Quick question, DM - when you call for a Will Save like that, would you like us to roll even if it isn't our turn yet, or just when our next turn comes around?

Also, would you like us to roll the 1d4 for dazed rounds, or is that your roll?

in this case, I will have you roll your Will save now or on your turn, and the duration if a failure. It won't have an impact until you try to Strike, so it can wait until your turn, if that makes sense.

If it was a different effect, that modified other factors, I might have just rolled it for you.

Three Emperor Birds are a moderate challenge for a party of 6. Should be about 120xp for this encounter (not that we are tracking...).

Definitely think we just had a real string of unlucky rolls there.

Certainly hasn’t been holding our hands in combat so far, pretty fun.

Enjoy the wedding! Combat is harder in 2e, monsters hit harder, (level 2 monster has +11 to hit?) but three action economy from the party eventually wears them down. You've had a couple critical hits against you that skew that a bit, but while hard, my other groups did not have anyone outright die in this AP (so far).

Door opening policy: check it over for traps, like things triggered by opening the door, check for locked doors and lockpick them if necessary, and then slowly, stealthily open.

Hey Y'all, I'm officially back in action and home.

Had my wife relaying some of the games going ons and had her make a couple posts for me, she also does PbP.

I'm really bummed I missed a real pivotal moment when Fentus uncovered evidence of his Father! Felt like a real culmination of some of his initial characterization, so I might try to swing back around to that later when/if we camp for the night.
