seen better days but can still pull the talent. Slowly sinking into the red but a good place for Licks to visit.

A.S.U - Downtown Phoenix Campus, formerly a hunting ground reserved to the Camarilla elite and one Indpendent Setite; with the vanishing of the former, the latter is working to add the anarchs he has so he doens't lose his cozy position. Night Classes surprisingly successful here.

KRAZ-10- The Fox affiliate news studio of the city and surrounding area.
